Robin Lynn Bonaccorsi
- Stunts
- Actress
Robin Bonaccorsi grew up surrounded by sports, riding mini bikes, and becoming completely comfortable around cars while watching her father and brother constantly wrenching under the hood. She carried her passion for soccer into college, playing through her years at SDSU.
After graduating-and not quite ready for the "real world"-she took a job at Club Med in Haiti and the Bahamas, where she happened to stumble onto a film set. That moment sparked her lifelong interest in the film industry. When she returned home, she waited tables at night and spent her days working for a film producer without pay, learning the business from the ground up. She tried nearly every crew position before discovering the stunt department-a natural fit that brought together her athletic background and her growing interest in filmmaking. Once she made that connection, she pursued stunt work full-time and has been a professional stunt performer and stunt driver ever since.
What keeps her engaged is the constant challenge-physical, mental, and creative. The stunt world runs on trust; performers literally place their safety in each other’s hands. It’s a level of teamwork and accountability that can’t be manufactured in a retreat or workshop.
Over the years, Robin’s work has included fire gags, hitting the ground, fights, and action acting, with much of her experience rooted in stunt driving.
She is very grateful she was able to follow her passion in life.
