Anthony Buckeridge was born on 20 June 1912 in Mill Hill, Middlesex, England, UK. He was a writer and actor, known for Jennings (1966), Stompa & Co (1962) and Jackanory (1965). He was married to Eileen Selby and Sylvia Brown. He died on 28 June 2004 in Lewes, East Sussex, England, UK.

Writer of various &#39;Jennings at School&#39; books, very popular in the UK in
the 50s and 60s.

He was awarded the O.B.E. (Officer of the Order of the the British Empire) in the 2003 Queen&#39;s New Year&#39;s Eve Honours List for his services to literature.
