‘Bones’ Actress Admits Season 1 Schedule Left Her "Overwhelmed"
Image
Over the course of eight seasons, the Fox procedural Bones cemented itself as a highly bingeable show with a satisfying ending. The series starred Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz as Dr. Temperance Brennan and Special Agent Seely Booth. Recently, Deschanel looked back on her somewhat grueling experience on the inaugural season of the crime drama. She recently was a guest on David Duchovny’s Fail Better podcast. She says that she felt “overwhelmed” due to the schedule. She explains:

“We were working insane hours, longer than just a normal series. You’re working 14- to 16-hour days, and then I had to memorize the lines. So I’d be staying up late night memorizing lines. I would joke that I would go home and just cry in a bathtub every night because I was just so overwhelmed.”

‘Bones’ Star Emily Deschanel Was a ‘Wreck’ After Being Reprimanded in Season 1 For Being ‘Late and Unprepared’: ‘We Were Working Insane Hours’
Image
Emily Deschanel’s run on “Bones” almost ended in Season 1 instead of Season 12.

In a recent interview on David Duchovny’s “Fail Better” podcast, Deschanel recalled struggling to keep up during the first season of “Bones,” considering the demanding shooting hours and the copious amounts of dialogue she needed to memorize.

“We were working insane hours, longer than just a normal series,” Deschanel said. “You’re working 14- to 16-hour days, and then I had to memorize the lines. So I’d be staying up late night memorizing lines. I would joke that I would go home and just cry in a bathtub every night because I was just so overwhelmed.”

She added, “I’d come to set and I would be trying to remember the lines that…I got no sleep and trying to remember the lines that I had memorized the night before and then I had them...

Jackée Harry To Guest Star On Season 2 Of Netflix Comedy ‘A Man On The Inside’
Image
“Days of our Lives” star Jackée Harry (Paulina Price-Carver) will appear as a guest star on the Netflix comedy “A Man on the Inside,” starring Ted Danson (“Cheers”), when it returns for Season 2 later this year on the streaming service.

While details on the character she’ll be playing are being kept under wraps, Deadline, which first reported the news, says that Harry could return for more episodes should the show be renewed for a third season.

Based on the documentary “The Mole Agent,” which received an Oscar nomination in 2021 for Best Documentary Feature, the series follows retiree Charles (Danson), who gets a new lease on life when he answers an ad from a Pi and becomes a mole in a secret investigation.

Per Deadline, Season 2 of the show will follow an anthology format with Charles tackling a new case each season. In Season 2, he’ll go undercover at a college as a guest lecturer,...

Amid Bones Revival Rumors, Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz Are Set for a Special Reunion
Image
Bonesstars David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel are officially reuniting to celebrate the Fox show's 20th anniversary. The duo are leading a special event to mark the occasion for the still-popular procedural.

Per Bleeding Cool, Boreanaz and Deschanel will appear alongside fellow cast members T.J. Thyne, Tamara Taylor and Bones creator Hart Hanson during a special 20th anniversary panel at Televerse in Los Angeles. The event will run from August 14-16, 2025 at the Jw Marriott at L.A. Live, and the panel will feature Hanson and the actors looking back at Bones' twelve seasons.

Bones was based on the life of world-renowned forensic anthropologist and author Kathy Reichs, who served as a producer on the series. It starred Deschanel as Temperance "Bones" Brennan, a fictionalized version of Reichs who worked at the Jeffersonian Institute in Washington D.C., frequently alongside FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth (played by Boreanaz). The series' ensemble...

How Sci-Fi Shows Like Stargate Sg-1 Influenced The Writing On Bones
Image
By the time "Stargate Sg-1" was cancelled by the Sci-Fi channel in 2007, "Bones" had been on the air for two years. That show's creator, Hart Hanson, had worked on "Sg-1" back when it was first getting started and it seems he took several lessons from his time on the cult classic sci-fi series.

After Roland Emmerich's "Stargate" became a box office hit in 1994, "Sg-1" was created to continue the story of the titular crew, and Hanson penned one episode for the first season back in 1997, before departing the show altogether. As the series drew to a close, Hanson was overseeing a much different show in "Bones," which began airing in 2005. The offbeat procedural paired the intellectual, socially awkward Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) with the fully grown jock that was FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz). Through an incongruous mix of humor and horror alongside an effortless chemistry between the two series leads,...

Remember When Michael B. Jordan Was On ‘Bones’? Neither Did Tamara Taylor
Image
We've heard the song and dance before: there's a lot of lines, a lot of canon, and a lot of history to keep stored up in the noggin when you've been on a hit television show. Gilmore Girls' Lauren Graham has talked many times about this when fans approach her with niche lines. With a show like the Fox crime drama Bones, the same can be said, at least for one of the actresses. Tamara Taylor, who played Cam Saroyan, recently joined hosts Emily Deschanel and Carla Gallo on the Boneheads Podcast, and Taylor was reminded by Deschanel of a guest star that has gone on to make sinfully good strides in Hollywood. Sinners star Michael B. Jordan briefly guest starred on the hit crime drama in Season 5.

On the podcast, Deschanel says, "Your daughter on the show dated Michael B. Jordan." Taylor, perplexed, asks, "She got to date Michael B.

“Well, what’s the point?”: Mike Schur’s Update on His Most Intense Work Sounds Much Better Than ‘The Office’ Reboot
Image
What do you do after creating some of the greatest comedies of all time, The Office, Parks and Rec, and The Good Place? If you’re Mike Schur, you take a wild left turn into heart-tugging mystery territory with A Man on the Inside.

This isn’t what Schur usually does, it has got a Ted Danson undercover in a retirement home. Based on an Oscar-nominated documentary, the show mixes Schur’s signature traits with a surprisingly sharp twist. And guess what? He says this might be his most intense project yet, and honestly, it sounds way more exciting than an Office reboot.

Why Michael Schur took on A Man on the Inside!

Michael Schur isn’t exactly hurting for hits. He’s one of the minds behind The Office, Parks and Rec, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and The Good Place, with a comedy resume so stacked it could probably qualify for its own Emmy category.

8 Things About The Yellowstone Series That Don't Make Sense
Image
The "Yellowstone" saga wants us to think that it's prestige television, but it's really an outlandish soap opera that requires us to suspend our disbeliefs and enjoy watching a bunch of cowboys get up to no good. That isn't a criticism either, as Taylor Sheridan's ever-expanding Western franchise is at its best when it's over the top, outlandish, and violent. Despite being somewhat soapy, though, "Yellowstone" is peppered with enough nuggets of wisdom and thought-provoking ideas to make it seem more important than it is.

Of course, it's impossible to watch "Yellowstone" and its spin-offs — "1883" and "1923" — without riding a metaphorical steam engine through its myriad of plot holes while feeling simultaneously baffled by its ridiculous moments. Sure, it's all part of Sheridan's saga's appeal as an entertaining trainwreck, but these shortcomings still deserve to be questioned. With that in mind, here are eight elements of the Paramount Network...

Bones Season 4's Most Controversial Scene Has Somehow Gotten Worse With Age
Image
During its run "Bones" was beloved by fans for its off-kilter mix of humor, crime, and horror. Typically, leads Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz would engage in some witty banter immediately before the show unleashed some sort of upsettingly realistic cadaver, which made "Bones" a truly unique experience. The show's graphic corpses were the work of fake body specialists and brothers Kevin and Chris Yagher, who provided bodies, body parts, and all manner of viscera across 12 seasons of "Bones," and at times, they simply went too far.

There was the fresh body on "Bones" that grossed out producer Stephen Nathan, who removed a shot of a detached skull and spine from the season 7 episode "The Crack in the Code," for being "too horrible." Evidently, this particular body was a tad too fresh to be showcased extensively, and if you're not all that familiar with "Bones," that should tell you a lot about the show.

Why Bones Made Angela And Hodgins A Couple, According To T.J. Thyne
Image
Fox's popular crime procedural "Bones" never hesitated to add a bit of interpersonal drama to its investigations. In fact, on many occasions, the relationships between the show's central characters far overshadowed the case at hand, no matter how bloody and dangerous things got.

The couple that quite rightfully gets the most attention on the show are, of course, forensic pathologist extraordinaire Temperance "Bones" Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz). Much of the series' allure comes from their slow and occasionally turbulent progress from uneasy work partners to one of the most loving and devoted married couples in the history of the procedural drama genre. However, they're hardly the only romantic duo on "Bones," and sometimes, the show's amorous pairings came to be in surprising ways.

One particularly popular "Bones" twosome consists of entomologist-slash-conspiracy theorist Jack Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) and Brennan's best friend, the forensic artist...

'We Started to Flirt': Bones Stars Share the Secret Backstory of 1 of the Show's Greatest Couples
Image
Bones was a long-running crime dramedy which succeeded because it masterfully blended elements of suspense, action, romance, and comedy. This was particularly evident in their handling of romantic relationships, most notably that between Booth and Bones. However, another fan-favorite couple was that of Jack Hodgins and Angela Montenegro, which apparently had actors T.J. Thyne and Michaela Conlin as advocates behind the scenes.

T.J. Thyne appeared in a segment of an episode of the Boneheads podcast, hosted by series stars Emily Deschanel and Carla Gallo –who played Dr. Temperance Brennan and Daisy Wick–, to discuss the development of his character's romance with Conlin’s and the role they both played in it. When asked about his favorite episode, Thyne responded, "I loved any episode where I got to kiss Michaela. It was like, oh my god, this is amazing. I get to go in and have this incredible experience with a dear friend.

“We Started To Flirt With Each Other”: ‘Bones’ Star Explains How Angela and Hodgins Became a Couple

The vindication of a ship getting together is made sweeter when you know it was advocated for by the actors behind it. With the series Bones, of course fans waited seven long seasons for Dr. Temperance "Bones" Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) to get together but another couple that stood out for fans was the adorable Angela Montenegro (Michaela Conlin) and Jack Hodgins (T.J. On an episode of Boneheadswith Emily Deschanel and Carla Gallo, Thyne joined the pair to talk about his character and also how Angela and Hodgins came to be a couple.

Image
The hit crime drama series Bones turns 20 years old this year, and fans continue to hope that the original stars will one day reunite for a revival. While such a project has yet to officially go into development, Deschanel's latest comments on the possibility are very promising.

These days, Emily Deschanel, who played Temperance Brennan, co-hosts the Bones rewatch podcast, Boneheads, alongside Carla Gallo (Daisy Wick). Speaking about the podcast and the TV series with Brittany Frederick of Cbr, Deschanel and Gallo both made it clear they're up to return for a new series set in the Bones universe. However, as Deschanel also pointed out, it's not a decision that's up to them, otherwise the revival would have already happened.

Every Bones Season Finale, Ranked

The police procedural Bones follows the socially awkward but ingenious forensic anthropologist Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and her team as they work with charismatic FBI agent Seely Booth (Davide Boreanaz) to solve crimes. Brennan and Booth initially clash, bickering about everything from procedure to philosophy. However, opposites attract, and their chemistry evolves into a romance.

While the majority of the show follows an episodic format, the program also features series and season-long arcs. These longer storylines tend to deal with Booth and Brennan's developing relationship, Brennan's complex family history, or cases involving multiple murders. Bones Owes Everything to 1 Tiny Detail That Quietly Saved the Show in Season 4
Image
It’s no secret that Fox’s Boneswas and is the oddball of crime-fighting procedurals. The unexpectedly funny show dominated airwaves for twelve astounding years, and it’s still earning new fans. However, like any show, it had its moments. There are only so many new ideas, after all. While other procedurals are known for their grisly realism, Bones opted for a character-driven narrative. That’s not to say it’s a bad show; it’s a unique gem in its own league of American television. Still, like anything else, it eventually grew stale. Its second season earned an astounding 9.4 million average viewers per episode, yes. But the following season saw a small but considerable dip to 8.9 million viewers.

That’s around 600,000 lost viewers per episode. It’s not a world-shattering viewership dip, but no showrunner wants to see a ratings slump. Other procedurals may have responded by shaking up...

'Yellowstone' Deaths: Who Has Died So Far on the Western Drama

Denim Richards' Colby Mayfield died in a December episode of Yellowstone after being trampled by a horse while trying to help Finn Little's Carter.

"The thing that I think is such a gut-punch about Colby's death is that in a season where there are all these twists and turns and dark forces and giant narrative swings, Colby's death is so powerful because it's so simple," episode director Christina Voros told The Hollywood Reporter. "It's a dangerous job, and this kind of thing happens and it happens in a split-second. This death comes as a shock because it's so simple, and it's so grounded in the world in which all these characters work that it's profoundly tragic.

Is The Fox TV Series Bones Scientifically Accurate?
Image
No two procedurals are created equal, but the beloved Fox series "Bones" is especially unique, focusing on just one specialty within forensic science. Unlike Dexter Morgan's blood-splatter analysis on "Dexter" or the more traditional forensic pathology of shows like "CSI," Dr. Temperance "Bones" Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and her team deal almost exclusively with, well, bones! Dr. Brennan is a forensic anthropologist at the fictional Jeffersonian Institute, based on the real-life Smithsonian in Washington, D.C., and she uses her skills at identifying information about bodies through their bones to help the FBI solve crimes. "Bones" is based on the Temperance Booth books by former real-life forensic pathologist Kathy Reichs, who infused her own personal knowledge into the books and therefore the series — but how accurate is the science, really?

While Reichs is a producer on the series, the writers took some ideas in wildly unrealistic directions and there are a...

Who Did Ryan O'Neal Play On Fox's Bones?

Across its 12-season run, "Bones" had an impressive array of guest stars stop by. Stephen Fry appeared multiple times as psychiatrist Dr. Gordon Wyatt, and Betty White starred in the least-watched "Bones" episode. The show even featured Zz Top's Billy Gibbons as the father of Angela Montenegro (Michaela Conlin). But one of the most illustrious guests to appear in "Bones" was Ryan O'Neal.

O'Neal, who passed away at the age of 82 in 2023, is best known for a string of successful movies in the 1970s, beginning with "Love Story," for which he was nominated for a Best Actor Academy Award. He also delivered standout performances in "Paper Moon," "What's Up, Doc?" and "Barry Lyndon," the latter of which took a huge toll on the cast and crew. But while the 70s arguably represented the peak of the actor's career, O'Neal continued working solidly in the ensuing decades and made his "Bones...

The Bones Christmas Episodes, Ranked
Image
Even the biggest fans of "Bones" — Hart Hanson's procedural series led by Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz which ran for 12 years and the same number of seasons — likely don't associate the series with Christmas, and that's extremely fair. Across those 12 seasons, the show, which can get pretty dark at times, largely eschews holiday episodes for "case-of-the-week" style installments as well as overarching storylines. So what about the few Christmas-themed episodes of "Bones?" Are they any good?

Actually, they are! While the Christmas episodes probably won't make a list of the best out of 246 episodes, only three center around Christmas, and each of them is pretty solid. Even sweeter, the best of them all even features a guest star you'll likely recognize from another hit Fox show (who also happens to be related to one of the show's leads). Here are the three "Bones" Christmas episodes, ranked from "pretty good" to "actually awesome.

6 Unanswered Questions Yellowstone Failed To Address
Image
"Yellowstone" season 5 is over, and with its final episode, the main flagship series appears to have rode off into the sunset for good. The franchise will continue with spin-offs like "1923," "The Madison," "6666," and more, so fans can look forward to more series set in Taylor Sheridan's cowboy-loving universe. At the same time, the end of "Yellowstone" has left us with burning questions that still need to be answered.

Of course, no one who watches "Yellowstone" is too concerned about plot holes. Viewers learned to accept them in season 1 after Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) dug up some dinosaur bones and the show led us to believe that people might come to try and claim them, only to never revisit the story. In some ways, "Yellowstone" is charming for its tendency to forget about certain plots while unloading more outlandish drama at us, and that's fine.

That said, while...

Why Ty Panitz Left ‘Bones’ (and Was Replaced Without Fans Noticing)
Image
In October 2024, David Boreanaz teased Bones fans about a potential revival, telling Today that he would "consider" a return if he could work with Emily Deschanel again. While nothing is concrete, it's worth wondering who would be cast to play Steely Booth's (Boreanaz) son, Parker Booth. After all, fans hardly noticed that Ty Panitz was replaced in Season 11 after portraying Parker Booth in Seasons 1-7 and Season 9.

Although Bones is no stranger to swapping supporting characters and younger actors during its 245 episodes, Panitz's departure bears closer inspection as a cautionary tale for young performers unsure of making acting a lifelong career. While Panitz's replacement only appeared in three episodes and hardly registered among casual and hardcore Bones fans, the story behind Panitz's departure is fascinating nonetheless.

Bones' David Boreanaz Tapped Into A 'Terrifying' Headspace For A Season 2 Storyline
Image
Sometimes, actors will tap into their own experiences to improve their work, especially if their character is going through something that they've experienced themselves. Luckily, David Boreanaz, who played FBI agent Seeley Booth on the Fox procedural "Bones," has never — to anyone's knowledge — endured a situation where his real-life child was in danger. Nevertheless, he had to access the emotions he would feel in that situation during a season 2 episode titled "The Man in the Cell."

In "Bones: The Official Companion Book" by Paul Ruditis, Boreanaz recalled a moment during "The Man in the Cell" when Booth's son Parker (Ty Panitz) is approached by a dangerous serial killer (though he's left unharmed), and said that he did use his own knowledge as a parent to feel what Booth would feel in the moment. "Being a dad myself and having that kind of connection, I use that in my work a lot,...

'Yellowstone's Main Villain Is Completely Misunderstood

Yellowstone spoilers involving Jamie Dutton's upbringing and actions.

Quick Links Jamie's Traumatic Past with His Family in 'Yellowstone' Beth and the Competition for Control in 'Yellowstone' Protecting the Ranch in 'Yellowstone'

Jamie Dutton, portrayed by Wes Bentley, has undeniably cemented himself as one of Yellowstone's most memorable characters. This recognition is largely due to the shocking and often harsh ways that Jamie goes about solving the many problems that plague him throughout the Western family drama series. From having his sister Beth (Kelly Reilly) unknowingly sterilized to the brutal murders of both Garrett Randall (Will Patton) and Sarah Nguyen (Michaela Conlin), Dutton has undeniably done some awful and inexcusable things.

However, the audience is left to reckon with and struggle to understand Jamie's motivation behind the crimes he continuously commits. Obviously, these crimes weigh heavily on the character's endlessly tormented psyche. The immense guilt is shown to be draining,...

Spoiler Alert !!!Spoilers for Yellowstone's latest season present in this article

The hit television show Yellowstone is nearing its conclusion this month. This neo-Western drama has captivated audiences in its successful run of five seasons spanning seven years. The dynamic storyline and nuanced characters have contributed heavily to the show’s success.

Apart from the power battle in the family dynamic, one of the show’s key characteristics is its intense environment, which does not ensure safety for anyone in the slightest. Killings, murders, and accidents are prevalent occurrences on the show. The writers never seemed to hesitate to kill off the show’s key characters and in the process, stomp on the fans’ hearts.

Yellowstone has delivered several demises throughout five seasons, from casualties to outrageous killings. This has caused anger, grief, and heated debates. Here are some character...

5 Reasons Why Taylor Sheridan's Yellowstone Has Lost Its Way
Image
This article contains spoilers for "Yellowstone."

The ratings for "Yellowstone" season 5 part 2 without Kevin Costner prove that the series is still a bona fide hit. Over 16 million people tuned in to watch the premiere episode, but many of those viewers were probably curious to see how the show dealt with its leading star's messy departure. However, while the furious response to John Dutton's death among the fan base indicates that many viewers feel that the show has suffered in quality without Costner, the truth is that "Yellowstone" has been on a downward spiral for quite some time.

That's not to say that Taylor Sheridan's neo-Western series is bad, mind you. "Yellowstone" boasts a strong cast of characters who are fun to hang out with under any circumstances; the show would still be entertaining if it solely centered around its main ranchers playing cards and drinking beers in the bunkhouse.

Who Plays Angela Montenegro's Father On Bones?
Image
We may receive a commission on purchases made from links.

Billy Gibbons is many things. He's one of the core members of the band Zz Top, a wildly popular rock band that has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide and is known best for their hit "Sharp Dressed Man." Gibbons himself is easy to recognize thanks to his very distinctive look, which includes a beard that instantly makes him stand out (even to those who aren't particularly big Zz Top fans). He's also an actor, on occasion, perhaps most notably on the TV show "Bones."

Fox's procedural "Bones," starring Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz, was wildly successful, airing for 12 seasons. While Deschanel's Brennan and Boreanaz's Booth, among several others, helped anchor the show during that long run, there were also quite a few memorable guest stars along the way. Gibbons first entered the fold in the season 1 episode "The Man in the Fallout Shelter.

Why The Creators Of Bones Never Considered A Darker Ending
Image
As is so often the case with police procedurals, "Bones" has no shortage of terrifying serial killers, and the show often deals with fairly grim subject material like barf-inducing severed heads created with real human parts. Considering the subject matter, it's easy to suspect that the show might have tempted to end its 12-season tenure with a grim finale. Instead, the show took the exact opposite route. "Bones" concluded in 2017 on a decidedly lighthearted note, as Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel), Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz), and the rest of the main characters all received an unequivocally happy ending.

Interestingly enough, the makers of the show never really even considered giving darker endings to its various main characters. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, "Bones" showrunner and series finale co-writer Michael Peterson revealed that late-game plotlines like Jack Hodgins' (T.J. Thyne) paralysis and recovery in season 11 and Zack Addy's (Eric Millegan) temporary...

David Boreanaz And T.J. Thyne Worked Together Before Bones
Image
There are 246 episodes of "Bones," and T.J Thyne starred in everyone one of them. Playing forensic entomologist Jack Hodgins went against the one thing Thyne tried to avoid — namely, becoming a series regular and playing the same character over multiple episodes. But after 12 seasons of the hit Fox procedural, the actor was surely glad to have been a part of such a long-running success.

What's more, it's not as if the show didn't give Thyne enough to work with. In the season 11 episode "The Doom in the Boom," for example, Hodgins became paralyzed from the waist down, which prompted Thyne to go full method in order to portray the character's struggles to adapt to his new reality. Alongside this dramatic moment in his character's story, Hodgins also had a long-running relationship with Angela Montenegro (Michaela Conlin), becoming a husband and father by the series' end.

So, while Thyne was initially...

The Boys Star You Likely Forgot Played A Character On Bones
Image
The closer one looks at "Bones," the more one begins to wonder if everything really does come back to Hart Hanson's long-lived rom-com/gnarly crime procedural. From multiple "Breaking Bad" actors showing up as guest stars to Kevin Yagher, the legendary creature designer who co-wrote Tim Burton's "Sleepy Hollow," playing a key creative role behind-the-scenes on the series with his brother Chris Yagher, it seems as though our plane of existence is merely a tangled web with "Bones" at the center. Were the show to somehow be lost to the ravages of time like so much older media has been, it's possible our reality as we know it would collapse. Clearly, we should stop playing Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon and start playing Six Degrees of Bones instead.

You think I'm kidding? Try this on for size: Before he came to fame playing Adonis Creed and Killmonger, Michael B. Jordan...

'I Can See It': David Boreanaz Reveals Pitch for Bones Revival
Image
A possible Bones revival may be moving a bit closer to becoming a reality. After both lead stars recently expressed their openness to revisit the show, one of the two has expanded upon the ideas he has for Bones and Booth.

In a new interview with Variety, David Boreanaz opened up about his time spent on Bones. He confirmed that there have been some preliminary talks about possibly reviving Bones, professing Booth would be an "easy" role to revisit. While a potential revival hasn't been greenlit at this time, Boreanaz suggested that if it were to happen, it'd be for a "limited" return, hinting that it could be as a short miniseries or reunion film.

Could Bones Season 13 Happen With David Boreanaz & Emily Deschanel?
Image
"Bones" — the procedural drama centered around forensic anthropologist Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and her FBI counterpart Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) ran from 2005 to 2017, spanning nearly 250 episodes and 12 full seasons. But will it ever come back for a revival?

It seems like everything is getting a reboot or revival now. Earlier this year, they reinvented "Mean Girls" as a musical starring Reneé Rapp, and shortly after that came out, Jake Gyllenhaal headlined a remake movie of the '80s classic "Road House" for a new generation. In Ryan Gosling's (delightful) action comedy "The Fall Guy," Lee Majors and Heather Thomas, who played the lead roles in the original series, show up in cameo appearances at the very end of the film. Throughout the past few years, everything from "Cobra Kai" to "Fuller House" to the long-awaited fourth season of "Veronica Mars" has reunited original cast members for another go-around. So why not "Bones?...

David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel in Bones (2005)
Where Is the Cast of Bones Today?
David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel in Bones (2005)
Bones was a dramedy crime procedural television series that debuted on Fox in 2005 and ran until 2017. Over the course of 12 seasons, the program broadcast 246 episodes. The series was loosely based on the life and novels of Kathy Reichs, a forensic anthropologist who also served as a producer on the show. Temperance Brennan, the title heroine, was named after the main character of Reichs' crime fiction series. The play on words is reversed in the Bones television world, where Dr. Brennan creates popular mystery books with a fictitious forensic scientist by the name of Kathy Reichs.

Each episode of Bones centered on an FBI lead investigation into a mystery surrounding human remains that FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) brought to forensic anthropologist Temperance "Bones" Brennan (Emily Deschanel). While the investigations drove the episodic stories in the series, it was the characters themselves, their will-they-or-won't-they relationships, and dramas that were...

What Is the Cast of “Bones” Doing Now?
Image
The beloved Fox police procedural drama, Bones, captivated mystery and crime series lovers for 12 seasons, running from 2005 to 2017. Following a brilliant forensic anthropologist Dr. Temperance Brennan and her charismatic partner, FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth, the show skillfully intertwined complex criminal cases with rich character-driven narratives.

Viewers were drawn not only to the intricate investigations but also by the evolving personal lives and relationships of the main characters. Yellowstone Season 1 Episode 9 Recap: John Dismisses Jamie, Jamie Talks To A Reporter, And Dan Hangs
Image
Yellowstone season 1, episode 9, "The Unravelling: Part 2" is the second half of the two-part season 1 finale and the episode sees John (Kevin Costner) and Jamie (Wes Bentley) reaching an impasse, Beth (Kelly Reilly) getting a new role in the family, and Dan Jenkins (Danny Huston) getting what's coming to him. The first season of Yellowstone may have some growing pains, but it's still an excellent nine episodes of TV, and "The Unravelling: Part 1" and "Part 2" bring a lot of simmering resentments to a dramatic boil.

The first season of Taylor Sheridan's TV show has seen John coming up against Dan Jenkins and Thomas Rainwater (Gil Birmingham) and in "The Unravelling: Part 1", their machinations begin to take form. However, Beth is making some plans of her own to undercut him. Jamie and John's relationship is as tense as ever when the two get into a physical altercation, leaving Jamie bloodied.

The Bones Season 1 Opening Credits Had Viewers Mixing Up Two Cast Members
Image
A Reddit thread revealed that some "Bones" fans were a little confused by the season 1 credit sequence — and as a result, they mixed up two of the actors.

During the season 1 credits, for whatever reason, actor T.J. Thyne's name runs under an image of Emily Deschanel — who plays the show's lead character, Temperance "Bones" Brennan" — and these Redditors admitted that this was seriously baffling at the time. As the original poster u/camdoodlebop titled the thread (complete with a screenshot), "did anyone else as a kid used to think her name was Tj Thyne?"

u/Chilly_0556 agreed and said they had that exact same issue: "Yes lmao. I first watched Bones with my brother when I was like 10, he was 14 hahaha, we'd watch episodes together sometimes. It was funny when I actually started watching it again, and realised that wasn't her name." At least the people on the thread...

What Happened To The Cast Of Fox's Bones?
Image
If you're a fan of the long-running crime procedural "Bones" — which kicked off in 2005 and concluded in 2017, spanning 12 seasons and 246 episodes — then you're definitely familiar with its core cast, who play a mix of scientists and cops trying to solve cases using forensics and, well, a whole lot of bones.

Based on the book series by real-life forensics expert Kathy Reichs and led by Emily Deschanel as the titular "Bones" — or, more accurately, forensic anthropologist Temperance Brennan, who bears the on-the-nose nickname "Bones" — the show centers around the fictional Jeffersonian Institute Medico-Legal Lab, which collaborates with the FBI to solve cases based on sparse human remains in Washington D.C. So what happened to the core cast of "Bones" since the show ended in the late 2010s, and what projects have they undertaken since playing police officers and scientific experts?

A Bones Revival Seems More Likely Than Ever Now
Image
In a world where revivals and reboots are all the rage, the possibility of Bones coming back less than a decade after its series finale is quite high, especially when those involved with the original show are on board. Fox's police procedural drama, created by Hart Hanson, debuted in September 2005 and ran for 12 seasons and 246 episodes before ending in March 2017. Throughout its time on network TV, the series featured the protagonists (Emily Deschanel's Temperance "Bones" Brennan and David Boreanaz's Seeley Booth) hunting down horrific Bones criminals, but the dynamic between the two leads is what made the show so memorable.

Bones is very loosely based on forensic anthropologist Kathy Reichs' life and novels, with Temperance Brennan being named after the protagonist in Reichs' book series. Meanwhile, Emily Deschanel's Brennan is also a successful crime novel writer in Bones, with her books featuring a forensic anthropologist character named Kathy Reichs.
