Keratyna Now Streaming On Amazon Prime

One of the most quietly strange entries from last year’s Panic Fest is now streamable. Keratyna, written and directed by Miguel Azurmendi, is a Spanish-language thriller blending dark comedy, techno-paranoia, and social critique.

The film stars Fernando Ramallo as “The Rat,” a balding, middle-aged conspiracy vlogger who still lives with his mother (Maiken Beitia). Though abrasive on the surface, Rat is steeped in self-loathing and existential confusion. His YouTube channel feeds off the paranoia of global manipulation, and yet, when he witnesses a crime outside his window, he freezes. This is no straightforward thriller as Azurmendi channels everything from Rear Window and The Conversation to They Live and Vertigo, reimagined for the age of QAnon and algorithmic loneliness.
