Many specialized segments of our society don't reflect the population's full range of racial and ethnic diversity, but the dance world is certainly not one of them. Despite its rarefied nature, the art of dance attracts a variegated roster of performers and choreographers, many of whom also reflect diverse cultural sensibilities in their movement styles and musical choices.
