As you've probably seen, there's been a ton of discourse since Wicked's release about whether or not it's okay to sing, dance, and film while the movie is playing (even some from the stars themselves). If you're in the thumbs up camp on that one, you can practice your...

An isolated older man falls for his nurse in a well-intentioned but erratically edited film undercut by poorly written characters with lengthy, repetitive dialogues
Shot in the scenic North Yorkshire fishing village of Staithes, Christopher Clarke’s drama seeks to contrast the majestic beauty of the landscape with the loneliness of ageing. Retired biology teacher Vince (Malcolm Connolly), a gay man in his 60s, struggles to recover from a troubling health episode; from long beach walks to a careful diet, his daily routine seems restorative on the surface. On the emotional front, however, something is missing. Like a whirlwind of possibility, Carl (Darren Haywood), Vince’s new district nurse, waltzes into his life. Could this be the start of a special relationship?
Considering that the inner lives of older gay men are under-represented on film, Clarke’s film is well intentioned in its attempt to centre Vince’s desire for sexual fulfilment and companionship.

London, Aug 27 (Ians) People with vivid imaginations are more likely than others to believe they truly inhabit the worlds they visit in virtual reality (VR), according to new research.
This finding, published at this year’s Chi Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems, lays the foundation for software developers to improve VR applications by tailoring them to the personalities of individual players.
There has been a long-held assumption that the quality of a user’s VR equipment directly improves the quality of their VR experience.
However, the new study led by researchers at the University of Bath suggests that when it comes to feeling present in a virtual world, the nature of an individual’s imagination may be just as important as, if not more important than, the quality of equipment.
“We found imagination is an important component in the formation of presence: the better a person’s imagination,...
