Jim Parsons and Todd Spiewak celebrated their nuptials in style.

The Big Bang Theory actor and his longtime partner looked rather dapper in custom Tom Ford tuxedos, as depicted in a series of photos Parsons posted to Instagram on Monday, two days after they tied the knot at the Rainbow Room in New York City.

The 44-year-old actor shared some of his favorite details of the special day in his heartfelt captions.

"She's our best friend, she was our wedding planner, she was our officiant and she played all three parts brilliantly this past Saturday: thank you and love you, @melissamcneeley (that Chuppah ain't bad, either, @doan_ly!)," Parsons captioned several snaps from the ceremony, crediting Amber Gress Photography.

The happy couple later changed into more festive jackets for the reception and first dance -- a white blazer for Spiewak and a burgundy velvet number for Parsons.

Sometimes, public pressure really does work. Over the past few days, you may have heard the stories that Rey, the character played by Daisy Ridley in The Force Awakens, is notably absent from Hasbro's Star Wars Monopoly set.

The board game comes with four playable characters from the Star Wars franchise, and they're all male: Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Finn and Kylo Ren. Mysteriously, the lead character of the entire new franchise is nowhere to be seen. As reports of Rey's absence circulated around the net, a letter written by an eight-year old Star Wars fan was also widely shared on Twitter.

Director Kirby Dick and producer Amy Ziering's 2012 documentary The Invisible War took a look at the epidemic of rape within the American military and won 2014 Emmy Awards for Best Documentary and Outstanding Investigative Journalism, Long Form; a 2013 Peabody Award; and the 2012 Sundance Film Festival Audience Award. It was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature. They now shift the focus to sexual assault on the American college campus with their new film, The Hunting Ground, a Radius TWC release which premiered at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival and opened in theatrical release February 27.

Among the sobering statistics documented in the film are the following:

1. One in five college women will be sexually assaulted.

2. One in 33 college men will be sexually assaulted.

3. Only five percent of campus assaults are reported.

Coronation Street star Bill Roache will lead the tributes to Anne Kirkbride at the National Television Awards tonight (January 21).

This evening's event at London's O2 will honour Kirkbride following the sad news that she has passed away at the age of 60.

After 42 years as Deirdre Barlow on the ITV soap, Nta organisers were naturally keen for Kirkbride's long career to be recognised at the ceremony.
