Howard Matz told lawyers for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and Dick Clark Productions on the final day of testimony in their trial over who owns the TV rights to the Golden Globes. “Before Friday,” Matz told the courtroom Tuesday afternoon, “speak with your respective clients to come to their senses and come to a settlement.” Otherwise, he said, with all the likely appeals this could still be going on by the time the next Golden Globes comes around. Susan Brooks has joined  FishBowl Worldwide Media as general counsel and executive VP of business affairs.

She previously was worldwide head of television business affairs at the William Morris Agency.She also was one of the founders of Wilshire Court Productions.

Wma's Susan Brooks Joins FishBowl
Former Wma TV business affairs head Susan Brooks has joined Vin Di Bona and Bruce Gersh’s recently launched production company FishBowl Worldwide Media. She will serve as general counsel and Evp business affairs, reporting to Gersh. Brooks, a respected business affairs executive, served as worldwide head of television business affairs at Wma until she was laid off in the wake of the agency’s merger with Endeavor last year.
