Fact Check: Is 1923 Star Brandon Sklenar Joining MCU as This Superhero?
Image
Brandon Sklenar, who is known for his roles in 1923 and It Ends With Us, was rumored earlier this year to be joining the MCU as the superhero Nova. The actor was rumored to have had a meeting with studio chief Kevin Feige, and while nothing was confirmed, an industry insider, Jeff Sneider, mentioned that they were looking at him for Richard Rider.

Ryan Gosling was rumored to be a favorite for the part despite the Barbie star expressing his love for Ghost Rider. However, Sklenar became a new favorite for the part after Sneider’s scoop (via The Hot Mic).

Brandon Sklenar…I think he is somebody to keep an eye on for the role of Richard Rider in the Nova series…I think that Nova is trying to go in the fall… but keep an eye on him because I think that Marvel’s high on him. I know...

Shelved Marvel TV Show Reportedly May Get Turned Into a Movie
Image
Several Marvel Studios projects have stalled in the development process, but there may still be hope for one shelved Disney+ series. Earlier in the year, reports showed that Marvel had paused three projects it was planning for Disney+: Strange Academy, Nova, and Terror, Inc. According to a new report, one of these shows has a chance at a new life, as Marvel Studios considers transitioning it to become a film instead.

Industry insider Daniel Richtman reports that Marvel Studios is considering reworking the Nova Disney+ show into a movie instead. Richtman revealed the studio is debating the best format for some of its shelved concepts, including Nova and Strange Academy. Nova's shelving was particularly surprising as steam was building behind the Disney+ project. Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige had publicly said to expect the show by 2028, and the studio had hired Ed Bernero as a showrunner in late...

New Rumors Highlight the Key Role of Nova TV Series in the MCU’s Next Saga
Image
A few months ago Marvel Television has put development on hold for three upcoming TV series: Nova, Strange Academy, and Terror, Inc. While these shows were never officially confirmed, we covered them extensively in the past via various inside scoops and leaks. Sources have revealed that they’re currently not moving forward.

The ‘Nova’ news is especially shocking, taking into account how Winderbaum praised the direction of the show just a few months ago while confirming that the show has exited the early development stage and is shaping up nicely.

The Nova series apparently seemed like the furthest along, with plans for Sabir Pirzada to write the adaptation. The show was initially looking to focus on Richard Rider, the last surviving member of the Nova Corps. Recently, Criminal Minds writer Ed Bernero was brought on as showrunner to replace Pirzada, but now the project has been paused for the time being.

While these shows were never officially confirmed, we covered them extensively in the past via various inside scoops and leaks. Sources have revealed that they’re currently not moving forward. However, there’s still a possibility they could be picked up later.

Paget Brewster Joined Criminal Minds Because the Original Actress Hated Living in Los Angeles
Image
Since her arrival in Criminal Minds in the middle of season 2, Paget Brewster has proven to be an asset in the procedural drama as Emily Prentiss. Although her run in the show has been riddled with drama, especially during the early seasons, as of now, Brewster is still going strong as one of the leading figures in its revival, whose fourth season is around the corner..

However, her impeccable run in the revered procedural might never have been realized if it wasn’t for one actress, who parted ways with the show in season 2 due to her hatred for LA.

Lola Glaudini’s detest for LA inadvertently led to Paget Brewster’s debut

Having made her debut in the original season, Lola Glaudini’s Elle Greenaway proved to be a mixed bag, as while on one hand, some found her compelling, on the flip side, a notable portion of the...

Paget Brewster: I Begged My Agent to Get Me Into Shows Like ‘Criminal Minds’ Because “I Was Tired of Living in Hotels” All the Time
Image
Paget Brewster’s journey to becoming Emily Prentiss on Criminal Minds was a deliberate move toward stability. After years of bouncing between roles and living out of suitcases, Brewster reportedly urged her agent to find her a position on a long-running procedural. She was drawn to the idea of consistent work in one location, a stark contrast to the transient lifestyle she’d been leading.

Since joining Criminal Minds, Brewster has become a cornerstone of the series, with her character evolving from a team member to a leader. Her decision to seek out a role that offered both professional fulfillment and personal stability has clearly paid off, allowing her to build a lasting legacy on one of television’s most enduring crime dramas.

“It’s nothing like those other CBS procedural shows”: Why ‘Criminal Minds’ Producer Hated His Show Being Compared to ‘NCIS’ and ‘Law & Order’
Image
You wouldn’t dare say this to the Criminal Minds fanbase now, but during its inception, the show was considered another TV crime drama knockoff. One of the longest-running procedural dramas in television, Criminal Minds started off against Lost on Wednesday nights on CBS.

Critics wanted it to fail badly, but the show went on for season after season, even long after Lost aired its disastrous finale season. On every episode of the show, the Behavioral Analysis Unit of the FBI would help catch a serial killer, and their missions take them all over America.

While the initial critical review called it pedestrian in its concept, the executive producer of the show was ready to fight these reviews. According to Mark Gordon, Criminal Minds was nothing like the other procedural shows on CBS.

She played the role of FBI Agent Elle Greenaway, and her character was known for being smart, strong, and bringing a lot of heart to the team.

Rumor: Taylor Swift Up For Mysterious Superhero Role; Updates On Nova And Midnight Sons
Image
We are still hearing that Taylor Swift is hoping to land a superhero role, but who could she play - and for which franchise?

The Swift as Dazzler rumors first began when the singer's likeness was used for the musical mutant's album cover in X-Men: Apocalypse. Nothing ever came of it back then, but the rumors persisted. Speculation really kicked into overdrive when the pop megastar was spotted at the Kansas City Chiefs versus New York Jets game with Deadpool and Wolverine director Shawn Levy and stars Ryan Reynolds (Wade Wilson) and Hugh Jackman (Wolverine) in 2023.

Of course, Swift was nowhere to be seen in the movie, but follow-up rumors have claimed that she has met with Marvel Studios' Kevin Feige about a potential role, be it Alison Blair or someone else (The Blonde Phantom was one character that was said to be on the table).

Now, scooper Daniel Richtman...

Rumor: X Academy TV series in the works at Marvel?
Image
Yesterday, we learned that Marvel Studios has “paused” the development of three shows they were planning for the Disney+ streaming service: Nova, which seemed to be relatively far along in the development process, with Edward Allen Bernero in the showrunner position and casting rumors swirling; Strange Academy, which was expected to star Benedict Wong as his Sorcerer Supreme character Wong, running a school in New Orleans to educate young individuals with magical abilities; and Terror, Inc., which I don’t think anyone had heard rumors about before, a show that would have centered on an antihero called Terror, “who possesses the ability to incorporate the body parts of others into his own form, gaining their memories and abilities.” During the latest episode of their podcast The Hot Mic, industry scooper Jeff Sneider and critic John Rocha discussed the news that these projects had been paused – and Sneider took the opportunity...

Henry Cavill’s “MCU Debut” Will Have to Wait: Marvel Has a Disappointing News for Us

Henry Cavill was most recently rumored to play Richard Rider in the TV show Nova. Fans saw him last year as Wolverine in Marvel’s Deadpool & Wolverine, and the cameo entry excited Marvel fans to the core. If Cavill’s role in the MCU is that of the first Nova, fans are in for a huge disappointment.

New Details On Nova, Strange Academy And Terror Inc. - Which Were Seemingly Further Along Than We Realized
Image
We got the disappointing news that Marvel Studios has decided to hit pause on three prospective Disney+ shows earlier today, and based on these new details, Nova, Terror Inc. and Strange Academy may have been a little further into development than we've previously been led to believe.

According to Deadline, none of the above projects had actually been given the green light, and "may still come to fruition at some point." Marvel is said to have "shifted its priorities," and Daniel Richtman believes this change in direction involves holding off "until they see a pilot they’re satisfied with. They also want to focus on grounded, and cheaper shows."

The reliable scooper has also shared what he's heard about all three projects, and it makes for very interesting reading.

Inside Scoop: What ‘Nova,’ ‘Strange Academy,’ & ‘Terror, Inc.’ Could’ve Been If Marvel Didn’t Hit Pause
Image
Earlier today news broke that Marvel Studios is hitting pause on three shows that were apparently in development, Nova, Strange Academy, and Terror, Inc. The reasons cited are general shifts in development strategy.

This shift in direction is part of a larger change in how Marvel approaches television. Unlike the past, where series development was handled like movie productions—with a list of announced projects almost guaranteed to be made—Marvel now follows a more traditional TV development process. This new model means the studio is working on many more ideas than will actually make it to the screen.

This change comes after Marvel’s leadership decided to rethink how it develops shows, especially as they rework the Daredevil: Born Again series. The idea is to be more cautious, focusing on a smaller number of projects to avoid over-saturating the market with superhero content.

Now industry insider, Daniel Richtman shared...

Three Marvel Streaming Shows Halted As Disney Figures Out This Whole TV Thing
Image
Richard Rider's long and tortured journey to becoming a live-action superhero simply isn't to be ... and his much buzzed-about TV series isn't the only developing Marvel project to suddenly hit a snag. Originally, and as recently as 2018, Marvel Studios head honcho Kevin Feige had big-screen ambitions for the comic book character known as Nova. Eventually, however, those shifted to a streaming series headed by Marvel Television. Now, that "Nova" production appears to be put on indefinite hold as the franchise goes back to the drawing board as part of a move that has also similarly affected "Strange Academy" and "Terror, Inc."

Deadline has the scoop on this less-than-ideal update, describing the studio as having "paused development" on these three titles. Granted, none of them were ever officially greenlit and the report goes out of its way to mention that all of these series could potentially still happen at some point down the line.

Marvel has put a hold on the development of Nova, Strange Academy and Terror, Inc. TV shows
Image
While many people feel that Marvel movies need to get back on a cohesive track, their television division has faced their own issues. Back in 2023, it was revealed that Daredevil: Born Again was going to be completely retooled after Kevin Feige and Marvel execs were not satisfied with the direction the anticipated show was heading in. The major overhaul echoed the infamous reshoots that the recent Captain America: Brave New World had gone through. As audiences wait with crossed fingers that Daredevil: Born Again comes out unscathed by the retooling, Deadline now reports that Marvel Television has paused the development of three planned shows: Nova, Strange Academy, and Terror, Inc.

According to Deadline’s sources, these shows were never officially given the greenlight. However, even with Marvel pausing the development, they have left the door open to possibly revisit them in the future. The company has simply decided to reshift their focus onto other projects.

Marvel Studios Is No Longer Moving Forward With Nova, Strange Academy, And Terror, Inc. TV Shows
Image
Marvel Television boss Brand Winderbaum warned that the studio is now "developing more than we make" and Deadline brings word today that Nova, Strange Academy, and Terror, Inc. have all been shelved.

According to the trade, none of these projects were ever officially greenlit and "may still come to fruition at some point." It's said that, for the time being, "[Marvel Studios] has simply shifted its priorities."

Part of the reason work on these shows has been paused is the new approach Marvel is taking to developing TV shows. Originally, they were handled like movies; a "Head Writer" was appointed to pen the series, with a director (or directors) then coming in to helm the action.

That approach didn't quite work and neither did attempts to do the usual reshoots once production wrapped. It was too pricey and led to a dip in quality; Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige was...

Marvel Pauses Development On ‘Nova,’ ‘Strange Academy,’ & ‘Terror, Inc.’ TV Series
Image
Exclusive: Marvel Television has paused development on three projects: Nova, Strange Academy and Terror, Inc.

Sources stressed to Deadline that these projects were never officially greenlit, and may still come to fruition at some point. The studio has simply shifted its priorities at the moment.

We’re told the decision is also reflective of a new model for producing television that’s emerged at Marvel in recent years. Originally, Marvel approached series development in much the same way it handled features: a slate was announced, and what was teased was more or less what got made. A couple of years ago, senior leadership decided to retool the development process, as they were also revamping their new Daredevil series, Born Again.

Marvel’s new approach to TV development is more traditional, with many more projects being developed than will ultimately be made, and showrunners being brought in to oversee each. Shifting...

Yellowstone spin-off and It Ends with Us star Brandon Sklenar continues to campaign for the role of Batman in James Gunn’s Dcu, calling the role “a dream.” The actor, who has become a popular fancast for the role of Bruce Wayne in the planned reboot The Brave and the Bold, is confident in his ability to play The Dark Knight, telling The Playlist recently that he’s “built for it.”

“I’ve seen a bunch of fan-casting for this Batman thing [“The Brave & The Bold”] and that’s very interesting to me, I love Batman. That would be a dream, for sure. But we’ll see what happens, I’m built for it.

'State of Affairs' From the Creator of ‘The Recruit’ Deserves a Second Look

Season 2 of The Recruit has been much better than the first. While Season 1 only had a 68% Tomatometer score, the second chapter came in strong with 91%, making it one of the best-reviewed seasons of any spy show. This is hardly surprising, considering the stakes are way higher this time. In his second outing, CIA lawyer Owen Hendricks (Noah Centineo) finds himself in Seoul, where he has to help South Korea's National Intelligence Service (Nis) agent, Jang Kyun (Teo Yoo), deal with a Yakuza problem. The entire saga is linked to a cryptocurrency jointly developed by the CIA and Nis.

There's Only 1 More Thanos Scene I Need The MCU To Show Before He's Gone For Good
Image
It's unclear if Marvel will ever bring Thanos back, but I need to see one previously mentioned scene before the MCU is done with the character. Thanos was the central villain of the Infinity Saga, and he delivered in every way. Since he debuted in The Avengers post-credit scene, Thanos' presence built slowly before confronting the Avengers in Avengers: Infinity War. While his motives were more understandable than many villains, his methods were despicable, and he left a reign of terror over the planets he and his armies encountered.

Thanos wreaked havoc on the universe for many years, with his quest to acquire all six Infinity stones decimating several planets, and eventually leading to his temporary victory. However, the Avengers inevitably won, bringing back everyone he snapped out of existence. Still, many planets remained destroyed after battling Thanos, including Xandar, the home of the Nova Corps featured in Guardians of the Galaxy.

Brad Winderbaum at an event for Thor: Ragnarok (2017)
Almost three years have gone by since we heard that Marvel Studios had hired Moon Knight writer Sabir Pirzada to start developing a Disney+ TV series that would center on the character Nova… but we never heard anything more about Nova until earlier this year, when Brad Winderbaum, the head of streaming, television, and animation at Marvel, told the Phase Zero podcast, “We love Nova. We are in really early development on Nova.” Soon after, Kevin Feige, the President of Marvel Studios, confirmed to ComicBook.com that a Nova TV series is “happening, it’s coming together.” Now, industry scooper Jeff Sneider of The InSneider has broken the news that Nova has found its showrunner!

Sneider wrote on X, “Ed Bernero to showrun Nova for Marvel.“

A ‘Criminal Minds’ Veteran Will Showrun Marvel’s ‘Nova’ Series
Image
Marvel’s slate in 2024 has been thinner than years prior, much of which is due to the fallout of the 2023 WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, but 2025 will crank up the heat with more than eight projects confirmed to release. However, one Marvel project that Head of TV and Streaming Brad Winderbaum has confirmed to be in development just got a major update, despite lacking a spot on the official release schedule. A new report from Deadline revealed that Ed Bernero, best known for his work on Criminal Minds and Crossing Lines, will write and showrun Marvel’s Nova series. When the project was first announced in 2022, it was followed by the news that Moon Knight writer Sabir Pirzada would pen the script, but he has since departed and Bernero will serve as his replacement.

Marvel's Long-Delayed 'Nova' Series Finally Takes Major Step Forward
Image
While the Marvel Cinematic Universe has launched countless successful TV shows like WandaVision, Agatha All Along, and Hawkeye, one project has always failed to get off the ground — which is ironic considering its set in outer space. Marvel's Nova series has been in fans' minds since the Nova Force debuted in Guardians of the Galaxy. The project was announced in 2019, but fans have heard little about Nova since. Thankfully, Marvel fans finally have some good news.

Nova has bounced in and out of development hell for years, but a new face could be sailing the (space) ship out of the storm. Ed Bernero has officially joined Nova as a writer and showrunner. Bernero has been writing and producing hit shows since the '90s, often within the police drama/crime genre. His most popular show to date is by far Criminal Minds, which debuted in 2005, and is currently in its 18th season.

MCU Show About Marvel's Nova Superhero Gets First Update In 2.5 Years As It Moves Forward With Criminal Minds Showrunner

Marvel Studios takes a significant step forward in the Nova show's development over two years after the project's first announcement. The Nova Corps made their first MCU appearance in The Guardians of the Galaxy, and they were decimated off-screen by Thanos before the events of Avengers: Infinity War. Ten years after the Nova Corps' debut, their Avengers-level hero Richard Rider hasn't appeared in any MCU movie or show. This will finally change with Marvel's Nova series.

As reported by Deadline, Criminal Minds showrunner Ed Bernero joins Marvel Studios' Nova series as head writer, replacing Moon Knight writer Sabir Pirzada. Nova is yet to receive a tentative release date, lead actor, and synopsis. However, the series is unlikely to be released before Phase 7.

The trade also confirms that Nova will focus on the original version of the space-faring hero, Richard Rider, although that doesn't mean Sam Alexander won't also feature. Previous rumors have claimed that Rider will be joined by a number of other characters (presumably members of the Nova Corps).

Bernero served as executive producer and showrunner of classic CBS’ drama series Criminal Minds, and also co-created and executive produced spin-off Suspect Behaviour. He previously co-created and executive produced NBC’s Third Watch, and also created and executive produced crime drama series Crossing Lines.

Image
There has been a major development on Marvel’s ‘Nova’ in the works for Disney+. Former Criminal Minds showrunner Ed Bernero has come on board as a writer and showrunner on the series project, which centers on Richard Rider aka Nova.

Bernero replaces Moon Knight scribe Sabir Pirzada, who was originally tapped as writer when the project was first put into development two and a half years ago. At the time, it was unclear whether it would be developed as a feature film or a limited series; Nova has since taken a series direction.

Nova first appeared in an 1976 issue of Super Adventures was member of the intergalactic police force known as the Nova Corps, for which he gained superhuman abilities including enhanced strength, flight and resistance to injury. While the character didn’t have many run-ins with some of the main figures of the current or past MCU, he...

Image
Criminal Minds has raged on as one of the top-rated police procedural thriller-mystery crime dramas in the history of entertainment, with its suspensive and mysterious elements perfectly captivating viewers worldwide. Throughout the course of its 17-season long run, the drama has not only been led by a star-studded cast but has also been met with quite a few guest appearances.

One of those very guest appearances included Jason Alexander’s as well. However, even though the actor has starred in shows like Young Sheldon and even been met with a market-breaking salary of $600,000 per episode in Seinfeld, his guest appearance wasn’t all too appreciated. In fact, his portrayal was so disappointing that some even deemed it ‘heavily overacted.’

Jason Alexander’s Guest Appearance in Criminal Minds Was a Bit too Much

This dates back to the eighth episode, ‘Masterpiece’, of season 4 of Criminal Minds, which...

The Biggest Criminal Minds Cliffhangers, Ranked
Image
Criminal Minds, like many other crime shows and procedural dramas, know exactly how to get viewers invested in their stories. One of the best tools to keep audiences engaged is a good cliffhanger, but cliffhangers aren't always well-received. For a cliffhanger to work, there has to be real mystery, danger and high stakes. And in the case of Criminal Minds, the best and biggest cliffhangers combine all of these and more to leave audiences on the edge of their seats.

The best Criminal Minds cliffhangers usually involve a member of the Bau in extreme danger or a plot twist that audiences didn't see coming. In other Criminal Minds cliffhangers, the mystery revolves around the personal stories of the Bau members, from whether Emily Prentiss would spy on the Bau team to whether Spencer Reid's father is a killer. Not every Criminal Minds cliffhanger is compelling and intriguing, but when done right,...

10 Reasons This Criminal Minds Season Finale Remains a Fan-Favorite
Image
Criminal Minds is one of the most popular procedural dramas that follows the Behavioral Analysis Unit, or Bau, as they track down serial killers and other dark criminals. Fans know to expect some of the most disturbing and gruesome crimes from any Criminal Minds episode, but the season finales usually take things one step further. Criminal Minds usually features two-part episodes and cliffhangers during the finales, creating a tense atmosphere with an addictive storyline. The two-part episode "To Hell... and Back" is a fan-favorite among most Criminal Minds fans even after 15 seasons and a revival. Viewers also remember this Season 4 finale as one of the most disturbing and shocking due to the different twists and turns during the investigation. Criminal Minds: 10 Most Memorable Hotch Episodes, Ranked
Image
Criminal Minds has introduced several memorable and beloved characters, and former Unit Chief Aaron "Hotch" Hotchner is one of them. While he didn't start as the unit chief of the Behavioural Analysis Unit, Hotch quickly stepped up after Jason Gideon's departure from the FBI. Hotch is known for his no-nonsense approach to his work life, and his personal life was a big focus of Criminal Minds' earlier seasons. Yet, while he appeared hard to befriend at first, Hotch always protected and cared for his team and family, making him a character many fans loved.

Aaron Hotchner's departure from Criminal Minds came during Season 12. And while many fans were heartbroken to learn about Thomas Gibson's exit from the show, it also helped bring another beloved character and Criminal Minds actor back: Paget Brewster's Emily Prentiss. But even though Hotch isn't part of the Bau team anymore, he still left...

Criminal Minds: Why Lola Glaudini's Elle Greenaway Left In Season 2
Image
Lola Glaudini left Criminal Minds in Season 2, rumor has it, due to her unhappiness living in Los Angeles, marking the departure of the character Elle Greenaway. Elle Greenaway's exit from the show was a result of Lola Glaudini's decision to leave the series, although the exact reasons for her departure have not been revealed. Elle Greenaway's departure from Criminal Minds paved the way for the introduction of fan-favorite character Emily Prentiss.

Criminal Minds saw various changes in its core team throughout its run, like Lola Glaudini’s Elle Greenway leaving Criminal Minds in Season 2. Police crime dramas are very popular on TV, and while there have been a variety of successful shows from this branch, one of the most popular ones in the last 20 years is Criminal Minds. Created by Jeff Davis, Criminal Minds premiered on CBS in 2005 and came to an end in 2020 after 15 seasons. However, the Bau returned...

Why Criminal Minds Shuffles its Cast So Frequently
Image
The police procedural drama, Criminal Minds, which centers around a team of FBI profilers as they study the worst criminals the U.S. has to offer, dominated network television on CBS before it moved to the streaming service Paramount +, under its new name Criminal Minds: Evolution. Criminal Minds’ perfect mix of celebrity guest stars, and the show’s characters having strong chemistry kept fans hooked for 16 seasons.

However, all that success didn’t distract viewers from noticing the vast number of cast changes Criminal Minds has endured over the years. While almost all of the changes came as a shock, the reasoning behind some cast members’ departures differed vastly, with some leaving by force, some due to budget cuts, and others even choosing to leave for the sake of their sanity.

With the renewal of Criminal Minds: Evolution for a second season, we thought it would be a great...

‘Criminal Minds’ Alum Lola Glaudini Set for Rollins-Heavy ‘Svu’ Episode
Criminal Minds (2005)
A former Criminal Minds star will appear in an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit that could pave the way for Rollins’ exit from the NBC procedural. According to Give Me My Remote, Lola Glaudini will guest-star in Svu’s November 3 episode, “Controlled Burn.” No character details have been revealed, but NBC has released a brief description of that episode: “Rollins [Kelli Giddish] investigates an assault by a masked man at an underground party. Benson [Mariska Hargitay] uncovers a suspect who may be valuable as a witness.” CinemaBlend notes that Rollins has been throwing herself into her work since being shot on the job — and speculates that the case in “Controlled Burn” may be one that “push[es] her over the edge.” Glaudini may be best known for playing Bau agent Elle Greenaway in the first two seasons of CBS’ Criminal Minds. She left the series in 2006 to return to the East Coast,...

‘State Of Affairs’ Review: Dominic Patten On Katherine Heigl’s TV Return
The return of Katherine Heigl to primetime TV debuts tonight but honestly, State Of Affairs is no triumph, as my video review says. The NBC drama is a dumbed-down mess and a sadly missed opportunity for all concerned.

In SoA, Heigl plays Charleston “Charlie” Tucker, the CIA staffer who briefs the U.S. president every morning on the state of the world. In a role where she should soar were she not so poorly served in every way is Alfre Woodard as the first African-American female Commander In Chief. One major plot contrivance: her dead son was Charlie Tucker’s boyfriend.

Even with Woodard and a prime spot after The Voice, this one will need some presidential intervention, coming after a rocky production path. Writer-director Joe Caranahan, who is executive producer and also directed the pilot, took over the job after veteran showrunner Ed Bernero...

Hulk TV series planned for 2013, Aka Jessica Jones on hold, Punisher show scrapped
Marvel may have reached a cinematic climax with the Avengers, but that's just the conclusion of its current phase of projects.

More films are on the way - notably Iron Man 3, Thor 2 and Captain America 2, not to mention an Avengers sequel already in development - along with some TV shows pulled from the pages of the comics.

ABC president Paul Lee has confirmed a Hulk series is likely to air in 2013, announcing: "The Hulk is in development. It wasn't going to be ready for this season, but we hope it will be ready for next season. We would like to see some Marvel projects move to television."

He hinted there were other possibilities being discussed: "We've got some in development, but none that I can talk about at this point. We're going to continue to develop aggressively."

Crafted for the small screen by Guillermo del Toro, the...
