The Man from Snowy River receives a mostly glowing review from two stunt performers. Based on the Banjo Paterson poem of the same name, the 1982 Australian Western follows a young man who, after the death of his father, sets out to become his own man by taking a job with a horse rancher, earns the love of his daughter, and fights to clear his name after being wrongly blamed for losing an expensive horse. The movie stars Kirk Douglas, Jack Thompson, Tom Burlinson, Sigrid Thornton, Terence Donovan, Chris Haywood, and Lorraine Bayly.

On the latest episode of Corridor Crew's "Stuntmen React" series, host Niko Pueringer was joined by stunt performers Gui DaSilva-Greene and Anis Cheurfa to breakdown action scenes in movies, including a horse stunt in The Man from Snowy River. Watch the portion of the video below:

Chris Thomson, one of the founding directors of the burgeoning New Zealand film and television industry in the 1960s, died in Sydney after a sudden stroke on July 1. He was 70.

Born in Wellington, Thomson directed the first ever drama to air on New Zealand television, A Game for 5 Players, followed by the series The Alpha Plan.

After relocating to the UK in the early 1970s, he worked as a director with the BBC before returning to Australia to direct acclaimed miniseries 1915, Waterfront and The Last Bastion and the feature films The Empty Beach, The Perfectionist and The Delinquents.

He also directed the first ever episode of A Country Practice in 1981. The exodus of actors from International Casting Services (Ics) continues as the agency founded 52 years ago by the late Gloria Payten prepares to shut its doors.

This week Cameron.s Management announced David Roberts and Jennifer Hagan had joined its agency after earlier signing Drew Forsythe.

Lisa Mann Creative Management (Lmcm) confirmed it is now representing former Ics clients Alycia Debnam-Carey, Christie Whelan Browne, Sophie Ross and Justin Cotta.

Linsten Morris Management has signed Dee Smart and her daughter Charlie Hancock.

Melina McKenna, who was a senior agent at Ics, joined Lmcm on June 4, and Martin Sacks, Kris McQuade, Helen Dallimore, Erica Lovell, Jo Turner, Nick Simpson-Deeks, Edmund Lembke-Hogan, Kip Gamblin and Nathan O.Keefe crossed from Ics to Lmcm.
