Yuriy Chulyukin was born on 9 November 1929 in Moscow, RSFSR, USSR [now Russia]. He was a writer and director, known for The Girls (1962), Kak stat schastlivym (1986) and Pogovorim, brat (1979). He was married to Natalya Kustinskaya. He died on 7 March 1987 in Maputo, Mozambique.
