Steve Blame

Steve Blame, an iconic face of MTV Europe, is a renowned podcaster who lives in Germany. He explored his sexual identity during the rampant homophobia in Britain of the '80s, going from denial to acceptance to the fight against bigotry as his generation's only 'out' MTV host. Today, this twice-published author, award-nominated TV format developer, and former Executive Producer of VIVA TV continues his fight through the drama features and pilots he writes that highlight the outsider and normalizes queer life. Steve was a writer on the series Cape Town and has two projects in the Coverfly top 1%. He remains a beloved interviewer, stars from Kurt Cobain to Frank Zappa to Tina Turner and even Gorbachev have queued up to chat with him. Steve's mantra comes from a meeting with the Dalai Lama: "It is the ability to respect and care for yourself and others which will fulfill you".
