Disney+ leans into its nostalgic persona by creating collections centered on different decades and themes. Cm Punk and Triple H have given fans one of the most compelling rivalries in WWE history. Over the years, they’ve clashed in numerous feuds and unforgettable matches, but perhaps their most interesting and unexpected showdown took place in 2011, not inside the squared circle, not even inside the WWE arena, but at a comic con.
During a fan interactive WWE session, Triple H was present alongside other WWE superstars when, out of nowhere, Punk made an appearance. What followed was pure entertainment as the two engaged in a fiery exchange, taunting each other. In a dramatic twist, Triple H went as far as exposing Punk’s rumored secret affair with Beth Phoenix.

The first season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians started airing on Disney+ in December of 2023. The upcoming second season is due to premiere at the end of this year, meaning fans will have waited about two years to see the continuing adventures of Percy (Walker Scobell), Annabelle (Leah Jeffries), and Grover (Aryan Simhadri) as they pal around with Greek gods at Camp Half-Blood.
That's a long time, but it looks like Disney is making moves to cut down on future waits. According to Nexus Point News, casting is already underway for the third season, which is scheduled to start filming in July, so the cameras will start rolling months before the debut of season 3. That's a welcome change after season 2 didn't start production until six months after the season 1 finale aired. Stephen Amell has gone from being a TV guest star to the lead of three massive TV shows. While he got his big breakthrough in the CW’s Arrow, he currently plays the lead in NBC’s Suits L.A., and also headlined the canceled Starz series Heels. The latter has received incredible reviews but was still canceled prematurely in season 2.
As rumors of a potential season 3 making the rounds after Starz licensed the show to Netflix, Amell’s love for Heels has never been hidden. The actor compared the show, which centered around professional wrestling (something in which he has a lot of experience), to his breakthrough Arrow, and his explanation actually makes sense.

Edge has always been the yin to John Cena’s yang. ‘The Ultimate Opportunist’ was a legendary heel and gave us moments we will never forget. As the bad guy, he was a heat-seeking missile. Before his first retirement, though, he turned face and had a very respectable run. After that, he decided to turn to acting (like his predecessors).
Adam Copeland/Edge’s acting career has gone under the radar, unlike John Cena’s or The Rock’s. He usually stars in straight-to-dvd films. Edge also acts in supporting character/cameo roles on TV shows such as The Vikings. No one even remembers that he had a role in a DC production before even the Rock and John Cena.
Edge played the Atom Smasher in the CW Flash series
While the Rock and John Cena were busy doing other stuff, Edge was cast as a meta-human named Atom Smasher in CW’s Flash series.

There are a few superstars who rewrite the bounds of physical punishment one can take in the squared circle. Back in WrestleMania 14, when Edge took on The Undertaker for the World Heavyweight title, that was a display of his extra-terrestrial endurance. The Rated-r Superstar was one of those hardcore legends who simply wouldn’t bend, no matter the challenge.
Edge’s legend in WWE is of the highest standards. His rivalries along the way hardened his stature in the company and his dominance as the World Heavyweight champion, while playing out one of the hated heels of all time, is simply a testimony to his greatness. However, things went downhill for the big man who popped up on the screens of Aew, following the footsteps of his childhood friend, Christian, after a fine re-run with WWE ever since his return.
Has Edge’s time at WWE come to an end?...

Adam Copeland, popularly known as Edge, is one of the most decorated wrestling stars of all time. He gained massive fame and recognition as a WWE superstar and became an 11-time World Champion in the company. However, at the prime of his career, Edge got some news that brought his world crashing down.
The Rated-r Superstar retained his World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 27. Just two weeks later, he announced to the fans that he would be forced to retire from the company. Interestingly, it was former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon himself who told him to do so.

Amy Christine Dumas has been one of the most popular and controversial wrestlers in the WWE, who played the character of Lita. She was among those female wrestlers who were the epitome of success in the women’s wrestling department.
Lita was successful in every storyline that she was involved in, but her reputation suffered greatly because of these storylines. However, it was all controversial because it wasn’t just the storylines; most of these relationships were actual turbulence in her life. Unfortunately, any of her relationships with WWE wrestlers did not last.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians author Rick Riordan opened up about the future of the hit coming-of-age action fantasy series, after more than a month since receiving an early Season 3 renewal. Riordan also serves as an executive producer and creator on the live-action TV adaptation of his bestselling novel series.
Per Collider, Riordan was asked on Goodreads about the possibility of Percy Jackson and the Olympians lasting for more than three seasons. Although nothing has been finalized yet, he admitted that he’s actually “optimistic” about the Disney+ show’s future. "I'm guardedly optimistic about future seasons. No one knows the answer right now. It will depend on continued viewership, but we're certainly off to a great start! All I can say for certain is that everyone involved is hoping and assuming that we will have the full five-season arc, but we'll just have to wait and see,” Riordan said.

It was a whirlwind couple of days for Adam Copeland. On March 15, the legendary pro wrestler, fellow grappler wife Beth and their kids attended the 3rd Annual Children’s & Family Emmy Awards. The 51-year-old was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Performer in a Preschool, Children’s or Young Teen Program for playing Ares in the Disney+ epic series Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Then March 19 during Dynamite on TBS, Copeland went from the red carpet to the bloody red ring where he challenged Aew Champion Jon Moxley. A match that saw “Cope” bludgeoned the back of his rival with a spiked back. One can’t say this WWE Hall Famer once known to fans as Edge doesn’t have range. Copeland has enjoyed being able to jump back-and-forth into both worlds of entertainment. We caught up with the star to reflect on the evolution of his acting career after 25 years and everything going on in Aew.

The final years of the career of wrestling stars are considered very important for the future of the business. The top promotions majorly use it as an opportunity to shape up their current rosters and give significant push to the talents of today at the expense of the veterans.
Over the years, many veterans have put over younger stars to elevate their status in WWE. A notable example was The Undertaker taking a crushing defeat at the hands of Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33, which gave a huge push to the then-young star who ultimately became the face of the company.
Moreover, top legends like Triple H and John Cena did the same in the final years of their career. Triple H had been doing the same in his prime years as well, putting over stars like John Cena and Batista and, later on, Roman Reigns, Ronda Rousey, and Seth Rollins.

Did John Cena cry while talking about Edge’s legacy? ( Photo Credit – Facebook )
In a heartfelt WWE video from June 6, 2023, the 16-time champ fought back tears while paying tribute to his longtime rival, Edge (Adam Copeland), calling him a “good human being” who truly lives for sports entertainment. The raw emotion hit hard—fans felt it, the internet ran with it, and just like that, one of wrestling’s greatest feuds came rushing back.
Cena and Edge’s rivalry began in 2006, a fiery clash of charisma and grit. Their first singles match saw Edge triumph, sparking a decade of brutal battles—steel chairs, title shots, and crowd-roaring promos. Yet behind the scripted chaos, mutual respect brewed. “He’s given so much to you guys,” Cena said in the video, his voice trembling, “and I also think he’s aware of what you’ve given him.”
The tribute wasn’t just about rivalry.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians has a deep well of lore to draw from coming into Season 2. Rick Riordan dropped more hints that the show would adapt The Sea of Monsters next.
Clarisse La Rue will be a major player in Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2. Creator Rick Riordan confirmed this in a Goodreads Q&a after one fan asked what he's excited to see in Disney's continuing adaptation. "I'm looking forward to everything about Pjo season two!" he asserted. "I've seen early cuts of the first two episodes now (without any post-production effects yet) and they are already amazing. One thing I really appreciate about season two is Clarisse Larue being more of a major character, just as she is in The Sea of Monsters book."

Percy Jackson and the Olympians may have been an outstanding fantasy series, seamlessly blending teen camaraderie with Greek mythology, but one of its stars teases that the second season will delve into darker and more mature themes. Released in 2023 as a ten-episode series, it follows young Percy Jackson as he goes on a perilous quest to find Zeus' master bolt and prevent a looming war among the gods.
Season 1 of the fantasy series adapts Rick Riordan's first book, The Lightning Thief. In a recent interview with ScreenRant, Adam "Edge" Copeland, who plays God of War Ares in the series, discussed how the tale of Percy Jackson and the Olympians has evolved since its debut.

Replacing the late great Lance Reddick in any of his ongoing shows is a Herculean task for any actor, but Disney might have found the person capable of doing it for Season 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Reddick played none other than Zeus, the King of the Greek Gods, in the show's debut season. The beloved actor passed away shortly after production wrapped on Season 1, aged 60. While some of his past roles in ongoing franchises, like Charon in John Wick, reached a natural conclusion, Zeus plays a major part in Rick Riordan's novels, and the show can't survive without the character.
Per Variety, Courtney B. Vance will take over from Lance Reddick as Zeus in Season 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Vance is a two-time Emmy winning actor, best known for his roles in The Hunt for Red October, Hamburger Hill, Dangerous Minds, and American Crime Story.

Percy Jackson & the Olympians season 2 gets a new update from author Rick Riordan, who reveals how much filming has been completed. Based on Riordan's hit book series of the same name, the popular Disney+ fantasy series premiered last year, following young demigod Percy (Walker Scobell), Poseidon's son, as he embarks on an epic quest to recover Zeus' stolen lightning bolt. It's no secret that streaming services are becoming more and more expensive, and it's reaching the point where some people are questioning whether ditching cable was worth it in the first place. Maintaining a subscription to all the streaming services can easily surpass the price of cable, especially if you're someone who goes for the ad-free options. Disney+ is making things a bit easier with a limited-time offer but of course, there's a catch.
Between now and September 27, new and returning subscribers can get three months of the basic Disney+ tier, which includes ads, for $1.99 a month. That tier usually costs $7.99 a month, resulting in a savings of about $18. As previously reported, Disney+ is raising subscription prices across all tiers starting on October 17, so if you jump on the promo, your costs will shoot up to $9.99 a month after the discount ends. It seems that Disney+ is trying to lure...

Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, and Aryan Simhadri loved fighting gods and getting drenched while bringing Percy Jackson and the Olympians to life.
Sitting down with Entertainment Weekly during San Diego Comic-Con, the Percy Jackson trio talked about their season 1 experiences and what scene, in particular, each actor enjoyed filming the most. While Scobell initially selected his duel against Ares (Adam Copeland), he switched to Percy's underwater scenes, calling them "super fun for me to film because it's just like... I would come up every twenty minutes because I'd be on oxygen tanks. It was so awesome." Jeffries agreed, loving the Waterland setpieces because "the water was warm and they had jets too so it felt like a big jacuzzi," before teasing Scobell about a moment on-set where the jets hit him at full blast.
