Fox may have left acting behind due to his progressing Parkinson’s Disease, but thanks to the release of his new documentary Still, the much loved actor has been able to reunite with with some of his former Spin City co-stars, including Richard Kind. Having left the show back in 2000, any time that Fox is able to come back together with his old colleagues is reason for fans to celebrate on the actor’s social media account, and this was not exception.

The ABC sitcom, which premiered in 1996, followed Fox's Mike Flaherty and the cast of characters who run the New York City mayoral office. Paramount+ on Wednesday unveiled the official trailer for the sixth and final season of The Good Fight, and we have so many questions.

The trailer introduces us to a new man in Diane's life, leaving us to ponder what could be next for all of the characters.

The streamer on Tuesday announced an early renewal for The Good Fight Season 6, just four episodes into The Good Fight Season 5.

New episodes of the 10-episode current season air weekly on Thursdays, exclusively for Paramount+ subscribers.

“The Good Fight” has been renewed for Season 6 at Paramount Plus.

News of the renewal comes about midway through the show’s fifth season. The first four episodes of Season 5 are currently streaming on Paramount Plus, with the fifth episode set to air on July 22.

“The Good Fight” doesn’t reflect reality so much as has one foot just beyond it on either side. Since its debut in 2017, it’s taken slices of headline fodder and put them in a TV context, reconfiguring and prodding at them under the guise of a fascinating legal drama. A few of the faces from the opening season cast photos have gone. The White House intrigue that generated the current underneath so much of its early seasons has since faded somewhat, but not entirely.

Despite those changes (and in the midst of tumult inside the world of the show and the one of the people watching it), “The Good Fight” comes back for Season 5 on Paramount+ with a renewed sense of purpose, as focused as it’s ever been.

The fourth season of “The Good Fight” was cut short because of the Covid-19 pandemic, running for only seven episodes last spring instead of its planned 10. Yet, it ended perfectly, with the final moments of the season lingering on a shot of Jeffrey Epstein’s undiscovered, disembodied brain and penis encased for time immemorial. Below the floating penis was a plaque that said “Bud.”

How could the finale have been better?

But what creators Michelle and Robert King didn’t get to resolve in the abbreviated season was tying up the arc about Memo 618, the mysteriously sinister cabal of corrupt Chicago judges that seemed to be run by people in the highest echelons of power in the United States — and which Diane (Christine Baranski) and Julius (Michael Boatman) were trying to expose.

Paramount Plus released a trailer for the fifth season of “The Good Fight,” which will premiere on June 24.

Original The Good Fight cast members Cush Jumbo and Delroy Lindo, who announced last year that they would not return for Season 5 of the Paramount+ legal drama, will return as guest stars in the season premiere to wrap up their characters’ storylines, Deadline has confirmed.

The fourth season was cut short by three episodes due to the Covid-19 production shutdown, preventing closure on the storylines for both characters.

Jumbo said at the time of her departure that she hoped to return to conclude her character Lucca’s storyline.

“Due to the pandemic forcing us to shut down early we weren’t able to wrap up Lucca’s story fully and so I hope if schedules allow I can return next season to do that,” Jumbo said last year.

Exclusive: Reddick, Boseman & Lockhart has made a new attorney hire. Charmaine Bingwa (Black Box) is joining the cast of CBS All Access/Paramount+’s drama The Good Fight as a series regular in the upcoming fifth season.

She will play Carmen Moyo, a tough, unsentimental, young lawyer whose working-class background allows her to bond with Reddick, Boseman & Lockhart’s most infamous, difficult clients.

“We are thrilled that Charmaine is bringing her enormous talents to The Good Fight ensemble,” co-creators/executive producers Michelle and Robert King said. “The moment that we saw her audition, we knew that we had found our Carmen, and we can’t wait to start writing for her in Season 5.”

Bingwa is expected to fill the void left by the departure of original cast member Cush Jumbo who, along with fellow original star Delroy Lindo, exited as series regulars at the end of Season 4.

“I have had the most amazing time over the last five years working with Robert, Michelle and the crews of both ‘The Good Wife’ and ‘The Good Fight,'” Jumbo said. “I will miss them all so much, but am so excited to explore pastures new.
