Franziska Buch studied Philosophy and German Literature in Germany and Italy before she enrolled at the Film Academy Munich to graduate in Film Directing. She has been working as writer and director since 1992, and teaches as professor for Writing and Creative Producing at the renowned Filmakademie Ludwigsburg. Her works received numerous awards including the Max-Ophüls-Prize and the Bavarian Film Award.
