Film workers to boycott shootings from October 10
Film and television workers will boycott shooting at Film City studio from October 10 as security guards of the government studio stopped vigilance department mebers of the Federation of Western India Cine Employess (Fwice) from entering last week.

Fwice general secretary Dinesh Chaturvedi said, "We have written to our producer's organization informing them about our decision. Only if the ban is lifted and we are given an assurance in writing we will not ask members to abstain from shooting at Film City."

Pune: Beauty Katrina Kaif recently experienced some 18th century chivalry from none other than ex- boyfriend, now friend Salman Khan. For people who don’t know, there exists an organization in Bollywood called Federation of Western India Cine Employees (Fwice). All actors, big or small are expected to be registered members of this body. According to Dinesh Chaturvedi, president Fwice, the membership offers several benefits to the stars including insurance. And the membership fees is a paltry Rs 600.

While mega stars like Srk and Salman are members, the Fwcie is upset that Katrina has not yet completed.

Katrina Kaif was stopped from acting in a deodorant commercial by an Indian actors' union, it has been reported. The actress had apparently failed to register with the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (Fwice) despite receiving a summons from the group. Recently, Katrina Kaif was shooting for a commercial for a leading brand of deodorant at Mehboob Studios, Mumbai. Amidst the shoot, members of Fwice (Federation of Western India Cine Employees) halted the shoot. The reason? Well, they had recently issued summons to Kats, as she is yet to fill the required forms and sign up for the Fwice's membership, as it's compulsory for every actor to be registered with the organization. Reports have it that the said organization's members wanted to know her registration number. Bollywood’s largest union has banned film shoots in Australia following a spate of racial attacks on Indian students studying there. The Federation Of Western India Cine Employees (Fwice) has called on its members to halt their filming schedules in order to send a strong message to the country. A Bollywood workers' union has decided to bar its members from filming in Australia following a spate of racist attacks on Indians.
