    • Richard Clayton was born on June 12, 1915 in Montclair, New Jersey, USA. He was an actor and producer, known for The Tab Hunter Show (1960), Our Neighbors - The Carters (1939) and Father Is a Prince (1940). He died on September 29, 2008 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Trivia

  • Became an agent after he quit acting. One of his clients was James Dean.
  • Met James Dean when both appeared in the film Sailor Beware (1952). Richard subsequently left acting to work as an agent at the Famous Artist Agency. He later represented not only Dean, but such up-and-coming stars as Tab Hunter, Jane Fonda, Clint Walker, Angie Dickinson, Tuesday Weld, Richard Chamberlain and Harrison Ford. He also served as Burt Reynolds' personal manager for over 20 years.
  • Enlisted in the Navy during WWII and received a Purple Heart for wounds he suffered.
  • Uncle of actor Brennan McKay.
  • Late '30s and '40s actor who began his career acting and modeling in New York, before heading off to Hollywood under contract with Warner Bros. and earning minor parts.
