Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, and Adam Levine will occupy the red chairs for season 29 of NBC’s The Voice. Premiering in spring 2026, season 29 is described by the network as an “eventized” season with the tagline “Battle of Champions.”

The popular singing competition is getting a makeover for its 29th season, with new twists to go along with the first time the coaching panel’s made up of only The Voice winners. Each coach will begin the competition with 10 artists per team, and NBC released the following details on what fans can expect from spring 2026 season:

Blinds: Coaches compete against each other in the “Triple Turn Competition” (vying for the most three-chair turns) with the winner gaining a special advantage in the next round. Battles: The coach with the most three-chair turns automatically earns a “Super Steal” for the Battles.

Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Adam Levine are reuniting on The Voice for the first time since Season 16. The trio are set to star as coaches for Season 29 of the NBC show, which will launch in the spring.

This comes as Michael Bublé, Snoop Dogg, Niall Horan and Reba McEntire have been set as coaches for Season 28, which comes out in the fall.

Both seasons are being shot at the same time, hence the early announcement for coaches on Season 29 ahead of Season 28 debuting.

The network also revealed that the show will include various format revamps for Season 29, which is being dubbed The Voice: Battle of Champions.

NBC said Season 29 will be “infused with fast-paced, competitive elements” inspired by NBC Sports, which has Super Bowl Lx, the Milan Cortina Olympic Winter Games and the NBA All-Star Game on the docket in February.

“The Voice” is officially set to return for Season 29 at NBC with a format revamp and the coaching lineup set.

Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, and Adam Levine will all return as coaches for Season 29, which will air in spring 2026. Clarkson will film “The Voice” and “The Kelly Clarkson Show” concurrently.

NBC is calling Season 29 “The Voice: Battle of Champions,” named due to the fact the coaching panel is comprised entirely of “Voice” winners. Coaches will enter the competition with 10 artists per team. The new season will feature four rounds, each featuring a “Voice” first. Those are:

That’s right, all the way back in 1994, Charlie Parsons created a survival reality show called Castaway and pitched it to the BBC. However, they rejected the idea, so Parsons took the idea to Sweden, where it aired as Expedition Robinson in 1997 and became an immediate hit. When American producer Mark Burnett watched the same, he thought it needed better production and more focus on human drama.

The Voice is returning to NBC in the fall but it will look a little different both in terms of coaches and timeslot.

The music competition series is bringing back Snoop Dogg, Niall Horan and Reba McEntire as coaches with Adam Levine, John Legend and Kelsea Ballerini making way for the next installment of the show.

The trio will join Michael Bublé, who has featured on Seasons 26 and 27.

Snoop Dogg was a coach in Season 26 with McEntire previously doing a three season run between Seasons 24 and 26. One Direction star Horan previously served as a coach in Seasons 23 and 24.

The Voice rotates its coaches to keep the reality TV competition hosted by Carson Daly fresh, airing twice a year.

The musical chairs come as The Voice will have a slightly different pattern in terms of scheduling for its fall season.

Nine-time Grammy Award winner Sheryl Crow is returning to NBC’s The Voice and two-time Grammy winner LeAnn Rimes is making her The Voice mega mentor debut later this month. Amazon’s streaming television platform Prime Video will offer the early back catalog of the hit NBC reality series “The Apprentice,” starting this week.

The show will stream via Prime Video in the United States only, with episodes from Season 1 available to watch this week. New seasons will be added in the coming weeks — one complete season will debut every Monday — through April 27.

Only seven of the show’s 15 seasons will be available on Prime Video, the company affirmed on Monday. Previously, all episodes of The Apprentice were available on Tubi, which offered the show in 2019, one year before the free service was acquired by Fox Corporation.

Amazon’s Prime Video has begun streaming The Apprentice, the reality show that arguably helped propel Donald Trump toward the presidency.

The streamer will roll out seven seasons of the show — all of the non-celebrity versions featuring Trump — on Mondays beginning March 10. The Apprentice will be available to Prime Video subscribers in the United States only.
