2023's The Killer is the latest ice-cold thriller by director David Fincher. Over his 30-year career, Fincher has made a name for himself as an obsessive and precise creator of thrilling genre pieces. His approach of doing dozens and dozens of takes to find exactly what he's looking for has led to some describing his style as cold and robotic.

While it is true that this approach leads to his films lacking emotional warmth, it also gives them a stone-cold edge that few can replicate. As Fincher has worked with many different writers throughout the years, many of his characters share a sharp and intelligent wit, and most of his films can be characterized by an unfeeling perpetual danger. The dialogue these characters deliver can be equally chilling, cutting deep and precise, staying with a viewer long after the credits have rolled.

Apparently a script that has been floating around Hollywood since 1997 and only now, I’m guessing with the availability of CGI technology, coming to the screen, Gemini Man tells the story of top-notch assassin Henry Brogan. One of the worlds, if not The, premier assassin. Only Henry wants to retire and we all know that government agencies can;’t just let great assets like Henry retire. Ever. Well they can if their dead… And that what Clive Owen’s Clay Verris wants to do. Kill Henry. Only to kill an assassin as good as Brogan you need an equally good assassin. And what better than a clone?

Darren Lemke sold his screenplay for “Gemini Man” back in 1997, and it has been cropping up in articles about great unmade films ever since. Unfortunately, the “Gemini Man” that Ang Lee has finally made has such risible dialogue, such perfunctory characterization, and such rudimentary international-espionage plotting that viewers will soon stop asking why it took so long to go into production, and start asking why it went into production at all.

Not that Lemke should shoulder all of the blame: Over the last two decades, his sci-fi story of a government assassin being hunted by his own younger clone has been revised extensively, and David Benioff and Billy Ray are also credited as screenwriters. Whatever adjustments were made to the screenplay along the way, they can’t have been improvements.

Ang Lee's new sci-fi film has a massive cadre of screenwriters attached to it including Billy Ray, Jonathan Hensleigh, Andrew Niccol (Gattaca), Stephen J. Rivele, Christopher Wilkinson, and David Benioff (Game of Thrones). It is from an original concept created by Darren Lemke.

The thriller stars Will Smith, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Clive Owen, Benedict Wong, Linda Emond, Ralph Brown, and Theodora Miranne.

Broadway’s Brian d’Arcy James will join the cast of Jez Butterworth’s The Ferryman next month, leading a largely new company of replacement players in the primary adult roles beginning Tuesday, Feb. 19.

D’Arcy James will take over the role of Quinn Carney from departing cast member Paddy Considine. The actor is one of 15 new cast members announced by producers Sonia Friedman Productions and Neal Street Productions today.

All of the announced newcomers begin next month except for Orange is the New Black‘s Blair Brown, who takes over the role of Aunt Maggie Far Away from Fionnula Flanagan on Tuesday, April 16.

Dave Bautista’s solo action career continues its hot streak (see also: Bushwick) with Final Score, a ludicrous-but-fun Die Hard homage that sees the big man taking on terrorists at a football match in London. The film might have its flaws, but it delivers enough action-packed entertainment to ensure Bautista won’t be facing relegation anytime soon.

As established – albeit to outlandish extremes – in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, Bautista’s screen persona is essentially strong-but-sensitive, and he sticks closely to that template for his portrayal of Us military specialist Michael Knox, who arrives in London to visit the widow (Lucy Gaskell) and teenage daughter of his fellow soldier and best friend, who’s recently been killed in action.

Last night, Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Bautista was in London town for the premiere of his brand new movie Final Score which hits both cinemas and Sky Cinema 7th September.

Joining Dave on the red (football pitch) carpet were co-stars Amit Shah, Lara Peake, Martyn Ford and Director Scott Mann who previously worked with Bautista on their movie Heist.

During the interviews, the cast talk about what it was like working with such a wonderful man as Dave Bautista while Dave talks about working with 007 himself Pearce Brosnan in the movie.

Saban Films has released the full trailer for their upcoming action movie Final Score. The film stars Dave Bautista, Pierce Brosnan, and Ray Stevenson. It definitely looks like a badass action thriller worth checking out!

The movie is set in a football stadium in England. When a group of heavily armed criminals takes control of the stadium while it's packed with 35,000 spectators, ex-soldier Michael Knox (Bautista) is forced to use skills from his military background and everything at his disposal to save the hostages, including the life of a fallen comrade's daughter.

The film was directed by Scott Mann and written by Jonathan Frank, and brothers David T. Lynch and Keith Lynch.

The movie also stars Lucy Gaskell, Julian Cheung, Lara Peake, Alexandra Dinu, and Ralph Brown.

The film will hit theaters and on September 14th, 2018.

The movie kind of reminds me of the 90s Jean-Claude Van Damme film Sudden Death where a group of terrorists are holding the Vice President and others hostage during the seventh game of the NHL Stanley Cup finals.

Final Score looks like it could be a fun action flick and I'll most likely end up watching it, because I like action movies! It also stars Pierce Brosnan, Ray Stevenson, Martyn Ford, Ralph Brown, Alexandra Dinu, and Lucy Gaskell.
