American Idol Judge Carrie Underwood Returns to Natural Hair Color
Image
An American Idolstar has revealed a stunning new look amid uncertainty about the judges returning for season 24. American Idol season 23 welcomed back host Ryan Seacrest, along with judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan. In addition, season 4 winner Carrie Underwood joined the judging panel when Katy Perry left the show after seven seasons in order to focus on her own music career.

Although American Idol season 23 was a success, there still hasn't been an announcement about whether the judges are returning for season 24. In fact, Carrie's lukewarm response to the question after the finale in May had some wondering if she'd be leaving her role as a judge after just one season.

In an Instagram post, Carrie shared two photographs and a video of herself with a darker blonde hair color, and revealed that it was her natural hue. In the caption of the post she wrote, "Well, the last time...

Family Matters And Full House's Crossover Was Sitcom Gold
Image
Crossover events have been a common staple in television for decades, giving viewers an opportunity to witness some of their favorite characters from different shows interacting with each other, often to hilarious effect. You can read /Film's selection of the best crossover episodes here. Usually, crossovers are often a chance for networks to promote brand synergy, and in some cases me be a ploy to get a boost in ratings. However, when handled right, with consistent writing for the characters, they can showcase the best elements of both series' trademarks.

ABC launched its Tgif primetime programming block in 1989, in which family sitcoms would air and lead into the news show "20/20." Two of the most beloved series from that programming block were "Full House" and "Family Matters." The former series first hit the air in 1987, while the latter series premiered in 1989. How Much Does The Home From Full House Cost?
Image
From 1987 to 1995, ABC's family sitcom "Full House" entertained audiences with its exploration into the lives of the Tanner family household led by widower Danny Tanner (Bob Saget). Danny raised his three daughters, D.J. (Candace Cameron Bure), Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin), and Michelle (Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen) with the help of his brother-in-law Jesse Katsopolis (John Stamos) and best friend Joey Gladstone (Dave Coulier) in his titular full house in San Francisco, CA. Throughout the series' eight-year run, the Tanner household grows larger, as does the property value of the house itself.

Over 20 years after the original series' conclusion, Netflix's "Fuller House" caught viewers up with the Tanners' lives in the 21st century, with the now-grown-up widowed mother D.J. raising her three sons with the help of her sister Stephanie and best friend Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber). Premise sure sounds familiar, huh? Well, given the timeless nature of family-related sitcoms,...

Devout Christian Candace Cameron Bure Says Horror Movies Invite ‘The Devil’ Into Her Home, Fears They Could ‘Open A Portal’
Image
Candace Cameron Bure is concerned that horror movies may open a “portal” to a demonic world in her home.

The devout Christian and Full House star has stated that she doesn’t like it when her family watches horror movies together, out of fear that the screen will invite demonic entities into her home.

“In our house as a mom, I feel like you guys make fun of me when I talk about — they make fun of me all the time —,” she told Texas-based pastor Jonathan Pokluda in his podcast, referring to her husband, Valeri Bure, and her three kids, including her son Lev, daughter Natasha and son Maksim.

“But particularly when I’m serious about a spiritual thing happening, and then they’re rolling their eyes at me. Like the portal,” she began to explain. “Like if you’re watching this, or you’re playing this video game, or whatever,...

Are Horror Movies Really a Gateway to Hell?
Image
Could watching horror movies open a genuine gateway to demonic influence? It’s a notion that might seem laughable to some, but actress Candace Cameron Bure is entirely serious.

The Full House star made headlines recently by arguing that horror films do more than just frighten audiences – they can open spiritual doorways into viewers’ homes. “If you’re watching [horror], that’s a portal that could let stuff inside,” Bure stated on a recent episode of her podcast, further explaining, “I don’t even want someone watching a scary movie in our house on the TV, because to me, that’s just a portal.”

This isn’t entirely new territory. The concept of films carrying spiritual threats or curses has been around for decades. During the filming of classics like The Exorcist and Poltergeist, strange and tragic events befell cast and crew members, fueling speculation of a supernatural curse around these films.

Image
Full Housestar Candace Cameron Bure, who plays D.J. Tanner in the show and the sequel Fuller House, has recently spoken out about the sitcom’s huge success. Heather Langenkamp in A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)
Candace Cameron Bure suggests horror movies are “incredibly demonic” and can open a portal
Heather Langenkamp in A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)
We all had those scary moments when we were kids. Whether it was the monster under the bed or the fact that we just watched A Nightmare on Elm Street so of course we were next on Freddy Krueger’s list. But that tends to fade away with maturity and plain logic. But for actress Candace Cameron Bure, even dabbling in horror movies will unleash sheer hell into your house, full or not.

Candace Cameron Bure recently said on her namesake podcast (via THR) that she takes the duty of protecting her family to the extreme. Case in point: the portal. Ok, so what constitutes a “portal” exactly? “Like if you’re watching this, or you’re playing this video game, or whatever, that’s a portal that could let stuff inside our home. Candace Cameron Bure Does Not Watch Horror Movies Because She Believes They Open a Demonic ‘Portal’
Image
Former “Full House” star Candace Cameron Bure has revealed that she does not watch horror movies because she feels like they expose her, her family and her home to something “demonic.”

The actress revealed as much during this week’s episode of “The Candace Cameron Bure Podcast,” aptly titled, “Is Watching a Scary Movie Bad for Me or is That Just Fear Talking?” Joined by her son, Lev, and Pastor Jonathan Pokluda, Bure explained why she does not like to have horror movies playing in her home.

“You’re opening up a portal. Like, if you’re watching this, or you’re playing this video game, or whatever, that’s a portal that could let stuff inside our home,” she said. “I don’t even want someone watching a scary movie in our house on the TV, because to me, that’s just a portal.”

Scary Movies Are Portals for Demonic Energy, According to Candace Cameron Bure
Image
I completely understand when someone says they don’t enjoy horror movies. I do, but I’m also fully aware that for plenty of people, seeing a monster cleave somebody in twain doesn’t lead to a dopamine release. If someone’s not a fan, that’s their wave, and I’m not going to act like it’s unusual. What am I going to do, call them a ‘fraidy-cat? I’m 34. I don’t have enough cartilage left in my joints to use phrases like that.

Unlike other genres, the only reasoning you really ever need to give for not liking scary movies is, well, that they scare you and you don’t like it. Which is why it’s such a strange, unforced error for the actor Candace Cameron Bure to feel the need to bring borderline psychosis into the discussion of why they’re not screening in her home.

Full Housewas so beloved that the sitcom, which ran for eight seasons from 1987 to 1995, spawned a spinoff in Netflix’s Fuller House. The latter ran for an additional five seasons and brought back nearly all the original cast, including Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber, who now host a rewatch podcast called How Rude, Tanneritos!.

Sweetin played middle daughter Stephanie Tanner in Full House, while Barber was the annoying neighbor, Kimmy Gibbler, who was also best friends with Candace Cameron Bure’s D.J. Tanner. This Made-for-Television Remake Is a Hidden Horror Gem, and Now It’s Streaming For Free

Kids are kind of dumb. Remember when you and your friends thought it was funny to prank call the police, not realizing they could see the number and easily call you back? That’s mostly innocuous, but it was also a rite of passage. I’m not sure the adolescent phase of prank calling still endures or not, but since the advent of home telephones, kids and teens loved picking up the phone and pranking friends and foes alike. The entire Scream franchise is basically the most terrifying prank call in history (except it’s no joke).

The phenomenon wasn’t just limited to the 1980s and 1990s, either. Way back in 1965, William Castle directed Joan Crawford in I Saw What You Did, a cheap yet fantastic thriller about two young girls pranking random numbers, calling and saying, “I saw what you did, and I know who you are.” Unfortunately,...

This included a number of seasons produced under strict Covid protocols with the music competition guessing game, which has aired one season at the start of the year and one in the fall, never missing a run throughout the pandemic.

However, Deadline understands that this is about to change with the show eschewing its traditional fall 2025 season and planning to return for Season 14 in January.

The news comes as the Season 13 finale is set to air tonight. This season has featured the likes of Cedric the Entertainer, Oscar De La Hoya, Aubrey O’Day, Scheana Shay, Flavor Flav, James Van Der Beek, Candace Cameron Bure, Method Man, Erika Jayne, Matthew Lawrence and Edwin McCain. Four celebrities have yet to be unmasked – those performing as Boogie Woogie, Coral, Mad Scientist Monster and Pearl.

"There was a Statue of Liberty clue and that made me think Broadway," adds Rita Ora. "That brought me to Darren Criss and Glee."

‘Full House’ Star Andrea Barber Recalls “Gross” Question About Family Sitcom
Image
A number of Full House viewers likely had crushes on John Stamos, who played Uncle Jesse on the ABC sitcom, but his young co-stars didn’t see him that way.

Speaking on the How Rude, Tanneritos! podcast alongside co-star Jodie Sweetin, Andrea Barber, who played next door neighbor and D.J. Tanner’s (Candace Cameron Bure) best friend Kimmy Gibbler, recalled being asked in interviews if she “ever” had “a crush” on Stamos, calling it “a gross question.”

“No,” she added, going on to say of Stamos and fellow co-star Dave Coulier, who played family friend Joey Gladstone, who also helped raise the Tanner girls alongside widowed dad Danny (Bob Saget), “they’re like our older brothers, and we do not think of them that way.”

Sweetin agreed, adding, “Not even older brothers. They’re like my uncles.”

The moment came up during a game of “Would You Rather” on a...

The Latest Masked Singer Elimination Included A 90's Heartthrob You Might Recognize
Image
The great thing about The Masked Singer is that you never know who will be on the show, and Season 13 included a '90s heartthrob. Earlier this week, the identity of Paparazzo was revealed after the judges asked a key question: had he been on a hit TV show before?

Out of the four judges, only Jenny McCarthy correctly identified Paparazzo as Matthew Lawrence. However, he had given some great clues on the night about his identity, including honoring his longtime girlfriend, TLC's Rozonda Thomas, better known as Chilli, with the song "Unpretty."

What Did Matthew Lawrence Say About His Experience On The Masked Singer? Via: Faye's Vision/Cover Images

Matthew Lawrence has had an impressive acting career, including appearances in Boy Meets World and Mrs. Doubtfire; however, many people may not be aware that he is also a talented singer. "If you had told me that this little...

‘The Masked Singer’s’ Matthew Lawrence on paying tribute to Robin Williams, asking famous girlfriend’s permission to sing ‘Unpretty’
Image
Matthew Lawrence was the first celebrity from the Lucky 6 to be unmasked on The Masked Singer. The actor and podcast host was voted out Wednesday after performing "Unpretty" by TLC on the Fox reality-competition series.

"It felt like I was a hermit crab without its shell," Lawrence tells Gold Derby about removing the mask (watch the video interview above). "It was not the most enjoyable part of the experience. I have stage fright when it comes to singing in front of crowds so this was getting over a fear for me. The saving grace was that I was Paparazzo — a character — that felt familiar to me as an actor. That's what grounded me and kept me from losing my nerve. I didn't want to be me out there."

In Paparazzo's second clue package this season, many of the hints were about Lawrence's role in Mrs. Doubtfire opposite the late Robin Williams.

‘The Masked Singer’ Reveals Identity of Paparazzo: Here Is the Celebrity Under the Costume
Image
Spoiler Alert: Details follow for Season 13, Episode 10 of “The Masked Singer,” “Lucky 6,” which aired April 16 on Fox.

Freeze frame: “Boy Meets World” and “Brotherly Love” star Matthew Lawrence was the latest celebrity to be revealed on Season 13 of Fox’s “The Masked Singer.” On the show’s Wednesday episode, Lawrence was unmasked as Paparazzo after performing “Unpretty,” by TLC.

“Man, if you had told me that this little guy would still be standing here, I’d say you’re crazy. Because I’ve never sang before,” Lawrence said as Paparazzo in his pre-tape package. “And — big spoiler alert — the next song is the biggest hint to my identity yet. So listen closely.”

That’s referring to Lawrence’s relationship with TLC member Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas.

For Paparazzo, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg got it right with Matthew Lawrence. Robin Thicke guessed Frankie Muniz. Rita Ora named Jason Ritter. Ken Jeong went with Ben Savage.

Spoiler Alert: Details follow for Season 13, Episode 9 of “The Masked Singer,” “Decades Night,” which aired April 9 on Fox.

“The Masked Singer” is a very different kind of reality show from “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” But for Erika Jayne — unmasked as Yorkie on Wednesday night’s edition of Fox’s reality singing competition — it took “zero convincing” to join.

“Why wouldn’t I?” she told Variety. “Did you see my costume? It was absolutely adorable. ‘The Masked Singer’ is a top-notch production. It was probably one of the best times I’ve ever had performing and doing a show like this. Why not take this great opportunity?”

For Yorkie, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg got it right with Erika Jayne. Robin Thicke guessed Lori Loughlin. Rita Ora named Paris Hilton. Ken Jeong went with Kyle Richards.
