Intruder (1989) – Wtf Happened to This Horror Movie?
Image
The Intruder episode of Wtf Happened to This Horror Movie? was Written by Emilie Black, Narrated by Adam Walton, Edited by Juan Jimenez, Produced by Andrew Hatfield and John Fallon, and Executive Produced by Berge Garabedian.

Slashers, one of the most popular sub-genres in horror. One with hundreds, if not thousands of entries. While it was certainly on the downturn in the late 1980s, it still seemingly had a new title released every week. In 1989 alone, the slasher world saw the releases of A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child, Sleepaway Camp III: Teenage Wasteland, Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan, Deadly Manor, I Madman, and a whole bunch more. It was a year for slasher sequels with a few originals peppered in. Slashers were big box office and direct-to-video draw in general and studios were churning them out. The slashers were on the prowl and...

Intruder could be the perfect stocking filler
As a teenager back in the UK I can honestly say that Intruder was one of my favorite horror flicks. I was hooked after seeing it splattered across the cover of Gorezone (#6 I believe). It was released there on vhs with Uncut Version emblazoned across the cover art, which I believe was a mistake as it was to be released with a couple of minutes chopped off.

Anyway, December 13th will see Synapse release this beauty, which is also known as Night Crew: The Final Checkout, onto Blu-ray just in time for Christmas. And will you just look at that glorious artwork!!

This Christmas, Synapse Films Has The Grosseries!

Scott Spiegel’s infamous gore classic finally hits the aisles with a splatterific new HD Blu-ray transfer!

From Lawrence Bender, the producer of Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs, and the classic From Dusk Till Dawn!

Scott Spiegel’s...

“It’s 10 pm and the employees of Michigan’s Walnut Lake Supermarket are in for a really bad night. The place is shutting its doors for good, and the night crew has a long shift ahead of them… longer than they think! The lovely check-out girl has a deranged ex-boyfriend, the store’s phone lines are cut, and the employees start dying in the most stomach-churning ways imaginable (courtesy of Academy Award®-winning Knb Efx Group). A deranged killer is on the loose in the grocery store! Can anyone stop this murderous intruder?

Synapse Films is proud to present Scott Spiegel’s Intruder, the ‘holy grail’ of extreme gore cinema,...
