Over the course of its 11 seasons, "The Walking Dead" offered plenty of post-apocalyptic drama for viewers. However, this was only the beginning. Any popular series worth its salt can expect a spin-off or two, but "The Walking Dead" seems to have decided to stay true to its title by spawning a massive horde that will shamble on long after the original show's death and burial. Combine its copious spin-off shows with writer Robert Kirkman's original "The Walking Dead" comics and other material like the Telltale video game series, and the post-apocalyptic property is a bona fide multimedia franchise with so much material that even the most dedicated fan may find it hard to go through it all.

As such, it's understandable if fans of "The Walking Dead" want to pick their battles by only watching the shows that truly interest them. To help you on this quest, I've compiled...

First, let's get one thing straight -- "The Walking Dead" is a defining work of 2010s entertainment and one of the greatest television shows of all time. It debuted on AMC at the start of the decade, a time in which shows like "Mad Men" and "Breaking Bad" were positioning the network as the next HBO. But those two shows, which began years before "The Walking Dead," ended long before it as well.

The latter show continued to feed on a fanbase that itself was forced to live off of scraps -- "bonus" episodes, upsetting deaths used as mere shock value, and, oh God, so many cliffhangers. This cycle continued until the show effectively died -- then, appropriately, continued a few seasons more. It sprouted several spin-offs (which you have to watch in the correct order), and the creators even threatened to produce movies like fungus on a zombified corpse!

By rights, Superman & Lois should have ended after season 3. The CW was looking to get out of producing pricey scripted dramas, and with DC Studios' Superman reboot on the way, there was every chance the plug would be pulled without a satisfying resolution.

Fortunately, all the pieces fell into place, and we got a truncated fourth and final season. A few cast members fell by the wayside due to budget cuts, but Superman & Lois ended on a high note and managed to satisfy fans.

Season 4 introduced a villainous inventor called Milton, played by Nikolai Witschl. On the page, Brainiac poses as the human Milton Fine, and there were hints that Superman & Lois' "Milton" would eventually be revealed as the classic Superman baddie (he was even referred to as a "brainiac" at one point).

Talking to Screen Rant and Fan Expo Philadelphia, Lex Luthor actor Michael Cudlitz confirmed that the series scrapped plans for Brainiac.

Superman & Loisstar Michael Cudlitz recently unpacked how it felt to take on the iconic role of Lex Luthor as well as how the fan response to his portrayal affected him. One of the characters who was introduced late into the show was Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who played the antagonist, Negan. MultiCon is putting the final touches on its schedule, which will benefit recovery from the Los Angeles wildfires when it rolls into the Preserve LA on Saturday.

The panels (listed in full below), include a conversation with Kevin Smith, Rob Liefeld and Robert Kirkman, while newly announced guests include All That and Good Burger star Kel Mitchell and Vivien Lyra Blair, known for playing the young Leia in Obi-Wan Kenobi.

They join guests that include David Dastmalchian, Seth Green, Sean Gunn and others.

Liefeld will also sign art from his property Young Blood that will only be available at the convention. Superman & Lois stars Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch recently discussed The CW show, sharing their thoughts on the season finale. Titled "It Went By So Fast," the final episode aired on December 2, 2024, and depicted the iconic characters' respective deaths three decades after putting away their archnemesis Lex Luthor.

Hoechlin and Tulloch were on Megacon's Superman & Lois panel. In response to Cbr's question about their initial reaction to Superman & Lois Season 4's script, Tulloch responded, "I was surprised they went so full circle." Hoechlin added, "I thought it was very bold. When I read it, I felt different than when we started shooting it. I knew it would be good." In the season finale, Lois passes away after her cancer returns, with Clark joining her in the afterlife a few years later after dying of heart failure. The pair, however, enjoyed a full life together before their deaths.

Superman & Lois star Elizabeth Tulloch recently revealed there was a planned crossover with the Arrowverse franchise. It never materialized as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Speaking at MegaCon Orlando, Tulloch shared that Superman & Lois almost crossed over with Batwoman -- but the pandemic ended up impacting the studio's ability to film safely. "There was a brief discussion about us having a crossover with Batwoman, but there was [sic] strict Covid protocols back then," she said. "They were concerned about the cast."

Parks shared a first look at the unused costume to Instagram, and while it's not exactly the same as Steel's comic book suit, it does have the red cape and "S" chest emblem.

As it turns out, however, fans aren't the only runs reflecting in the wake of the finale as Jon Cryer, who joined the Arrowverse via Supergirl as Lex Luthor, is speaking out as well, and a big regret of his is not appearing on the recently concluded fan-favorite series.

During an interview with Kj Today, Cryer looked back at his contributions to the Arrowverse, and shared that his biggest regret was actually that he didn't get to appear in Superman & Lois. Cryer said, "The whole Arrowverse was just one for the nerds. I loved being a nerd. I loved reveling in it. We got into the deepest, darkest recesses of DC lore.
