The Boys Season 5 may be the last time audiences will see the anti-Supes task force, but that doesn't mean the mature-rated universe will be ending anytime soon. After the fifth and final season, Vought Rising tells the story behind the infamous company's foundation, starring Aya Cash and Jensen Ackles, reprising their roles as Stormfront and Soldier Boy, respectively. They won't be alone, however, as a new Supe has been cast in the fifth and final season of The Boys, as well as its Vought-centric spinoff.

Entertainment Weekly exclusively reports that Mason Dye, who previously appeared in Stranger Things, has been added to The Boys universe as Bombsight. The character is the third-oldest active Supe, just behind Stormfront and Soldier Boy, who started their careers in the 1950s. Although Dye is reportedly only a guest star in The Boys Season 5, he will have a recurring role in the prequel Vought Rising.

The Boys season 5 adds a new actor to its cast, as a Stranger Things star joins as a new Supe. Created by Eric Kripke, Prime Video's hit superhero parody show returned for season 4 earlier this year, continuing Billy Butcher's (Karl Urban) quest for vengeance against Homelander (Antony Starr) and Vought. Variety now reports that actor Mason Dye has been cast in The Boys season 5 as Bombsight. As for where audiences will have seen Dye previously, the actor recently appeared in Stranger Things season 4 as Jason Carver, a Hawkins High basketball star and supporting antagonist.

It's hard to be the most despicable character in The Boys, but playing a literal Nazi might just do it. Stormfront (Aya Cash) is returning for the show's first prequel series, titled Vought Rising, along with fan favorite Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles). Production is yet to begin on the highly-anticipated show, but Cash already has fans excited, teasing that Vought Rising could be peak The Boys.

Speaking to Screen Rant at the red carpet for her new HBO comedy series, The Franchise, Aya Cash was asked about her surprise return as Stormfront in Vought Rising. The actress started out by making an important public safety announcement, emphasizing that her character in the show and herself are two Very different people. "I want to be clear. She bad. She real bad. She bad bad bad. I don't agree with her. And I can't fly. We are different people," Cash said.

As part of the deal, Seasons 1 and 2 of “Mr. Mercedes” will stream exclusively on Peacock. Both of those seasons will debut on Oct. 15 on the streamer, while the premiere date for Season 3 is yet to be determined.

Based on the New York Times Best-Selling Bill Hodges trilogy by Stephen King, “Mr. Mercedes” follows a retired detective (Brendan Gleeson) who is tormented by a serial killer (Harry Treadaway) through a series of letters and e-mails, causing him to set out on a dangerous and potentially felonious crusade to protect his loved ones and himself.

“Mr. Mercedes” moved to Peacock Monday, where its first two seasons will stream following the shutdown of the show’s original home at AT&T Audience Network.

Coming to Peacock on Oct. 15, the series is based on the best-selling Bill Hodges trilogy by Stephen King, and “follows a retired detective who is tormented by a serial killer through a series of letters and e-mails, causing him to set out on a dangerous and potentially felonious crusade to protect his loved ones and himself.”

The series aired its third season last fall but has not been renewed since Audience Network officially bit the dust and rolled into a promo channel for HBO Max earlier this year. Reps for Peacock confirmed there are plans to air Season 3 at a later date, but did not disclose whether the series will be renewed for a fourth season.

Peacock has acquired crime-thriller drama series Mr. Mercedes, from David E. Kelley based on Stephen King’s bestselling Bill Hodges trilogy.

The first two seasons will premiere exclusively on the NBCUniversal streaming service on Thursday, October 15, with a premiere date for Season 3 Tbd. The announcement came Monday, on King’s birthday.

The fate of the series, which previously aired on AT&T Audience Network, had been in limbo since Audience announced in the spring that it was ceasing operations and transitioning into a preview channel for the WarnerMedia streaming service HBO Max, which is also owned by AT&T.

Yet another Stephen King novel is set to get the TV treatment. While folks may be more dead set on seeing some of Stephen King’s older work — like It, The Dark Tower, Firestarter, or The Mist — on the big and small screen, we can’t forget that the dude’s been writing pretty great novels in recent years as well.
