ABC on Monday announced that the cast of “General Hospital” vs. the cast of “The Young and the Restless” episode of “Celebrity Family Feud” will air on Thursday, July 31, as part of the popular game show’s current 11th season.

Hosted by Steve Harvey, the soap opera-focused episode will air at 8:30 p.m. Et/Pt on the network immediately following an episode featuring DJ and music producer Diplo vs. actress Laverne Cox, which airs at 8:00 p.m. Et/Pt.

As previously reported, the soap stars participating in the episode include Finola Hughes, Donnell Turner, Rena Sofer, Tanisha Harper and Maurice Benard from “General Hospital”, and Joshua Morrow, Michelle Stafford, Lauralee Bell, Melissa Claire Egan and Bryton James from “The Young and the Restless.”

The episode was taped in May in Atlanta.

“We were definitely feuding,” joked Hughes during an appearance on “Live with Kelly and Mark” in May.

Soccer docs are all the rage, ever since Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney (sorry, Rob Mac) welcomed FX viewers to Wrexham in 2022. But Reynolds isn’t the only star to invest in the space. Consider Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa, the couple and co-hosts of ABC’s Live with Kelly and Mark. The pair were part of an ownership group that acquired the distressed Italian team Campobasso in 2022, and it has since been promoted to Serie C.

And, sure enough, there has been a documentary crew along for the ride, capturing not only the drama in the stadiums and locker rooms, but at home with Kelly and Mark, as they figure out coaching changes, transfer windows, and picking up some new Italian real estate in the ESPN original series Running with the Wolves, which will debut July 29.

The Hollywood Reporter caught up with Consuelos earlier this week to discuss the series.
