Harrison Ford Played Two Completely Different Characters On Gunsmoke
Image
Whether he's piloting the Millennium Falcon, cracking a whip, or telling Gary Oldman to get off his plane, Harrison Ford is one of our great movie stars. He's possessed with a sly charisma that can't be matched, even when he's playing a grump. In his golden years, Ford's grown very selective about his big screen roles, often relegating himself to installments in franchises like "Star Wars," "Indiana Jones," "Blade Runner," and (with "Captain America: Brave New World") the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He loves money, and I can't blame him.

For all of the riskier roles Ford has avoided in the world of film, his late career pivot to television, however, has been a welcome surprise. He's hilarious in the Apple TV+ comedy series "Shrinking" as Paul, a senior therapist who also acts as the mentor figure for just about every character on the show. On the other side of that...

Is Bill Burr the Lost Member of Smashing Pumpkins?

Note to Billy Corgan’s stepmother: Not all bald guys are related.

“Most of my friends don’t even know this story,” the Smashing Pumpkins frontman revealed on a recent Howie Mandel Does Stuff podcast episode. “About 10 years ago, one of my brothers was having a birthday party, and my stepmother was there, who was obviously married to my father. And my stepmother said to me, ‘Do you know who Bill Burr is?’”

Corgan had no idea, which is understandable — 10 years ago, Burr had reached comedy-club headliner status, doing sets on Jimmy Fallon and David Letterman, but he was not yet a household name. “I didn’t know he was a comedian or anything,” Corgan confessed. “He could have been the guy down the street.”

Back at the party, Corgan looked up Burr on his phone and noticed a passing resemblance to his dad. “Why are you asking?” Corgan wanted to know.

Billy Corgan Says Bill Burr Could Be His Half-Brother
Image
Ever the storyteller, Smashing Pumpkins singer/guitarist Billy Corgan recently explained why he and comedian Bill Burr could have more in common than their passing resemblance and shared first name. During a recent appearance on Howie Mandel’s Howie Mandel Does Stuff podcast, Corgan revealed that there’s a chance they could be half-brothers.

In what was either a tongue-in-cheek bit or a funny coincidence, Mandel realized his team put up a photo of Burr behind him. After acknowledging lookalike memes he’s seen online, Corgan shared a story about their possible familial connection.

“Most of my friends don’t even know this story,” Corgan began. “About 10 years ago, one of my brothers was having a birthday party, and my stepmother was there, who was obviously married to my father. And my stepmother said to me, ‘Do you know who Bill Burr is?’ Now at that point, I had never...
