Exclusive: The Ilya Naishuller-directed action movie Heads of State has clocked in north of 75 million worldwide Prime Video viewers since its July 2 launch, we can tell you first.

That makes it the fourth most-watched Amazon MGM Studios film of all-time on Amazon’s Ott service.

The pic ranks behind the Dwayne Johnson-Chris Evans Christmas action title Red One from Jake Kasdan, which is Prime Video’s most watched Amazon MGM feature title of all time. While an extended month number was never made public, Red One clocked 50M Prime Video viewers in its first four days; it also received a theatrical release, grossing $186M worldwide.

The second most-watched Amazon MGM movie on Prime is the Ben Affleck-Jon Bernthal The Accountant 2 with 80M worldwide viewers over its first 28 days. That Gavin O’Connor-directed action dramedy also went to the big screen and grossed $103.2M at the global box office.

“Heads of State” (2025) starring Idris Elba, John Cena, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, is a goofy action-comedy that is successful in what it set out to do—giving you an hour or so of entertainment. Directed by Ilya Naishuller of “Nobody” (2021) fame, the film exudes unabashed transparency while embracing its innate silliness. And that is praiseworthy. Elba and Cena, working together after “The Suicide Squad,” elevate the otherwise middling save-the-western-world-from-an-eastern-conspiracy story with their palpable synergy. Priyanka Chopra Jonas takes center spot between her leading men at the premiere of their new movie Heads of State held at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center on Tuesday evening (June 24) in New York City.

The 42-year-old actress posed with her co-stars Idris Elba and John Cena ahead of the release of the upcoming action comedy.

Also seen attending the screening event were additional cast members including Carla Gugino, Stephen Root, Sarah Niles, Richard Coyle and Alexander Kuznetsov, as well as director Ilya Naishuller and John‘s wife Shay Shariatzadeh.
