An Arizona prisoner was convicted earlier this week in the 12-year-old murders of his best friend, the man’s girlfriend and her four young children in what authorities described as an hours-long spree of violence.
Preston Strong, 50, was found guilty Tuesday of six counts of first-degree murder for killing 35-year-old Luis Rios, his 29-year-old girlfriend, Adrienne Heredia, and her four kids — 13-year-old Andreas Crawford, 12-year-old Enrique Bedoya, 9-year-old Inez Newman and Danny Heredia III, 6.
Prosecutors, who declined to comment to People, argued the 2005 murders in Yuma, Arizona, were fueled by greed after Rios stopped giving Strong hand-outs, the Associated Press and Kyma report.
