Tom Brady Seen Linking Arms with Teammates During the National Anthem Following Trump’s Controversial Comments
Donald Trump
Tom Brady was seen linking arms with his New England Patriots teammates during the national anthem at their Sunday afternoon game against the Houston Texans.

Patriots reporter for the Providence Journal Mark Daniels also noted that lots of defensive players chose to take a knee.

On Sunday morning, Brady subtly showed his support for the NFL players’ protest following Donald Trump’s recent comments about how professional athletes like Colin Kaepernick — who have chosen to protest the national anthem by taking a knee — should be fired.

Brady posted a picture of him and his teammate James White captioned, “Strength. Passion.

But in celebrating the 80th anniversary of his birth on September 25, 1932 (and looking forward with sadness to the 30th anniversary of his death of a stroke on October 4, 1982), it's worth remembering that he was interested in many more composers. I didn't have to make too much of a conscious effort to diversify this baker's-dozen list until I got down to the last two spots. (All the recommended recordings were issued by Columbia Records/CBS Masterworks/Sony Classical.)

J.S. Bach: Goldberg Variations, Bwv 988; Sweelinck: Fantasia in D major; Schoenberg: Piano Suite Op.

Interview with The Veteran director Mathew Hope
The Veteran opens in UK cinemas Friday, April 29, 2011.

Before attending an early screening Mathew Hope's new urban thriller The Veteran, our own Hal MacDermot sat down with the director to pick his brain about the film.

Read the entire interview with Mathew Hope after the break.

"Hal: Talk to me about the inspiration for The Veteran.

Matthew: The inspiration for The Veteran is twofold . the story came out of conversations I had with the co-writer and technical advisor Robert Craft. He.d spent 24 years in the military. We were talking a lot of about soldiers returning from Afghanistan and it was born out of those conversations. Also I was inspired by Taxi Driver, the anti-hero and first person narrative. I was also into Paul Schrader.s ideas from the mid-70s . the man in his room waiting for a mission - Also, Schrader.s interest in Bresson.s movies Pickpocket...
