New Delhi, Jan 23 (Ians) India’s left-handed wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan has avoided a lengthy suspension on his attempt to deliberately appeal for a hit-wicket against New Zealand captain Tom Latham in the first Odi at Hyderabad.

Asif was found to have breached Article 2.6 of the Icc Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to “using a gesture that is obscene, offensive or insulting during an International Match”.

On the other hand, Fareed was found to have breached Article 2.1.12, which relates to “inappropriate physical contact with a Player, Player Support Personnel, Umpire, Match Referee or any other person (including a spectator) during an International Match.”

In addition to this, one demerit point each has been added to the disciplinary records of the players, both of whom did not have any previous offence in a 24-month period.

Dubai, March 15 (Ians) India have been fined 20 per cent of their match fees for maintaining a slow over-rate against England in the second T20 International at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera on Sunday.

Match referee Javagal Srinath imposed the penalty after skipper Virat Kohli's side was ruled one over short of the target after time allowances were taken into consideration.

"In accordance with Article 2.22 of the Icc Code of Conduct for players and player support personnel, which relates to minimum over-rate offences, players are fined 20 per cent of their match fees for every over their side fails to bowl in the allotted time," said Icc in a statement.
