It's official: Tom Hardy, Helen Mirren, and Pierce Brosnan have officially signed on to star in the Paramount+ series previously titled The Associate. The series will be loosely based on Showtimes hit crime drama series Ray Donovan, which ran on air for seven seasons from 2013 to 2019.

After entering into final negotiations back in October, Variety has reported that Hardy, Mirren, and Brosnan have officially joined the Paramount+ series from Guy Ritchie and Ronan Bennett. The casting update was paired with a bit of news that may disappoint Ray Donovan fans, as the series has been reworked into a standalone project with no connections to the Liev Schreiber-led franchise. The Associate has also been dropped as the series' title, with no new title announced at this time.

American series "Ray Donovan" is set to be remade in India after international production company Locomotive Global Inc., acquired the rights from CBS Studios International.

Created by Ann Biderman, "Ray Donovan", a crime series which premiered on Showtime in 2013, is currently in the production of its seventh season, read a statement.

The clan of Ray Donovan is going to get to stick together thanks to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office.

In a plea deal unveiled in La Superior Court today in Pasadena, Marion “Pooch” Hall won’t be facing a potential six-years behind bars for charges of driving under the influence and endangering his two-year old son last fall.

Instead, the actor who has played half-brother Daryll Donovan on Showtime’s Liev Schreiber-led Hollywood fixer series since its first season saw his child endangerment felony charge reduced to a misdemeanor. That move from prosecutor Deputy D.A. Lisa Tanner resulted in Hall receiving three years probation and having his driver’s license suspended for six months. Add to that and his no-contest plea Tuesday, Hall has to enter into a three-month alcohol abuse seminar and complete a one-year parenting class.

Ray Donovan is not the kind of guy you fire. More than a few of his friends have woken up to a dead body next to them, and even more than that count themselves lucky to wake up at all. Showtime knows this as Ray Donovan season 7 got the go-ahead, will according to Deadline.  

The series, which stars Emmy and Golden Globe Award nominee Liev Schreiber as Ray Donovan, saw its setting change from Los Angeles to New York state in season 6. Season 7 will remain in New York. 

Donovan moved to New York after his life was saved by a Staten Island cop named Mac, played by Domenick Lombardozzi. The former Boston mobster stayed for the pizza, and got friendly with media mogul Sam Winslow (Susan Sarandon), who wants Anita Novak (Lola Glaudini) to be the next mayor.

Ahead of Ray Donovan’s Season 6 finale, Showtime has ordered a seventh season of the hit drama series starring Liev Schreiber and Jon Voight. Production will begin this spring in New York.

As season six progresses, Ray’s (Schreiber) journey in New York has been fueled by his subconscious need for help. Production of the new season is set to begin in spring, 2019 in New York. The season six finale is set to air on Showtime Jan. 13.

Showtime subscribers are getting an early look at Ray Donovan‘s Season 6 premiere. The episode is currently available to subscribers of the premium cabler on Showtime streaming service, Showtime on Demand and Showtime Anytime ahead of its on-air debut October 28.

Season 6 picks up with Ray (Liev Schreiber) rebuilding his life both personally and professionally in New York City. Showtime’s Ray Donovan returns for its sixth season on Sunday, October 28 at 9 pm Et/Pt, and judging by the trailer released today during the network’s TCA presentation, the Liev Schreiber fixer drama has lost none of its punch – or its Susan Sarandon, who is back as a series regular.

“I wanted it all to stop,” narrates Schreiber’s Ray at the start of the trailer, after moving from L.A. to New York City and just before he takes what looks to be an end-it-all plunge into the East River. Within milliseconds, though, he’s rescued by one of New York’s finest, who Ray then tries to knock silly, try being the operative word.

“Ray Donovan” Season 6 has cast Domenick Lombardozzi and Lola Glaudini in season-long guest roles, Variety has learned exclusively.

Lombardozzi will play Sean “Mac” McGrath, a Staten Island cop who develops a strong friendship with Ray (Liev Schreiber). The actor is perhaps best known for his role on the critically-acclaimed HBO seres “The Wire.” He has also appeared in shows like “Rosewood,” “Sneaky Pete,” “Boardwalk Empire,” “Breakout Kings,” and “Entourage.”

Glaudini plays Anita Novak, an attorney who is running for mayor of New York City with the backing of Sam Winslow (Susan Sarandon). Ray aids her campaign by getting her out of a difficult situation. Glaudini has co-starred or recurred on such series as “Agents of Shield,” “Revenge,” “The Expanse,” “Persons Unknown,” “Criminal Minds,” “The Sopranos,” and “NYPD Blue.”

“Ray Donovan” will continue his work as a Hollywood fixer next year. The series starring Liev Schreiber as a tough guy who helps the A-list out of jams earned a season 5 renewal from Showtime, network president and CEO David Nevins announced Thursday at the Television Critics Association TV press tour in Beverly Hills. Ann Biderman was the creator of Ray Donovan who left at the end of Ray Donovan Season 2. She made some stunningly beautiful episodes of the series before she left that focused on family. A flawed family. A very flawed family, but one that was humorous and one for which you could see hope.
