Howard C. Bauer
- Production Manager
- Producer
Howard Bauer's extensive experience makes him a valued asset for top-level production companies,
networks and studios as an executive in charge of production for reality competition, game shows and
streaming services.
Howard successfully manages the details of complex productions by working synergistically with production companies, looking to deliver the best possible product. His approach allows him to work collaboratively with all departments, and his understanding of the creative vision of a production is essential to his ability to problem solve on the fly.
In 2019 he successfully launched the premiere season of "Love Island USA," filmed on location in Fiji, airing daily, broadcasting from Fiji to the US on CBS. When Covid prevented the 2020 season from traveling back to Fiji, the show pivoted to a Las Vegas location and was one of the first productions to ramp up during the Covid lockdown. For four months the show's 400+ person cast and crew tirelessly worked virtually 24/7 while adhering to strict Covid protocols with no show stop downs.
Howard's Love Island stint came on the heels of the acclaimed Netflix series "Rhythm & Flow," a talent competition show looking for the next break-out rap star, with judges Cardi B, Chance the Rapper and TI. Previously, Bauer worked on another marquee show that benefited from Howard's production talents: the glossy and ever-challenging "MasterChef" and the launch of "MasterChef Junior."
His cumulative experience working on both location and stage as well as his past corporate experience at Sony and Hasbro Studios helps him navigate the ever-changing corporate waters. It's all supported by the framework of his strong work ethic and his ability to assemble an effective and loyal support team, which also contributes to his professional success.
Bauer excels at putting all the pieces of the production puzzle together, with all the challenges, demands and expectations of producing an exceptional show. In each instance, he is the one who ensures the production team's efforts and results exceed the goals that are set. Howard always looks for a way to solve problems with a win for both the creative and production side. At the end of the day, he and his team look for solutions to keep the money on the screen.
