TV Review: ABC Hit ‘Castle’ Returns With Mediocre Premiere
Chicago – ABC’s hit show “Castle” has always done cool better than hot. What I mean is that the program works because of the smooth dialogue and sexual tension between its two highly underrated leads — Nathan Fillion & Stana Katic. Now that the lead characters have turned their cool flirting into hot sex, can the show survive the switch in tone? I hate to admit it, but the fifth-season premiere, airing tonight on ABC, gives one reason for concern.

The Revenant, is a zombie comedy written and directed by D. Kerry Prior, the special effects maestro who’s worked on such projects as Air Force One, the Phantasm films, Blob and The Abyss. The film has won Best Director and Audience Awards at Fantastic Fest and Zompire (the Undead Film Festival), and opened to select theaters today (Friday, August 24th).
