    • Joachim Brennecke was born on December 6, 1919 in Berlin, Germany. He was an actor, known for Anschlag auf Baku (1942), Ein toller Tag (1954) and Alle kann ich nicht heiraten (1952). He was married to Ilse Brennecke-Batliner. He died on September 6, 2011 in Vaduz, Liechtenstein.

  • Son of a poet, he made his debut on the stage in 1939 at the Prussian State Theatre. Brennecke remained part of the ensemble cast there until 1945. Was something of a matinee idol during the 1940's and remained popular in leading roles in both the East (Defa) and West German cinema after the war. Retired from acting in 1972.
  • The actor Joachim Brennecke never made the great breakthrough in the film business, still he took part in many movies and had the height in the 50's.
  • He was able to continue his career at the theater after the war. His engagements led him to Munich and Vienna among others.
  • He attended the national acting school of the Prussian state theater and worked successfully on German stages in the following years.
  • During the Second World War he had prominent roles in Nazi propaganda films such as Attack on Baku and 5 June.
