William Butler is a seasoned filmmaker with over thirty years of experience in the film and television industry. His dynamic career has established a global presence, with award-winning projects filmed across Spain, Italy, Romania, Africa, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United States. He began his journey writing comedy for the iconic National Lampoon brand and performed with celebrated live comedy troupes such as Theatersports, National Lampoon Live, and Comedy Clinic.
Most recently, Butler served as a writer for Season 4 of Greg Nicotero's Creepshow on Shudder. He is also the writer and director of the original horror-comedy Baby Oopsie and its two sequels, which have garnered high ratings across all major platforms. His horror credentials also include Madhouse for Lakeshore Entertainment and Furnace for Lionsgate.
Expanding into action-comedy, Butler just wrapped directing Special Op Rent-a-Cop, starring Billy Zane and Michael Jai White.
In addition to his work in film, Butler has served as a contract writer, producer, and director for Fox Family Channel, Disney Channel, and Full Moon Features.
