Australian director Chris Sun is known for his violent, frequently quite viciously so, genre films such as Charlie’s Farm and Boar. The Possessed however marks his first attempt at a supernatural film, and it’s based on the allegedly true exploits of Mark Gardener who claims to be able to perform exorcisms, he calls them “clearings”, and free people from demonic possession. Of course, I don’t believe Gardener’s claims, but hopefully, it’s at least an entertaining bit of bullshit.

Legendary horror director Chris Sun has unleashed frightening new stills of his new film The Possessed. The six images are the ultimate showcase of the practical effects Chris is known for and provided a first look at the stellar all-Australia cast.

The Possessed is an intense horror that follows Jacob Chandler (John Jarratt) who is just an ordinary man with an extraordinary gift. Jacob is an accidental exorcist and together with his nephew Liam (Lincoln Lewis), they have forged a career clearing demons from the bodies of their clients. Of late, something has changed and demonic possessions are on the rise, and in order to keep those he loves safe from the wrath of unspeakable evil, Jacob must fight for them to survive.

Director Chris Sun has released a couple of new trailers for his monstrous feature Boar. The first trailer is for international audiences; it can be found here: A Boar Int. Trailer. Australia’s premier genre film festival, Monster Fest returns for its seventh year this November 23rd to 26th at Melbourne’s Lido Cinemas with a mix of World, Australian & Victorian Premieres! The 2017 chapter of Monster Fest, takes on a very Australian flavour – the first wave announcement includes not one, but Six(!) brand new Australian feature films, most of which will be enjoying their World Premieres at the festival.

Then, real life signs of it begin to turn up, at a camp site. The local townsfolk look completely unprepared for what is in store for them. Neighbours star Stefan Dennis has revealed that he would like Simone Buchanan to return to the soap as lawyer Sam Fitzgerald. The actor, who plays Paul Robinson, admitted that he is trying to persuade the writers to bring her back on a permanent basis as a sidekick to his character. Simone Buchanan has admitted that she would love her Neighbours character Sam Fitzgerald to be Paul Robinson's next love interest. On British screens, Sam and Paul (Stefan Dennis) are currently working together to make sure that Steph Scully (Carla Bonner) is punished for the road accident which caused Ringo's death. Simone Buchanan has admitted that she would not rule out another Neighbours return for her character Sam Fitzgerald. The actress's alter ego has recently been causing more trouble on Australian screens in a four-week guest stint, which starts airing in the UK early next month. Simone Buchanan has revealed that she struggled to lose weight after having her second son. The 42-year-old Australian actress, who gave birth to baby son Remy earlier this year, gained 23kg during her pregnancy.
