Even Brad Pitt couldn’t outpace the MCU. F1: The Movie, Pitt’s much-hyped racing flick, zoomed onto the scene with a whopping 83% on Rotten Tomatoes, but it still couldn’t catch up to Rush, the 2013 Formula 1 biopic starring MCU alum Chris Hemsworth.

Rush holds a strong lead at 88%, proving that you don’t need modern CGI or A-list producers when you’ve got great storytelling and, most importantly, Hemsworth’s golden mane. However, before calling the race, it’s essential to remember that F1 is still in its early stages.

Rush has had over a decade to build its legacy, earning critical praise for its portrayal of the rivalry between James Hunt and Niki Lauda, as well as its balance of adrenaline and emotional depth. The strong performances and direction have helped it stand the test of time.

While Rush currently leads in the Rotten Tomatoes race, F1 is only just finding its pace.

Montblanc and acclaimed director Wes Anderson have collaborated on a unique campaign that celebrates imagination, the art of writing, and modern luxury. Titled “Let’s Write”, the campaign merges Anderson’s signature visual style with Montblanc’s heritage of craftsmanship to pay tribute to the power of words.

Set in a mountaintop library, the short film follows three eccentric alpinists—played by Wes Anderson, Michael Cera, and Rupert Friend—on a whimsical journey exploring the mysteries of writing, introspection, and imaginative travel.

Throughout the narrative, viewers are transported from Venetian canals to Egyptian pyramids aboard a theatrical train named Voyage of Panorama, where each scene evokes both adventure and quiet reflection.

Rather than conventional product placement, Montblanc’s creations are seamlessly woven into Anderson’s cinematic world.

Ruben Ostlund, Maura Delpero and Juho Kuosmanen are among the international directors who will attend the Croatian town of Slano for the second edition of Slano Film Days, running from June 17-21.

Presented in partnership with Bosnia & Herzegovina’s Sarajevo Film Festival, Slano Film Days aims to connect 14 emerging filmmakers from the region with established international professionals, through a programme of talks and screenings.

The participants consist of five directors, six actors, and three cinematographers.

The event was launched last year by Mirsad Purivatra, founder and former director of Sarajevo Film Festival.
