Yellowstone Creator Taylor Sheridan Appeared In A Classic Western Series That's Streaming For Free
Image
Alongside taking over the TV landscape with a staggering array of series, Taylor Sheridan has been engaging in a sort of Western boosterism. The man who rose to TV prominence by creating and scripting the hugely successful neo-Western series "Yellowstone" has since churned out multiple spin-offs alongside a raft of other series, many of which are either Westerns themselves or inspired by the genre. At this point, there are almost a dozen shows under the Sheridan umbrella, including a Western series that you've probably never heard of but which sums up the man's modus operandi.

"The Last Cowboy" is a reality competition series that focuses on the sport of horse reining, wherein contestants compete in the "Run for a Million" event, which was started by none other than Sheridan himself. As the official site of the event states, the "Run for a Million" and "The Last Cowboy" are designed to...

Arrow Video is bringing Creepshow 2 to 4K Uhd
Image
The George A. Romero / Stephen King horror anthology Creepshow is one of my all-time favorite movies – and so is the Michael Gornick-directed sequel Creepshow 2, which I’ve probably watched even more times than its predecessor. I love everything about Creepshow 2, so I was very glad to hear the news that Arrow Video is giving the film a 4K Uhd release in the US, the UK, and Canada. The release date is September 30th, and copies can be pre-ordered through a variety of links (check out the list on Arrow Video’s Facebook page), including This One.

Directed by Gornick from a screenplay by George A. Romero (based on stories written by Stephen King), Creepshow 2 has the following synopsis: Join our old friend, the rotting Creep himself, as he introduces this horror anthology which presents gruesome looks at three tales of horror: a hit-and-run driver in “The Hitchhiker...

Creepshow 2 (1987)
Creepshow 2 (1987) – Wtf Happened to This Horror Movie?
Creepshow 2 (1987)
A new episode of the JoBlo Horror Originals video series Wtf Happened to This Horror Movie? has just been released, and for this one we’re digging into the making of one of my all-time favorite movies: the 1987 horror anthology Creepshow 2 (watch it Here)! To find out what went into the making of Creepshow 2, check out the video embedded above.

Directed by Michael Gornick from a screenplay by George A. Romero (based on stories written by Stephen King), Creepshow 2 has the following synopsis:

Join our old friend, the rotting Creep himself, as he introduces this horror anthology which presents gruesome looks at three tales of horror: a hit-and-run driver in “The Hitchhiker”, a wooden Indian in “Ol’ Chief Wooden Head”, and four friends whose vacation on a secluded lake turns into a nightmare in “The Raft”. Creepshow 2 is a deliciously wicked roller coaster ride that will...

‘Grindhouse 12: Shadowzone’ Review
Stars: Louise Fletcher, David Beecroft, James Hong, Frederick Flynn, Shawn Weatherly, Miguel A. Núñez Jr., Lu Leonard, Maureen Flaherty, Robbie Rives | Written and Directed by J.S. Cardone

Now this is more like it! One of Full Moon’s lesser-known movies, Shadowzone originally debuted in 1990, just after Puppet Master exploded on to the scene. It is also the second of three Full Moon Productions (the company name was later changed to Full Moon Entertainment) that were lensed between 1989 and 1991 – the others being Puppet Master and Meridian, both of which have already had the DVD, and in Puppet Master‘s case, Blu-ray, treatment from 88 Films.

Shadowzone sees a group of Nasa hyper-sleep researchers conducting tests in an abandoned underground facility in the Nevada desert. When one subject dies during the test, Nasa sends in Captain Hickock (Beecroft) to investigate. and what he finds is more horrific than the death itself. The scientists,...

Shadowzone (Review - Little Seen Must See)
1990 - 88 mins. - Rated R

D: J.S. Cardone

C: Lousie Fletcher, David Beecroft, James Hong, Frederick Flynn, Shawn Weatherly

Group of sleep researchers trapped in an underground facility open up a portal to another dimension and accidentally release an alien that can transform itself into people's worst fears.

Ripoffs are inherently inferior films since they are copies of someone else's work. Shadowzone does ripoff Alien and A Nightmare on Elm Street. Still, a well made, well acted horror film is a well made, well acted horror film even if it copies the ideas of another film. That's where Shadowzone falls into place. Shadowzone has a more then competent cast of players at the helm, including James Hong and Oscar winner Louise Fletcher of One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest. Shadowzone is a low budget film, but the overall production values are definitely more then sufficient. Shadowzone grabs ahold of the...
