FX has dropped off the official trailer for a rock biopic series titled Pistol, telling the story of the iconic punk rock band known as the Sex Pistols. Director Danny Boyle is behind all six episodes of this gritty, grainy 70s throwback. "One word: Destroy." Based on the memoir of Steve Jones, the legendary Sex Pistols guitarist who helped usher in a punk revolution in Britain. Disney+ has unveiled the trailer and key art for the highly-anticipated, limited series ‘Pistol,’ coming to Disney+ on Tuesday, May 31.

The six-episode series is based on Jones’ 2017 memoir Lonely Boy: Tales from a Sex Pistol and centres on the furious, raging storm at the centre of this revolution are the Sex Pistols – and at the centre of this series is Sex Pistols’ founding member and guitarist, Steve Jones. Jones’ hilarious, emotional and at times heartbreaking journey guides us through a kaleidoscopic telling of three of the most epic, chaotic and mucus-spattered years in the history of music.

Starring Toby Wallace as Steve Jones, Jacob Slater as Paul Cook, Anson Boon as John Lydon, Christian Lees as Glen Matlock, Louis Partridge as Sid Vicious, Sydney Chandler as Chrissie Hynde, Talulah Riley as Vivienne Westwood, Maisie Williams as punk icon Jordan, Emma Appleton as Nancy Spungen and Thomas Brodie-Sangster as Malcolm McLaren.

The Sex Pistols embrace chaos and seek to change a “terribly boring England” in the new trailer for Danny Boyle’s upcoming FX limited series Pistol, premiering in full May 31 on Hulu.

The trailer details the origins of the band, as the working-class members seek to make their indelible mark in the world. “We’re invisible. We’re pissed off. No one gives a shit about us. So, we don’t give a shit about no one else. Maybe that should be our image,” one of them says in a voiceover opening the clip.

The second weekend of the League Season is finished and we’ve seen some teams continue their impressive starts, others continue their not so impressive starts and many teams get the first points on the board this season.

Punk legends the Sex Pistols have agreed to allow their hit song "Pretty Vacant" to be used in a television commercial for the first time. Former frontman Johnny Rotten, real name John Lydon, was slated for "selling out" when he appeared in U.K. TV adverts promoting Country Life butter in 2008.

Lydon defended his choice to star in the clips as it funded his reunion with his other band Public Image Ltd. (PiL) - and now his fellow former bandmembers have joined in his passion for commercials.

The group has agreed to allow bosses at bookmakers William Hill to use its 1977 track "Pretty Vacant" as the backing for the firm's adverts marking the start of the Champion's League soccer season, which sees Europe's top teams compete. July 20, 2010: John Lydon, the legendary frontman for Sex Pistols, revealed that he never liked the name of the group. His band comprised of Steve Jones, Paul Cook, and Glen Matlock, later replaced by the awesome Sid Vicious, said that they tried out a variety of names before sticking to ‘Sex Pistols’.

John, who is also called Johnny Rotten, says that he was all the time unhappy with the ‘twee’ moniker. He says that he was never fond of the ‘Sex Pistols’ moniker and found it really strange.

However, in spite of his discontent, he thinks it always could have been worse. He says that if it was.

The online publication of Roger Ebert's Anarchy in the UK film script, in the wake of the death of Malcolm McLaren, uncovers one of the more bizarre episodes in the Sex Pistols' story. It provides a barely fictional snapshot of the group at the height of their public notoriety, and raises the intriguing question of what the film would have been like.

The idea for a Sex Pistols film had been first mooted in February 1977, after the group was sacked by Emi: McLaren was obsessed with entering the heart of the media industry – where the big money was. Superman has joined Aussie soccer star-turned-actor Anthony Lapaglia's all-star Los Angeles team, Hollywood United.

Actor Brandon Routh has signed up to play alongside Dermot Mulroney, Sex Pistols Steve Jones and Paul Cook and reggae stars Ziggy and Rohan Marley to take part in summer league matches and testimonials.

The all-star team is not without it's former professionals - ex-Chelsea and French international Frank LeBoeuf and former Scotland goalkeeper Richard Gough also suit up for the team.

Punk icons the Sex Pistols are to release their first-ever concert movie.

Cameras caught the original Pistols line-up, Johnny Rotten, Steve Jones, Paul Cook and Glen Matlock, onstage and backstage at London's Brixton Academy last year.

The end result will feature in The Sex Pistols: There'll Always Be An England, which was directed by Julien Temple, who first filmed the group in 1976.

The Dvd package will include a Temple-directed feature called The Knowledge, which features each band member revisiting the neighbourhood of his youth.
