The season finale episode is Season 2, Episode 6, “Season of Change.” According to a report via Parade, a party is coming to Brookfield. Sam (Marshall Williams) doesn’t want to share his good news with anyone else. Maggie (Hanneke Talbot) agrees to keep it a secret. What they don’t know is that the rest of the residents already knows about Sam’s good news.

They’re planning a big party for him. Meanwhile, money-obsessed Ronnie (Neil Crone) comes across another opportunity to make money with Sam’s newfound fortune. The synopsis also teases that “the town comes together to celebrate while love blooms, but for whom exactly?” There is also tension and drama in Sunday’s season finale.

On Thursday, February 27, People Magazine was the first to tease the new trailer for Season 2 of When Hope Calls. The story picks up from the premiere season, which aired on the Hallmark Channel. Great American Family picked up the rights to the show, which is a spinoff of When Calls the Heart. However, it will have a different vibe from the sister drama.

This week's episode of Ghoststakes us back to 1776 to see the origin of Isaac's (Brandon Scott Jones) long-standing beef with fellow founding father Alexander Hamilton (Nat Faxon). In addition to Faxon, the episode also sees the return of many fun guest actors, including Matt Walsh, Hillary Anne Matthews, and Neil Crone. With this in mind, when I sat down to speak with Jones about this episode, I had to ask if he had any dream guest stars in mind for the series. Jones delivered an excellent answer: his top choice played a character who spent years on the outskirts of history in Veep, much like Isaac. "Oh my goodness, dream guest stars. My North Star as an actor is Julia Louis-Dreyfus," Jones explained. "So if I could ever be anywhere near her presence, even if she's on a Zoom call in the show, I would be over the moon.

When Hope Calls sets official season 2 premiere date on Great American Family

The When Calls the Heart spinoff, When Hope Calls, originated on Hallmark Channel in 2019 with a ten-episode first season. Meanwhile, the spinoff was relocated to Great American Family in 2021, to air two Christmas episodes. Now, season 2 will kick off its eight-episode show on Sunday, April 6, 2025. Moreover, the premiere episode is set to stream three days earlier on Thursday, April 3 on Pure Flix.

Meanwhile, it was announced that the popular series will be adding cast in the form of three new additions.

More than three years after its last original episode, When Hope Calls has finally set its Season 2 premiere date at Great American Family.

The When Calls the Heart spinoff — which originated on Hallmark in 2019 with a 10-episode Season 1, then relocated to Gaf in 2021 for a pair of Christmas episodes — will kick off its eight-episode sophomore season Sunday, April 6. When Hope Calls season 2 gets a narrow release date. A spinoff of Hallmark Channel's When Calls the Heart, and based on the books by Janette Oke, the drama premiered in August 2019. The story follows a pair of sisters, Lillian Walsh (Morgan Kohan) and Grace Bennett (Jocelyn Hudon), in the town of Brookfield back in 1916. The cast also includes Ryan-James Hatanaka, Greg Hovanessian, Wendy Crewson, Marshall Williams, Hanneke Talbot, Neil Crone, and Full House alum Lori Loughlin. Although the adaptation was renewed back in December 2021, it's been a long wait to get to audiences.

TVLine was asked about when the spinoff might return. Although the outlet did not have an exact release window set, it was mentioned that When Hope Calls season 2 is expected to premiere on Great American Family in Q2 of 2025, which would narrow the release month to either April, May, or June. Earlier reports mentioned a January release date.

CBS’s Ghosts will return from a month-long break with season two episode eight, an episode that finds Sam and Jay turning to Alberta for help. Directed by Nick Wong from a script by Zora Bikangaga, episode eight – “The Liquor License” – will air on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at 8:30pm Et/Pt.

Amazon Freevee has picked up its first original holiday movie, Hotel for the Holidays, to star Madelaine Petsch and Aladdin star Mena Massoud as the romantic leads.

Set in the Hotel Fontaine in New York City during Christmas, the holiday pic sees Georgia, played by Petsch, as a hotel manager who attracts eclectic guests looking for an escape from their everyday lives. But Georgia’s work and personal life becomes entangled when she is caught between the charming hotel chef Luke (Massoud) and a sophisticated ex-prince staying at the hotel.

Hotel for the Holidays, produced by Brad Krevoy’s Motion Picture Corporation of America, will debut this holiday season exclusively on the Amazon Freevee streaming service in the U.S. and UK.

The ensemble cast includes Max Lloyd-Jones, Kayleigh Shikanai, Jami Belushi, Neil Crone and Jayne Eastwood (My Big Fat Greek Wedding) as Florence.

Netflix released a trailer for Dave Chappelle’s newest comedy special, “The Closer,” which premieres globally on the service Oct. 5.

The trailer features Morgan Freeman narrating over footage of Chappelle driving down a country road. “He’s deep in thought, back in the trance. Five specials in as many years. How do you close a body of work that profound?” asks Morgan. This stand-up special completes a body of work which includes previous specials “The Age of Spin,” “Deep In The Heart Of Texas” “Equanimity,” “The Bird Revelation” and “Stick & Stones.”

As this comedic series begins, a small Muslim community in the fictional prairie town of Mercy, Saskatchewan (population 14,000) finally gets its own mosque. The only problem is that it's in a church and some of the local residents become irrationally alarmed.

The mosque's new Imam, Amaar Rashid (Zaib Shaikh), arrives from the big city to smooth things over. Unfortunately, his easy charm and progressive ways do little to convince the locals that Muslims aren't simply a bunch of terrorists.

Although CBC, a Canadian public TV network, didn't make any announcement, the fifth season of Little Mosque on the Prairie, a sitcom, begins production today in Ontario.

This show follows Amaar Rashid (Zaib Shaikh), a young and "liberal" Muslim imam from Toronto. He decides to go live in a small town of the Canadian Prairies (hello stereotypes!) where a small Muslim community coexists with "white" (if you know what I mean) people. Besides, it appears that the town's mayor (Debra McGrath) and one of her councillors (Sheila McCarthy), are so in favour of Canada's multiculturalism policy, which isn't an immigration policy in case you're too dumb to know.

The show also stars Carlo Rota, Sitara Hewitt, Brandon Firla, Neil Crone, Stephen Lobo and Arlene Duncan.

Finally, it appears that Little Mosque on the Prairie will premiere on CBC this fall.
