Few franchises are as controversial as the feel-good Christmas family comedy "Home Alone." The first two films are widely beloved, bonafide staples of the American Christmas movie canon. However, the subsequent sequels — of which there are many — are almost universally despised. Most people haven't seen all of the "Home Alone" movies, and they might be left wondering — are any of the follow-up films worth watching?
Some feel that Macaulay Culkin leaving the franchise after the second film is what set the subsequent movies up for failure. In this critic's opinion, the "Home Alone" entries 3-6 suffer from a lot more than bad casting. However, I watched every "Home Alone" movie so you didn't have to, and I am here to answer some age-old questions. Firstly, is "Home Alone 2" better than the original? And secondly, are any of the follow-up films worth watching? My answer might surprise you.
You might disagree,...

The first two Home Alone movies are the most memorable ones in the franchise, with the other movies having continuity differences. Kevin McCallister is the youngest of Peter and Kate McCallister's 5 children and feels misunderstood by his entire family. The McCallister family tree is mainly based on the events of the first two films, with some characters not appearing in later movies.
In the Home Alone movies, Kevin MaCallister wants to make his family disappear; however, there are so many of them that it can get confusing. The first Home Alone film’s famous opening sequence shows a house full of kids and adults running and shouting while getting ready for a family trip. The charm of that scene lies on the fact that there’s an officer wanting to talk to someone that cannot comprehend who lives there and who doesn’t. Joe Pesci’s feelings in that scene...

“Waxwork” (1988)
Written By: Anthony Hickox
Directed By: Anthony Hickox
Starring: Zach Galligan (Mark), Jennifer Bassey (Mrs Loftmore), Joe Baker (Jenkins), Deborah Foreman (Sarah), Michelle Johnson (China), David Warner (Mr. Lincoln), Eric Brown (James), Clare Carey (Gemma), Dana Ashbrook (Tony), Micah Grant (Johnathan)
I use to love watching this movie as a kid and as an adult, I still enjoy it just as much. I had to originally do a search as I had no idea what the title of this movie was but was overjoyed to be able to watch it again when I found out the title. “Waxwork” is a classic B style horror movie that isn’t cringe-worthy but very enjoyable to watch. It was one of the few motion pictures that Vestron at the time actually produced. It was made available in an R-rated and an unrated edition from them. It is available on DVD by Lionsgate.

There’s a lot in store for the season 4 finale of Chuck and some of that anticipation has come from Casey’s family, who reunited with his daughter last March and ex-fiancé this April. The lovely actress, who plays Casey’s daughter, Alex recently took some time out to share some details about what exactly to expect in the final three episodes of the season…and a possible season 5. Check it out:
So what has been your favorite element of the show this season? There’s comedy, romance, action, and now a bit of family drama among other elements.
That’s what I like about Chuck, there’s such a combination of all of those things. It is a spy-action-comedy but you are still really are invested in these people. You really love them and want certain people get together and everyone to succeed. I like that about Chuck, it...

Not sure how we missed hearing about the new indie thriller Unrequited, especially since it stars one of the Twilight kids, Michael Welch, but considering he's a human in the Saga rather than a sparkly vamp or a member of the wolf pack, I guess it's understandable. In any event, a trailer landed online today for Unrequited, and we've got a look at it right here.
First, though, here's a synopsis of the film, which is directed by Jason Epperson (runner-up on the Steven Spielberg-produced Fox reality series "On The Lot") from a screenplay by Jeffrey Day and Thomas Lockridge: Unrequited tells the story of Ben Jacobs (Welch), a troubled young man who, on his 18th birthday, must leave the group home for “troubled teens” where he has been living for the past several months. After moving back in with his mother (Clare Carey), Ben discovers that his girlfriend,...

It's just possible that cancellation was a good thing for Jericho. When they heard that CBS was dumping the series after one season, thousands of dedicated fans banded together to convince the network to bring it back. Though the second season wasn't a big success, the show's fanbase had united and remained committed. Now, the Jericho story is set to continue.
Jericho centers around a small Kansas town that struggles to come together after nuclear attacks leave the United States in a state of disaster and civil war. Skeet Ulrich stars as Jake Green, the mayor's son, who helps to lead the community after the attacks. The rest of the ensemble cast includes Lennie James, Ashley Scott, Kenneth Mitchell, Brad Beyer, April Parker-Jones, Alicia Coppola, Pamela Reed, Bob Stephenson, Gerald McRaney, Richard Speight Jr., and Clare Carey.
When Jericho was cancelled for the second time, it seemed like that was the end of the story.
