[This story contains spoilers for the first two episodes of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew.]
At 13, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew star Ravi Cabot-Conyers is an old soul. He was not only introduced to Star Wars by way of the original trilogy, but his desire to act was born out of his parents’ decision to share the 1966 Batman series with him at an early age. On top of that, he was raised in a household that appreciates the art of jazz, ensuring that a variety of musical instruments were always at his disposal. So, hats off to Christina Cabot and Charles Conyers for feeding Ravi a media diet that is refreshingly unconventional for Gen Alpha. (Cabot, whose father Joe was an accomplished trumpeter, played Major Kathleen Sparr in 2008’s The Incredible Hulk.)
‘90s music also factored into Cabot-Conyers’ preparation for the role of Wim on the Jon Watts and Christopher Ford-created Skeleton Crew. As established in the Watts-directed series premiere,...

Deadpool & Wolverine could have tarnished the legacy of Logan with its opening skeleton fight scene, but behind-the-scenes footage has proven why it worked. The opening scene of the 2024 Marvel movie has lived long in the memory of audiences for various reasons. Not only is it the home of Deadpool & Wolverine's iconic "Bye Bye Bye" dance, but it is the scene in the movie that directly addresses the events of Logan after fears that the return of Hugh Jackman as the character would ruin his strong ending from 2017.
Furthermore, the opening sequence houses plenty of Deadpool & Wolverine Easter eggs, with all of these elements combined making it truly memorable. Regardless of how it turned out, the opening sequence of Deadpool & Wolverine could have been dangerous. Upon first watching the movie, I still held my reservations as the ending of the Logan movie is one of my personal favorites in the superhero movie genre.

Deadpool & Wolverine delivered on its promise and ended up being one of the best Multiverse Saga movies to date. A lot of work went into making the threequel a reality, and filmmaker Shawn Levy enlisted Shane Reid and Dean Zimmerman as editors.
Reid counts the likes of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire and Saturday Night among his credits, while Zimmerman is Levy's longtime collaborator, having worked on the Night at the Museum franchise, Real Steel, Free Guy, The Adam Project, and many more.
We recently had the good fortune to sit down with Reid and Zimmerman to learn more about their work on the Deadpool threequel.
During our conversation, they talked in detail about the Deadpool Corps' role in the movie (including that incredible oner), the Honda Odyssey fight scene, Wesley Snipes' big Blade moment, the Wolverine Variants sequence, and that iconic scene where Hugh Jackman's Logan finally dons Wolverine's comic-accurate mask.

We figured it wasn't Blake Lively wearing the Ladypool suit on the set of Deadpool & Wolverine, but a newly discovered Instagram post has finally revealed who was wielding those Uzis.
As you can see below, it was stunt performer Christiaan Bettridge; she doubled for Gal Gadot in the Wonder Woman movies and also counts the likes of The Marvels and Knuckles among her previous credits.
"It’s not lost on me how special it was to don this suit," Bettridge told her followers. "Fun fact: when the first Deadpool came out in 2016, before my stunt career had properly started, I was so obsessed with it and thought to myself, if there is ever a Ladypool I want to be her stunt double!"

Ryan Reynolds is celebrating the stunt team on Deadpool & Wolverine and making a case for the Oscars to award their work.
In a new social media post, Reynolds honored the performers who stepped in for actors to make the complex action scenes happen and hoped that their work would be more widely recognized.
“Stunt work doesn’t have a category at The Oscars and I hope that’ll change someday. So many films have smashed it this year,” Reynolds shared on X, the microblogging platform formerly known as Twitter. “Buster Keaton, Harold Lloyd and Chaplin were stunt performers as well as filmmakers. Telling stories with their entire bodies.”
He continued, “This [Deadpool & Wolverine] stunt team over-delivered. A lot of them are friends I’ve worked with for years and I’ll spend the rest of my days doodling their names in my Heidi Stationary, dotting all the ‘i’s’ with little hearts.

Ryan Reynolds, star of upcoming film “Deadpool & Wolverine,” is urging the Academy to acknowledge stunt work at the Oscars. In a recent social media post, Reynolds praised the stunt team’s work on the new movie. He said stunt performers deserve credit just like other artists in film.
The actor shared photos with his stunt doubles and coordinators on Instagram. “Stunt work isn’t nominated for an Oscar yet. I hope that changes,” Reynolds wrote. The first time you watch Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) brawl Yuriko Oyama aka Lady Deathstrike (Kelly Hu) in 2003's "X2: X-Men United," you may find yourself echoing what Logan says at the outset of their showdown: "Holy s**t." More than 20 years later, the fight between these two super-healing individuals with adamantium-laced skeletons still ranks up there as one of the most savage mutant versus mutant scuffles in all of 20th Century Fox's "X-Men" movies. Despite being restricted by the film's PG-13 rating, this sequence manages to packs in plenty of wince-inducing moments, culminating with Lady Deathstrike's horrifying fate of death by liquified adamantium injection. That she'd spent the whole movie being forced to serve the detestable William Stryker (Brian Cox), who uses a mind control serum to rob her of her agency, only adds to the greater tragedy of the character.

Deadpool & Wolverine features so many cameos and Easter eggs that it's honestly hard to keep track of them all. But there's one very important cameo that not even the star of the movie, Ryan Reynolds, actually knew about. Not that the actor is always aware of everything taking place, but this cameo in particular puts Reynolds very close to another Marvel superhero that didn't appear in his movie: a certain Avenger with a Spidey sense, played by Tom Holland.

Reynolds was actually reposting a story by stunt coordinator George Cottle, who uploaded a photo of Holland in a Deadpool costume. Tom Holland is the current face of Spider-Man, although he stands on the shoulders of others who came before him, including Tobey Maguire. The actor is an integral part of the MCU, and he quickly became a favorite among comic book lovers. His natural athleticism allows him to pull off stunts very easily.
However, before Holland, Maguire performed his own stunts too. Back when he played the webbed superhero in Sam Raimi’s films, the actor filmed some of the most jaw-dropping scenes ever seen on the big screen. The BTS footage shows the work Maguire put in to execute them to perfection.

However, before Holland, Maguire performed his own stunts too. Back when he played the webbed superhero in Sam Raimi’s films, the actor filmed some of the most jaw-dropping scenes ever seen on the big screen. The BTS footage shows the work Maguire put in to execute them to perfection.

One of the year’s biggest hits — and a surefire Oscar contender — is Oppenheimer, filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s three-hour epic, captured on sprawling 65 mm, about theoretical physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer’s stewardship of the Manhattan Project that created the world’s first atomic bomb, his anxiety over unleashing such a destructive force out into the world, and his subsequent persecution by the very U.S. government that had celebrated his WWII-ending monstrosity.

Deadpool 3 began filming last month, and the excitement for the Merc with a Mouth's MCU debut is growing. In 2022, Hugh Jackman teamed up with Ryan Reynolds to announce that not only would Wade Wilson be coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but he would be joining Wolverine. And since then, fans have been looking forward to the film. And it seems that not only them.
Tom Holland, who will soon return to the big screen with Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures in the fourth installment of his film saga as Peter Parker, is one of the most excited for the third part of the Deadpool trilogy.
In an interview with Forbes, when asked if he'd ever imagined sharing the screen with both Reynolds and Jackman, the actor couldn't hide his anticipation for the future film:
“Yeah, of course I have. I’m a big fan of both of those guys.

It looks like Tom Holland's Peter Parker will be put through the wringer once again in upcoming Marvel sequel Spider-Man: No Way Home. A new image of the actor behind the scenes with the rest of the principal cast and crew clearly shows Holland battered and bruised, no doubt as a result of a run-in with a villain (or possibly multiple villains) as he attempts to navigate his way around the madness of the multiverse.
The image, which arrives just after news that Spider-Man 3 has wrapped shows Jacob Batalon as Ned and Zendaya as Mj alongside Holland's Peter Parker, with the actor shown wearing the Spider-Man suit, albeit unmasked, his smiling face jarring with the cuts and bruises that adorn it.
While it is currently unknown how Peter Parker ends up undergoing so much damage to his adolescent mug, Holland did recently reveal that Spider-Man: No Way Home...

You could argue that Tenet, the brain-teasing new blockbuster-to-be from agent provocateur Christopher Nolan, doesn’t know whether it’s coming or going. Actually it’s doing both — and the director-screenwriter is challenging us to try and keep up. It’s as if an African-American James Bond, in the person of the sharply bespoke-suited spymaster played by John David Washington, found himself among the mindhunters of Nolan’s 2010 Inception. He’s a filmmaker who has been screwing around with our ideas about time since his 2001 breakthrough Memento — even his 2017 war...

In 2011, a 22-year-old stunt performer from Australia named Destan Arslanoski suffered a career-ending injury while working on a film in Malaysia.
Arslanoski says that the performer who was scripted to swing a prop ax at his back, Craig Fairbrass, had been told to “tone down” the aggression of his approach during rehearsals. Nonetheless, Fairbrass missed the spine protector Arslanoski was wearing, hitting his lower back and causing an immediate and long-term injury.
Representatives for Fairbrass declined to comment for this story. The film’s production company also declined to comment.
“I collapsed to the ground and couldn’t feel my legs,” says Arslanoski, who today, at 30, is working as a corrections department custodial officer and serving part-time in the Royal Australian Air Force. Crew members dragged him near a fan in the almost 120-degree heat, and he lay prone and waited for nearly an hour before paramedics finally arrived — there...

Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures have released a pretty great new trailer for Kong: Skull Island.
The movie reimagines the origin of the mythic Kong in a compelling, original adventure from director Jordan Vogt-Roberts (“The Kings of Summer”).
In the film, a diverse team of explorers is brought together to venture deep into an uncharted island in the Pacific – as beautiful as it is treacherous – unaware that they’re crossing into the domain of the mythic Kong.
Kong: Skull Island stars Tom Hiddleston (“The Avengers,” “Thor: The Dark World”), Samuel L. Jackson (“The Hateful Eight,” “Avengers: Age of Ultron”), Oscar winner Brie Larson (“Room,” “Trainwreck”), John Goodman (“Transformers: Age of Extinction,” “Argo”) and John C. Reilly (“Guardians of the Galaxy,” “Step Brothers”). The international ensemble cast also includes Tian Jing (“Police Story: Lockdown”), Corey Hawkins (“Straight Outta Compton”), Jason Mitchell (“Straight Outta Compton”), John Ortiz (“Steve Jobs”), Thomas Mann...

Last year's blockbuster Interstellar performed quite well at the box office, taking in over $672 million worldwide. But the sprawling and ambitious sci-fi epic had many fans scratching their heads when it came to the ending, which was so complex we even broke it down at length back in November. Screenwriter Jonathan Nolan and producer/science adviser Kip Thorne attended a media event at Caltech's Jet Propulsion Lab to promote the release on Blu-ray and DVD, arriving from Paramount on March 31, where Jonathan Nolan revealed that the original ending was "much more straight-forward." If you haven't seen Interstellar yet, there will be Spoilers below, so read on at your own risk.
At the end of Interstellar, Matthew McConaughey's Cooper launches himself into the black hole known as Gargantua, in hopes of sending the data compiled on the signularity of gravity back to Earth. He ends up in "the 5th dimension,...

Boldface names made their way down the red carpet: the bolder the name, the faster they moved. Oops, there went Brad Pitt (Benjamin Button). Too late. But Alec Baldwin (30 Rock) did pause for a moment:
He picked up an award later that evening for male actor in a comedy series. Meanwhile, the unofficial award for cutest kids went to the ones playing adman Don Draper’s children in Mad Men. Kiernan Shipka looks sweet …
… but advised me that if she won an award (she did, as part of an ensemble), it would go next to her Tae Kwon Do trophies. Easy there tiger! Meanwhile, her cast-mate and fellow winner Aaron Hart is a handsome little fellow …

The man behind the mask... Christian Bale plays Bruce Wayne/Batman in The Dark Knight
Photo: Warner Bros. Pictures I was recently thinking how amazing it actually is to have films based on comic book superheroes starring bonafide actors working under the direction of a bonafide helmer. Christian Bale is a prime example of a man none of us would have thought of a few years ago to star as the Caped Crusader in a new Batman franchise, but here we are. It's 2008 and not only do we have one film starring Bale, but two, and he has led the way for actors such as Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man) and Edward Norton (The Incredible Hulk), proving you don't have to be some second rate actor looking for a big break in the summer blockbuster film. No, in fact you can be a highly sought after actor and as long...
