Over seven months ago, Season 12 of Father Brown premiered on BritBox in the US with little to no details about the show’s future. Anton Du Beke has denied that he is being lined up to replace Len Goodman on the Strictly Come Dancing judging panel - but has said he would not turn down the job.

The professional dancer told Phillip Schofield and Christine Bleakley on This Morning that he has not heard any rumours of Goodman quitting the show.

"Well, I know you said it's been in the papers, but I haven't heard any of this," he said. "I don't know what Len's going to do. As far as I'm aware, I don't think Len's not going to be doing it, but if they asked..."

Du Beke added that he is delighted to be acting as a guest judge on some of the 2015 Strictly Live shows, and joked that it could act as an "audition" for him.

"I'm doing a couple of guest spots on the Strictly tour, so they've probably got [the rumours] from there,...

The head judge will appear at London's O2 on February 7 and 8, alongside his colleague Craig Revel Horwood and former winners Tom Chambers and Camilla Dallerup.

Meanwhile, former contestant Lisa Riley will guest host the matinee and evening shows on February 8.

Rachel Stevens has joined the Strictly Come Dancing 2015 UK tour as a replacement for Frankie Bridge.

Bridge pulled out of the dates on the advice of her doctor after announcing that she is pregnant.

"I'm really happy for Frankie and Wayne - it's great news to start the New Year with," Stevens said.

"I know she's disappointed not to be doing the tour- I was supporting Team Frankie during the show and she was fantastic - but I'm happy to be able to step in for her."

She continued: "It's no secret that I loved my time in Strictly and that I'm a big fan of the dances, so I'm excited to be back and to get my dancing shoes on again.

"Today, I'm straight into rehearsals learning the routines and meeting the guys and next week we'll be on tour seeing fans across the country - I can't wait!

Len Goodman has revealed that he will quit Dancing with the Stars next year.

In an interview with Digital Spy and others, the dancing judge said the spring season will be his last.

"Next year, I'm not going to do the flying backwards and forwards – I'm not going to do the American show... I've got to have a bit of time off," Goodman explained.

"I've got my wife, I've got my son, my mother is still alive and she's in hospital – I've had virtually no time to go and visit her.

"So, I just need a bit of time off to get on with a normal life. And it was either Strictly went or the American one went or the tour went... I'm doing the spring one when I go out there... and that's going to be my last one."

The pair will appear with their dancing partners Kristina Rihanoff and Joanne Clifton.

They will embark on an extensive run of live dates in January and February.

Were Tom Chambers and Camilla Dallerup the best dancers in 2008? Probably not.

Former Holby City star Tom Chambers has claimed that he was turned down for a part in Downton Abbey because he wasn't posh enough.

The actor, who won Strictly Come Dancing in 2008, revealed he auditioned to be Lady Mary Crawley's (Michelle Dockery) love interest but was turned down.

Speaking to What's On TV, he said: I was told I didn't have enough blue blood in me to join the series. It was disappointing but you have to be thick-skinned when things don't come your way."

Chambers, who is now starring in BBC drama Father Brown, said: "If I had got the job, I wouldn't have been able to do this, so it wasn't so bad in the end. I'm delighted to be joining such an exciting series."

Jim Broadbent is to lead the cast of BBC One's second Great Train Robbery film.

Broadchurch writer Chris Chibnall's latest project is composed of two TV movies - the first, 'A Robber's Tale', will star Fast & Furious 6 actor Luke Evans as Bruce Reynolds, the mastermind behind the famous heist.

Oscar winner Broadbent will star in the second instalment, 'A Copper's Tale', as Tommy Butler - the detective charged with bringing the thieves to justice.

Rachel Stevens has said that she could "definitely" replace Alesha Dixon on the Strictly Come Dancing judging panel. Dixon quit the BBC competition last month, taking up a new role on the Britain's Got Talent lineup, sitting alongside Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and David Walliams. Former Strictly Come Dancing winner Tom Chambers has claimed that some aspects of the dancing competition are fake. The actor, who won the show in 2008, admitted that the contestants pretend to be friends for the camera and are encouraged to constantly smile on-air to please viewers. The Danish born dancer, best known for her regular appearance on Strictly Come Dancing is even hoping she may be able to challenge the other celebrities to their own dancing competition.

Strictly Come Dancing's producers have confirmed two Friday shows and a new points system for the seventh series. The celebrity ballroom dancing show returns next month and will include an episode on Friday night for the first two weeks. Earlier this month, it was confirmed that the Sunday results show will not be happening this year. The 16 celebrities and their professional partners will be split into two groups for the first two episodes, but not into men and women as in previous series. Shed Productions is to continue filming for a sixth run of popular BBC One school drama Waterloo Road immediately after completion of the fifth series, Digital Spy can confirm.
