Paul Hyett’s debut movie The Seasoning House blew me away. With its hard-hitting story and an incredible performance from Rosie Day, It was one of my favourite films of 2013. He followed it up with something completely different, the highly entertaining werewolf movie set on a train Howl, so I was now very much looking forward to checking out Peripheral.

Peripheral is once again, completely different from the directors other movies. This time more sci-fi but still entering into body horror territory. We follow Bobbi Johnson whose debut novel has become a huge hit but also sparked riots across England. The Dumping Ground returns for second series
Two new faces join Cbbc's The Dumping Ground, the sequel to the multi-award-winning Cbbc dramas The Story Of Tracy Beaker and Tracy Beaker Returns, as it returns for a second series this January.

16 year old Kasey McKellar (represented by D&B Management) plays newcomer Bailey. Kasey recently appeared in Top Boy 2 playing R'Marni. And Stacy Liu joins the cast as new carer May Li.

The new series will consist of 13 new 30-minute episodes plus 10 exclusive three-minute webisodes which will run parallel to the stories broadcast on the channel.

The webisodes will feature an exclusive storyline which will run online for 10 weeks, culminating in a cliff-hanger which will be resolved in the last episode of the TV broadcast as both the online and TV stories merge for the series finale.

Filming starts on The Dumping Ground
Cbbc returns to The Dumping Ground care home for children but this time without its long-standing star Dani Harmer as Tracy Beaker. The new drama will be continue to be based in Elm Tree House, the care home from Dame Jacqueline Wilson's famous books.

Life continues at The Dumping Ground in a new spin-off series for many of the regular cast from Tracy Beaker Returns, who are back in Newcastle filming the new series from today.

Amongst those returning are Jessie Williams as Lily, Kia Pegg (from the Nottingham Television Workshop) as Jody,  Jessica Revell (represented by Robert Kelly Associates) as Elektra, Joe Maw (represented by Pha) as Johnny, Amy Leigh Hickman (represented by Mark Jermin Management), Mia Sasha Mckenna-Bruce (represented by Robert Kelly Associates) as Tee,  Miles Butler-Houghton (represented by Robert Kelly Associates) as Tyler, Daniel Pearson (represented by Kreative Talent) as Rick, and Noah Marullo (Sra Agency as Gus.

'Hell's Pavement' Lauded at Beloit Festival
Oopic films' 'Hells Pavement' has walked away from the 2010 Beloit International Film Festival with the Josh Burton Award of Excellence following its Us premiere at the event.'Hell's Pavment' stars Irish actors Pauline McGlynn (Father Ted) and Conor Byrne (The Story of Tracey Beaker). The 90 minute film is self financed and based on the true life experiences of Galway family, the Gormans, and is helmed by Keith Gorman in his directorial debut. Keith's mother is herself a foster mother and set up an independent fostering organisation with Keith in the UK that became the country's number one fostering organisation.

Tracy Beaker will be back in the new Cbbc drama series Tracy Beaker Returns (13 episodes), once again featuring Dani Harmer in the title role. The series is set to premiere in early 2010. Picking up five year after the last series, Tracy is now a young adult and living with her foster Mom, Cam, and writing a book about her life. Following a series of disasters, Tracy must find a job and winds up working at the home where she grew up, the Dumping Ground. Both of the Tracy Beaker series were created by kid's author Jacqueline Wilson, who also serves as executive producer on Tracy Beaker Returns. A Cbbc Production, the new series also stars Connor Byrne and Lisa Coleman, reprising their roles as Mike and Cam respectively, along with a new cast of characters.

'Hell's Pavement', a new feature film, starring Irish actors Pauline McGlynn (Father Ted) and Conor Byrne (The Story of Tracey Beaker) will receive its London premiere on Friday, October 23rd in the Lexi Cinema. The 90 minute film is self financed and based on the true life experiences of Galway family, the Gormans, and is helmed by Keith Gorman in his directorial debut. Keith's mother is herself a foster mother and set up an independent fostering organisation with Keith in the UK that became the country's number one fostering organisation. 'Hell's pavement' features several Sinead O'Connor songs on its soundtrack and was shot in HD.
