Mikhail Boyarskiy is a Soviet and Russian theater and film actor, singer, TV presenter, Honored Artist of the Russian SFSR. Studied piano at the music school at the Conservatory. After school, he entered the Leningrad State Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography (course of L. Makarev), after graduating in 1972, he was auditioned by the director of the Lensovet Theater Igor Vladimirov and was accepted into the troupe. He began his theatrical career by participating in the play 'Crime and Punishment' by Fyodor Dostoevsky, where he played a student.

The actor made his film debut in the films Mosti (1974) and A Golden-coloured Straw Hat (1974), and he became famous after his role as Silva in the film Starshiy syn (1976). One of the actor's best works was Teodoro in Yan Frid's musical film The Dog in the Manger (1978). Boyarskiy's finest hour came in 1979, with the release of Georgi Yungvald-Khilkevich's film D'artagnan and Three Musketeers (1979), in which he played the main role. Thanks to d'Artagnan and the popular songs from the film, the actor's fame reached incredible heights, and he subsequently played this role in the sequels of this film. The actor's work in another series of historical films directed by Svetlana Druzhinina was also popular, Midshipmen, Onwards! (1988) and Vivat, gardemariny! (1991).

In addition to excellent vocal abilities, Boyarskiy has a unique performance style and an inimitable voice timbre. During his creative activity, Mikhail Boyarskiy recorded more than 600 songs, including not only musical numbers from films and plays, but also songs recorded for radio, television shows, vinyl records, and solo CDs.

After the death of Yuriy Nikulin in 1997, he was one of the hosts of the TV show 'White Parrot'.
