For once, his son Gator (Joe Keery) has done the right thing by not broadcasting the fact Ole Munch killed his partner and left a menacing sign on his dead body. So far, only Roy’s aware the gas station’s upped its body count by one.
Gator praises Ole Munch’s big balls, and Roy points out Munch has altered the size of Gator’s. They’ve gotten smaller.
Roy orders Gator to dig up all the info he can on Ole Munch. And he warns his son to sleep with his gun cocked until the situation’s handled.

Honestly, I was going to pass on Peppergrass… The plot description sounded like another home invaders find out that what’s inside is more dangerous than they are story. And that’s something I’d seen many times before, The People Under the Stairs, Nefarious, Killers Within and, of course, Don’t Breathe. As it turned out it wasn’t what the description made it sound like, but was that a change for the better?
Eula Baek is getting desperate. Not only is she pregnant, Covid lockdown has killed off most of the business for her café Peppergrass. It hasn’t done Morris’ bar any favours either.

"Give us the white one!" Black Fawn Distribution has unveiled an official trailer for an indie thriller titled Peppergrass, yet another truffle film to compliment the outstanding Pig from earlier in the year. But this one looks like a much darker thriller, and it's telling the story from the perspective of the thieves, not the truffle hunter. It's premiering soon at the Blood In The Snow Film Fest up in Canada. During a pandemic, a pregnant restaurateur tries to rob a priceless truffle from a reclusive veteran. There's a big ol' truffle pig that makes an appearance at the end of this trailer. Starring Chantelle Han, Charles Boyland, Michael Copeman, Philip Williams, and Craig Porritt. I'm wondering if Peppergrasss is the name of his truffle pig, or maybe their restaurant? I can't figure out exactly what that title means from this trailer. Check it out. Here's the official trailer (+ poster...

After several years of rumors and speculation, 20th Century Fox is finally moving forward with a new remake of their 1958 sci-fi classic The Fly, which already got a well-received remake in 1986. The studio is in talks with filmmaker J.D. Dillard, whose breakout Sundance hit Sleight hits theaters next month, to direct this second remake and co-write the screenplay with his Sleight writing partner Alex Theurer. No production scedule has been set, and with J.D. Dillard and Alex Theurer already setting up another film called Sweetheart, this may not come to fruition right away.
Deadline broke the news that J.D. Dillard is in talks to direct and co-write the script, which is the first movement on this project in quite some time. Back in 2009, reports surfaced that David Cronenberg, who directed the original remake starring Jeff Goldblum, was coming back to direct a second take on the material. But that never moved forward.

When I sat down to watch Devil in the Woods I suddenly had a case of déjà vu because I’ve seen this movie before. I’m confused as to why The Barrens has been released as Devil in the Woods, probably the most confusing part is I’d watched it on VOD as The Barrens in the UK. It’s only a small detail anyway, as Devil in the Woods (as I will call it for this review) is a film worth seeing.
When Richard Vinryard (Stephen Moyer) takes his family on a camping holiday looking to get away from civilisation he is less than impressed to find that the camping ground he used to visit as a child...
