Image
The second season of Gen V is all about leveling up.

Fans of The Boys universe packed Ballroom 20 on Friday as Prime Video hosted the first-ever San Diego Comic-Con panel for Gen V. Showrunner Michele Fazekas and cast members Jaz Sinclair (Marie Moreau), Maddie Phillips (Cate Dunlap), London Thor (female Jordan Li), Derek Luh (male Jordan Li), and Hamish Linklater (Dean Cipher) answered questions from moderator and franchise star P.J. Byrne, who stayed in character the entire time as his narcissistic director, Adam Bourke.

Here are the five biggest takeaways we learned about Gen V Season 2 at Comic-Con.

The Boys Cameos

The official trailer for the second season of the spin-off series was screened for the crowd, with Dean Cipher's ominous quote, "You can all level up under the right amount of pressure," being of key interest for fans. The two-minute video also teased three shocking The Boys cameos from...

Image
Class is back in session today inside Sdcc’s Ballroom 20, where members of Gen V took the stage to address attendees and deliver a brand-new trailer for the highly-anticipated second season. Familiar faces, including those of Season 1 stars such as Jaz Sinclair, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, and Derek Luh, joined new-to-the-family actor Hamish Linklater and showrunner Michele Fazekas to foreshadow what fans can expect when the title returns for its next set of episodes this September, and it's crossover central!

You know Gen V loves to throw in a good cameo from The Boysand boy (pun intended) did they ever. This season, Marie (Sinclair) and her friends will be at the center of a sabotage plan as they head back to Godolkin, with none other than Starlight (Erin Moriarty) setting Marie up to the task. But, when they return to Godolkin, they discover that Dean Shetty's (Shelley Conn) replacement, Cipher...

Bridgerton actor Jonathan Bailey confirms he's sticking around for many more seasons
Image
If you were nervous about Jonathan Bailey and his fan-favorite character Anthony Bridgerton not appearing in future seasons of the hit Netflix historical romance, then worry no longer! The actor has made it clear he's not going anywhere, as long as the show keeps calling him back for more. With how much us fans love him, I'd hope the series would continue to do so.

The Bridgerton star recently spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about his time before the drama, teased a little bit of what's to come in season 4 (hint: he confirmed there is a wedding!), and told the news outlet about his successful career following his character's more central storylines in the first two seasons. The great news is that while we are waiting for the fourth season, coming in 2026, Netflix has already renewed the series for seasons 5 and 6. With these updates, Bailey is definitely in it for the long haul.

Bridgerton season 4 cast just got a lot bigger
Image
As we continue to wait for an official Bridgerton season 4 release date, our eyes are on signs that filming has wrapped and which parts of the novels will make it to the story. At the same time, we’re getting a few teases of new cast members joining the series.

What’s On Netflix has the latest tea about new cast members, making Bridgerton season 4 grow bigger as the months roll along. It looks like most of the main production has finished, with the official wrap party already taking place, but there are still some smaller scenes that seem to be filming. This could also be reshoots, which are normal for post-production, and they’re part of the reason why post-production can take a few months.

Gen V: Marie Moreau Joins The Resistance Against Homelander On First Season 2 Poster
Image
It looks like we might get a first look at some footage from the second season of Gen V this Saturday at Ccxp Mexico, as Prime Video has released the first official key art spotlighting Jaz Sinclair as blood-manipulating Supe, Marie Moreau.

In the season 1 finale, Marie and some of her classmates were rounded up by Homelander and his forces, and we saw the same thing happen to Hughie, Frenchie, Mm and Kimiko in the season 4 finale of The Boys. It seems interned Supes are going to form some kind of resistance to fight back against the leader of The Seven (best of luck).

Last year, we got the tragic news that 27-year-old Gen V star Chance Perdomo had passed away after a motorcycle accident. Perdomo had been a major part of The Boys spin-off series, and his character, Andre Anderson, was going to feature heavily in the second season.

Sarah Vaughan, c. 1945.
Diane Kruger Leads Star-Studded Cast in Paramount+ Psychological Drama ‘Little Disasters’
Sarah Vaughan, c. 1945.

‘Little Disasters’: Diane Kruger Revealed In Exclusive Images Of Buzzy Paramount+ Series
Image
Exclusive: Here are a couple of exclusive images of Inglourious Basterds star Diane Kruger in buzzy Paramount+ series Little Disasters.

Cannes Award-winning actor Kruger plays Jess in the adaptation of the Sarah Vaughan novel. When she takes her baby daughter to hospital with a head injury that she can’t explain, her close friend and on-duty A&e doctor Liz must make the excruciating decision of whether to call social services on her longtime friend. This decision sets in motion a chain of events that show how one moment can fracture and nearly destroy entire families and friendships. The show also stars Jo Joyner, Patrick Baladi (Ted Lasso), Shelley Conn, Emily Taaffe, JJ Feild, Ben Bailey Smith and Stephen Campbell Moore.

Kruger has had far more movie roles than TV but she did play Detective Sonya Cross in FX’s version of The Bridge last decade. The German actor, who broke out in 2004’s epic war film Troy, was described as an “intelligent and dynamic actress, whose sheer presence brings with it a unique quality that leaves you inspired” by Little Disasters director Eva Sigurdardottir.

“Attaching Diane allowed me to explore sides of Jess’ character in deeper ways than I had anticipated,” she added. “Little Disasters is a story of a warm and loving mother who is hiding a dark secret, and Diane navigated that character so elegantly, with relatable and warm performances, as well as truly haunting and thrilling moments.”

That relatability attracted Sigurdardottir to Little Disasters, she told us, along with a “tension and thriller engine rooted in very relatable and familiar domestic settings.”

“I am a filmmaker who is drawn to brutally real and gritty stories, and here we had a glamorous and aspirational setting, yet with a terrifying central conflict – a hurt child,” she added.

Marianna Abbotts is exec producing for Big Boys producer Roughcut TV, which has recently moved into drama. She said she “fell in love with” Vaughan’s novels after reading Anatomy of a Scandal. “Sarah often writes about professional women who are forced to make impossible decisions. At the heart of Little Disasters is a really difficult moral dilemma when one friend is forced to call social services on another,” she added.

To aid with tackling these sensitive topics, the Roughcut team worked closely with Vaughan along with multiple advisors. “We wanted to portray the issues in the book accurately and it was extremely important to get that right,” said Abbotts. “We consulted medical, police and social service advisers who guided us with accuracy and sensitivity while understanding the need to tell a dramatic story.”

Little Disasters is a six-part series for Paramount+ UK and Ireland. Ruth Fowler and Amanda Duke adapted the series for the screen with Roughcut Television EPs Ash Atalla, Alex Smith and Abbotts on board alongside Vaughan. Simon Judd EPs for Fremantle, Sigurdardottir is the director and Myf Hopkins serves as the producer. The series was commissioned by Sebastian Cardwell and Paul Testar and will premiere next year. Fremantle is handling global sales.

You might think that The Gilded Age, HBO's mannered period drama about feather-light conflict between members of the upper crust in 1880s New York City, doesn't have anything in common with Gen V, a spinoff of The Boys where college students get their heads lasered off by sociopathic superheroes. ‘Good Omens’ Halts Production After Neil Gaiman Assault Allegations Surface
Image
“Good Omens” has halted production on its third and final season, according to media reports.

The pause on the Prime Video fantasy series, which had been filming in Scotland, comes amid sexual assault allegations against author Neil Gaiman, which he has vehemently denied.

As filming takes a beat, “Good Omens” might undergo some production changes, per Deadline, who first reported the news. Representatives for Prime Video declined TheWrap’s request for comment.

Last week, Disney similarly put an adaptation of Gaiman’s “The Graveyard Book” — which had Marc Forster attached to direct — on pause amid news of the allegations, according to a report from IndieWire. In August, Netflix announced that it didn’t opt to renew “Dead Boy Detectives,” which is based off of Gaiman’s comics, for a second season.

Allegations against Gaiman, who is behind modern classics like “American Gods,” “Coraline,” “Neverwhere” and “Stardust,” surfaced in July, when...

Good Omens Season 3 Tease Gives Me Hope For Crowley & Aziraphale's Future (But It's Also Worrying)
Image
Good Omens is preparing for its third and final season, and theres a lot of anticipation around it thanks to season 2s cliffhanger ending, but Michael Sheens tease is giving me hope for Crowley and Aziraphales future but its also worrying. Amazon Prime Video has built its own catalog of TV shows, some more popular than others, and one of my favorites is Good Omens. Based on the 1990 novel of the same name by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, Good Omens premiered on Amazon Prime Video in 2019 with great success.

Season 1 of Good Omens was based on the novel and followed angel Aziraphale (Sheen) and demon Crowley (David Tennant) as they tried to stop the Antichrist from triggering the apocalypse. Four years later, Good Omens returned with its second season and an original story in which Aziraphale and Crowley teamed up again to discover what happened to Archangel Gabriel (Jon Hamm...

As the show gives way to the upcoming Bridgerton season 4, the final four season 3 episodes featured several revelations including the introduction of Michaela Stirling (Masali Baduza), a gender-swapped version of Francesca Bridgerton's (Hannah Dodd) book 6 love interest, Michael. Bridgerton Season 3 Part 2 Review: C + P Is The Perfect Formula For The Best Season Yet
Image
Colin & Penelope's love story ends perfectly, with Penelope taking the lead. Some supporting characters get engaging subplots, adding depth to the season. Exciting setup for the future of Bridgerton, teasing multiple seeded stories ahead.

For a TV show so deeply rooted in genre conventions, Bridgerton does contradiction and creative difference remarkably well. Each of the romances in the three seasons so far has been distinct and yet familiar to fans of romantic literature, and the modern spins on Regency romance keep things impressively fresh. Yes, there are tropes, but Bridgerton has a progressive beating heart that isn't settled because of the show's convention-challenging portraits of race.

Then again, there is a convention to Bridgerton that feels immediately comfortable and comforting, and the biggest question, in a different way perhaps than expected from season 3, is "what next?" This time, it's not just a matter of picking which of the Bridgerton...

Gen V Season 2 Adds Legion And Midnight Mass Star Hamish Linklater As The New Dean Of G.U.
Image
The upcoming second season of Prime Video's Gen V has added its first new cast member, with Legion and Midnight Mass alum Hamish Linklater set to join the ensemble as the new dean of Godolkin University, Cipher.

Trained as a scientist, he’s politically brilliant, and has the trust and admiration of officials at the highest level.”

The previous dean, Shelley Conn's Indira Shetty, came to a messy end in season 1 when Cate Dunlap's Maddie Phillips used her mind control powers to force the duplicitous villain to slit her own throat.

Showrunner Eric Kripke has previously confirmed that the Gen V finale will directly tie-in to the events of The Boys season 4.

We were a week away from shooting when Chance passed away tragically. So we had to almost rethink everything, and in just a matter of weeks. Gen V Showrunner On Decision To "Re-Craft" Season 2 In The Wake Of Chance Perdomo's Tragic Death
Chance Perdomo
Back in March, we got the tragic news that 27-year-old Gen V actor Chance Perdomo has passed away after a motorcycle accident.

Perdomo had been a major part of The Boys spin-off series, and his character, Andre Anderson, was going to feature heavily in the planned second season.

Showrunner Eric Kripke and the show's producers recently put out a joint statement confirming that another actor would not be brought in to play Andre, and the season would instead be "re-crafted" to pay tribute to Perdomo.

"As we continue to navigate the tragic loss of Chance Perdomo, everyone at Gen V is determined to find the best way to pay respect to his memory. We won't be recasting the role, because no one can replace Chance. Instead, we have been taking the time and space to re-craft our season 2 storylines as we begin production in May. We will honor Chance and his legacy this season.

Why Kate Is the Best Character from the ‘Bridgerton’ Books
Image
The characters in Bridgertonhave been beloved since author Julia Quinn began publishing the series in 2000. But there’s one heroine in particular who has been lauded by many a book reader: Miss Kate Sheffield, or, in the second season of the Netflix hit, Miss Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley).

Introduced in the second book in the series, The Viscount Who Loved Me, Kate is the protective older half-sister of one of the social season’s latest gems, Edwina (Charithra Chandran), and one-third of the close-knit Sheffield family. Kate’s mother died when she was young, so she was raised by her father and stepmother, Mary (Shelley Conn). Kate is single-mindedly focused on making sure her younger sister is happy, but the elder sister soon catches the attention of one Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey), who can’t get her off of his mind. And neither, it seems, can fans of the...
