Terrifier Franchise Star Talks Future Sequels and Art the Clown's Endgame
Image
The future of the Terrifier franchise looks bright. David Howard Thornton, who stars in the slasher series as Art the Clown, recently opened up about what creator Damien Leone has planned for his crazed killer.

Speaking with Screen Rant, Thornton confirmed that Terrifier 4 was happening, although he stressed that the movie was still in very early development. "Oh, I know he hasn't actually started writing the script, per se, but he has definitely written down ideas. He definitely has a lot of ideas, and I know this whole entire time, even before he wrote part 2, we had come up together with where we want to take it for a good ending, we think, for this character," the actor revealed.

‘Terrifier 3’ – Damien Leone Teases Stomach Turning Gore from New Effects Team
Antonella Rose, Juliana Lamia, David Howard Thornton, Sienna Hubert-Ross, Charlotte McKee, and Elliott Fullam in Terrifier 3 (2024)
The makeup effects work on this Halloween season’s Terrifier 3 is complete, director Damien Leone has announced in a social media post this week that’s full of praise for the contributions from Christien Tinsley and his team at Tinsley Studio. The award-winning makeup effects studio is handling all the insane gore in the upcoming slasher sequel, and Leone promises that the bar for Terrifier violence is going to be raised even higher come October 11, 2024.

How is that even possible, you ask?! Leone writes on Instagram, “That’s a wrap on our incredible makeup FX team (@tinsleymua). It was scary relinquishing the makeup FX on Terrifier 3 to another team since me and @pjfalcone did mainly all of the FX work on part 1 & 2. But this time around, the scope of the film was just too big and the requirements were too great so it was time to bring in...

Major Horror Legend Joins the Cast of Terrifier 3
Image
A horror movie icon is joining the cast of the highly-anticipated slasher sequel Terrifier 3, which will certainly make horror movie fans rejoice.

Per Bloody Disgusting, the makeup effects maestro Tom Savini will make an appearance in the horror franchise's third film. Savini has racked up an impressive list of films he has made cameos in, such as Dawn of the Dead, From Dusk till Dawn, Machete, and Django Unchained. Bursting onto the scene as a makeup and special effects artist, Savini quickly became a legend within the filmmaking community for his innovative practical effects. In the original Friday the 13th film, Savini was responsible for the makeup and effects that went into the many kills throughout the movie. In one of the more memorable deaths, Kevin Bacon was killed by a knife from underneath the bed he was laying on, which was all done practically and needed to be...

‘Terrifier 3’ – Makeup Effects Legend Tom Savini Will Appear in Slasher Sequel

Art the Clown is making his return to theaters nationwide with Terrifier 3 on October 11, 2024, and Bloody Disgusting can confirm that a horror legend has joined the slasher sequel.

Makeup effects master Tom Savini will be making an appearance in director Damien Leone’s Terrifier 3, which Cineverse and Bloody Disgusting are bringing to the big screen!

Tom Savini’s work has long been a huge source of inspiration for Leone, whose Terrifier movies are of course loaded with the kind of practical effects-driven brutality that Savini helped pioneer. From the very first arrival of Jason Voorhees on screen in the original Friday the 13th to the splatter effects in horror classics including Dawn of the Dead and Day of the Dead, Savini is one of the all-time great masters in the world of special makeup effects, elevating the art of horror movie gore and paving the way for all...

Genre Streamer Screambox & Bloody Disgusting Acquire “Ultra Gory” Slasher Movie ‘Terrifier 2’
Image
Exclusive: Genre streaming platform Screambox have partnered with horror media brand Bloody Disgusting to acquire all North American rights to completed horror pic Terrifier 2.

The “ultra-gory slasher” will be released stateside this Halloween season before streaming exclusively on the Bloody Disgusting-powered Screambox. We also hear the film will play at multiple prominent genre festivals this year.

From writer-director Damien Leone (All Hallows’ Eve), the sequel welcomes back David Howard Thornton as demonic killer Art the Clown. Following his gruesome demise in the first film, a sinister presence has brought Art back to life to rein terror on the residents of Miles County. On Halloween night, he returns to the unassuming town and sets his sights on fresh prey: a teenage girl and her little brother.

The movie introduces Lauren Lavera as Sienna. Also returning is Samantha Scaffidi who will reprise her role as Victoria Heyes. Horror staple Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp) also makes an appearance.

Britney Spears
The Vine: Spears getting real for series
Britney Spears
Is broadcast television ready for Britney Spears? Representatives for the pop princess are shopping an unscripted series featuring backstage footage of her life on tour, according to sources. Spears would executive produce the series out of her Fairy Zone banner in association with Diamond Park Entertainment, which is run by her manager, Larry Rudolph, and Lisa Falcone. The project is under the supervision of Robb Dalton, president of program development at Twentieth Television, where it will be produced by alternative division Foxlab and an outside company, Zoo Prods. Reps for Spears declined comment late Monday. Being pitched with the pun-style title OnTourage, the series would follow the lives of Spears and her fellow dancers on the European leg of the Onyx Hotel Tour, her steamy concert series. OnTourage is being described as a cross between MTV's The Real World and 1991's Madonna: Truth or Dare. Spears would narrate and even wield a digital camera to chronicle her adventures with her dancers, bodyguards and managers from the tour bus to the stage. OnTourage is being billed as boasting an ensemble cast that features a theme right out of Fox's The Simple Life, with some of the dancers having never ventured out of the United States encountering the European high life. The six-week shoot would produce six episodes that Spears' team would hope to have on the air as early as the summer, presumably providing a boon to the already healthy ticket revenue she is generating. No word on whether any particular network is close to a deal, but the front-running network will have to act fast: Spears' European tour kicks off in London on April 27. Another potential hitch: The budget is projected to run north of $1 million per episode, which is expensive by unscripted standards.
