Dave Cohen's career has taken him from sportscasting - both studio
anchoring and play-by-play - to voiceovers to acting in motion pictures
and television. Currently seen in the HBO series Eastbound and Down as
the announcer on SportsSesh. Dave was TV play-by-play voice in the
climactic championship game of "Glory Road" and had a role in Trouble
with the Curve. He appeared in Ruffian and portrays a doctor on the
American Cancer Society website. Dave is the former TV play-by-play
voice of the NY Yankees on the MSG Network. He won an Emmy Award in
1996 for his description of a Dwight Gooden no-hitter. Dave has also
portrayed a sports anchor on "One Tree Hill" and a news reporter in the
Oprah Winfrey-produced "Amy & Isabelle". Cohen did 6
on-camera/voiceover promos for TLC shows Trading Spaces; What Not to
Wear and Whle You Were Out. He's also been a promo voice of CNN and
image voice of NASCAR. He was one of the first play-by-play men on ESPN
back in 1979 and was on ESPNU describing games in 2005. His anchor/host
roles have been with WABC-TV; WSYR-TV, WIXT, WSYT and FOX Sports South.
Wife Kathleen is the model for the animated character "Malory" on the
FX series Archer.
