Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards to Honor Keke Palmer, Don Lemon
Image
Keke Palmer, Don Lemon, Fantasia and Vic Mensa will be honored at the upcoming Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards, Jason Lee’s entertainment media brand announced on Tuesday.

The event — now in its fifth year — celebrates those who have made a lasting impact on the culture, with contributions across the music, film, media, political, social and creative industries. Tiffany Haddish will return for the fourth year to host the awards show, set for June 20 at the Beverly Hilton. Babyface will serve as the music director for the ceremony, which will also feature performances by Fantasia and Yolanda Adams.

Palmer will receive the Spirit Award, which according to the organization is “given to someone who embodies the feeling of pride and inspiration through their contributions to the entertainment and social communities. They have made an impact on the world by using their platform to uplift the masses and demonstrate that there is...

Loki Star Jonathan Majors To Receive "Perseverance Award" At Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards
Image
Last December, Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania and Loki star Jonathan Majors was found guilty on one count of intentional assault in the third degree and aggravated harassment in the second degree by a New York jury.

That came after a March 2023 altercation with his then-girlfriend Grace Jabbari. In April, Majors was sentenced to a 52-week, in-person domestic violence intervention program; however, he's continued to maintain his innocence.

Majors and Jabbari met while working on the Marvel Studios movie (she was a movement coach). Between the aforementioned guilty verdict and other allegations of physical and emotional abuse, the actor's Hollywood career stalled as did his aspirations to become one of the world's biggest movie stars.

Between his Marvel work and other critically acclaimed performances, that's the track Majors was on and it's unclear whether he'll ever be able to regain that lost momentum...and whether he should be allowed to do so.

Jonathan Majors to Receive Hollywood Unlocked’s Perseverance Award After Being Found Guilty of Assault
Image
Well, in case we needed more proof cancel culture is fake, convicted assaulter Jonathan Majors was announced to be receiving the Perseverance Award from news outlet Hollywood Unlocked.

The fourth annual ceremony will be hosted by actress Tiffany Haddish, who was at the center of a child abuse lawsuit over a pedophile comedy sketch.

Both Haddish and Majors have alleged that their respective lawsuits have made them lose out on work. In the case of Hollywood Unlocked, though, they’re gaining awards.

Majors was found guilty of reckless assault in the third degree and harassment in December 2023 after abusing ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari. Majors was sentenced to a 52-week, in-person domestic violence intervention program.

Majors was arrested on March 25, 2023 on charges of assault, strangulation, and harassment. The trial was delayed until November. Jabbari, 33, was hospitalized then with “minor injuries to her head and neck.”

Later accusations surfaced of toxic on-set behavior during “Magazine Dreams,...

Jonathan Majors to Receive Perseverance Award at Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards
Image
The fourth annual Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards has announced its honorees and will be presenting Jonathan Majors with the perseverance award at its Los Angeles event on June 21.

The award, per the organization, is “given to an individual who has shown that no matter what adversity they face, they will continue to aspire to inspire.” It comes after Majors was convicted of reckless assault in the third degree and harassment in December. He was sentenced to a 52-week, in-person domestic violence intervention program in April.

Majors has made a handful of public appearances in the past few months — walking red carpets alongside girlfriend Meagan Good — but an awards acceptance speech will likely see the actor making rare public comments about the past year, with charges stemming from an incident with ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari.

In addition to Majors, the event will recognize designer Christian Louboutin with the innovator award, Cardi B...
