He has been a newspaper columnist, a Los Angeles Talent Agent plus the subject of several magazine articles dealing with his near death experiences. He is a direct descendant of Charles Carroll, 13th signer of the (USA) Declaration of Independence, a cousin of 40s Paramount star Jean Parker and TV director Edward Ludlum, He is also distantly related to Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York.

Carroll was the voice of the evil "Dr. Gamble" in Joshua Green's original internet entertainment sci-fi series "Madeleine's Mind". According to published news reports, Green nearly went bankrupt with his 500 thousand dollar investment when Universal Pictures pulled the plug on the project.
